There were no other incidents during Lauriel and Aleksis' time in Chiang Mai. They stayed in a hotel in the city center and spent time relaxing around some of the famous Buddhist temples there.
That night, they went to bed at 8 pm because very early in the morning they would be picked up by a tour company to go to the mountain to ride a hot air balloon while enjoying the sunrise.
Lauriel paid for his own private air balloon so that he and Aleksis were not crammed together in one balloon with other tourists. Hot air balloons were usually filled with 8 to 12 passengers, so to get a private balloon for the two of them he still had to pay a fare for 8 people. Lauriel didn't mind because he had a lot of money and he didn't like crowds.
Many groups of tourists and couples who saw him and Aleksis riding in a balloon alone only thought that they were a father and daughter who were grieving because of the mother's death and were entertaining themselves by air ballooning in Chiang Mai.
All the women who saw them felt deep sympathy and wished that they could comfort the father and daughter duo. As usual, their beautiful appearance attracted the attention of so my people.
Aleksis looked like a little angel and Lauriel was the big angel, who walked nonchalantly through the crowd and climbed into their private balloons.
Aleksis was chattering happily and seemed very excited to be able to ride such a beautiful balloon. The temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius and many people were trembling in their jackets. However, Lauriel and Aleksis did not seem to be affected by the cold. They both had very high resistance to cold.
Looking nonchalant, they climbed into the air balloon basket wearing only their usual thin clothes. This alone made them the target of people's envious looks.
When the hot air balloon was heated and they slowly climbed into the air, Lauriel lifted Aleksis and placed the girl on the bench so she could see out of the basket.
A red tinge slowly rose in the east as the sun began to emerge from the horizon. The colors became more vibrant as the sun slowly moved up in the sky.
The atmosphere was very solemn. The balloon attendant continued to heat the air in the balloon and after they reached a height of 500 meters, he stopped heating it.
Now they just drifted in the direction of the wind. That morning there were about twenty hot air balloons that were lifted and adorned the sky with beautiful colors.
The balloon attendant then took out a glass and a bottle of champagne from the cooler and poured a glass for Lauriel, and gave Aleksis a glass of milk. He then arranged a small table in the middle of the balloon, between the two benches, then served a simple breakfast which consisted of sandwiches, eggs, and fruits.
This was a special flight package, where passengers could have breakfast and champagne while enjoying their sunrise in the hot air balloon. The attendant was rather surprised because his guests were not a couple on their honeymoon, but instead a father and daughter.
Inwardly he wondered what had happened to the mother that the father and daughter went on an adventure alone.
