63 The Lady Engages the Black Knight 7

One of the few pieces I chose with Carina was a peach dress. The sleeves are fluffy and the cuffs and hem of the skirt are peeking at the same material lace. I wasn't used to wearing light-coloured clothes, but I looked forward believing in Carina, who said she was cute and sent me out.

After finishing the chatting meal, Sofia was summoned to the reception room. Elvin and Christina were there first, and two fine pieces of paper and a pen were placed on the table.

"Thank you, Mr. Sofia, for being late."

Elvin says with a natural smile. Sofia also smiled back at it. Does the tension appear on my face?

"No, thank you very much."

This is where Gilbert and Sofia get engaged. Sofia is less familiar with the sparkling interior illuminated with magic tools and has a strangely sacred atmosphere.

Gilbert came as soon as he could. I haven't changed yet and I'm still in my knight's clothes. Sofia liked Gilbert in the costume. It looks like she is at work for a glimpse, and she gets restless when she is at the side.

"Father, Mother. Thank you for today."

Gilbert bows his head politely. Elvin shook his neck to the left and right.

"No, I don't mind. It's a place for both of us. ─ ─ Sophia doesn't regret it, does she?

The affidavit was already signed by Elvin and Christina. Gilbert holds Sofia's right hand with his left hand.

"Sofia"

His name was called, and Sofia dropped her last hesitation. Looking up at Gilbert, he nodded once. Slowly untie the tied hands, Sofia moves on to the table.

"Yes, there is no regret. I will always be by Mr Gilbert's side. It may be a hassle for you. But... but I love Gilbert until then. My stepfather, my stepmother. Thank you for being a witness and admitting it."

Grab a pen and write your name in the signature field. How many more names do I have to name Sophia Renish? The Baron Renish now belongs to his uncle, aunt and cousin Bianca. Sophia is an important home with memories of her parents, but I'm sure things have changed since then. The remainder was that I could only visit my parents' tombs once. After the second year, my uncle and aunt had completely forgotten to visit the tomb, and even if they left the Baron's Mansion alone, they could not reach the hill where the tombs of the successive lords were.

Still, at the very least, it will reassure the deceased parents that they will be happy. Will you forgive me for seeing the future with trusted Gilbert?

─ ─ Master Gilbert

Sofia handed Gilbert the pen. When Gilbert receives it, he puts his signature on it without hesitation.

"Make Sofia happy. I promise."

Sofia didn't want to say that the handwriting was the same as the card she received one day. When I first came to the Marquis, I realized that the card in the room was autographed.

"Congratulations on your engagement, Gilbert. What about getting married?

Elvin rounded up two completed engagement pledges and asked Gilbert each with a leather leash.

"I think next spring. If it comes true, in the church of the realm,"

"Well! That church, if you say so. Spring is especially beautiful there. I'm sure Sophia would love that!

Christina nodded with a smile. Sofia leaned her neck without knowing where Gilbert said the church was.

"─ ─ There is a place I wanted to show you. If Sofia doesn't like it, I think it's good."

Gilbert peeks into Sofia's face. Do you feel guilty about deciding where to marry yourself? But Sofia didn't have any close friends besides Carina, and instead, she hesitated to do it grandly in the heart of King's Landing. I was delighted that Gilbert wanted to see the beautiful scenery together. You said territory because you care about Sofia. If you think so, you'll smile naturally.

"Yes, I'll come to either.... thank you, Gilbert."

I see.

Gilbert also smiles sweetly. Christina stared at Elvin in surprise and said nothing. Elvin opens his mouth.

"Sophia, this is your pledge."

Rounded and tied paper was handed over. Thick paper insists on its existence in Sofia's hands. She pulled it towards her chest and held it gently.

"Thank you for accepting me. I'll do my best to meet my expectations..."

"Sofia. What we're expecting is that you like Gilbert and you're on your side."

Christina said in a soft voice to Sofia. Faced up, Elvin wrote a pledge. I'm sure they'll take it back to the territory.

"─ ─ Yes. Then... I'm confident."

It was a strong word that Sofia had never spoken before. Christina strokes Sofia's head in a seeping sight. The warmth was like the kindness of my real mother, and I endured tears that were about to overflow.
