When you have something in common with someone, you will naturally feel a sense of intimacy.

The conversation with the woman who called herself Sophie was lively, and we even ended up talking about why I came to this village.

“Oh, so you lost your girlfriend and got kicked out of the party?”

“It’s a pathetic story.”

In a nutshell, it was a shameful story.

Sophie made a surprising statement as she smiled with a bitter smile, thinking that she wasn’t talking to others too much.

“That’s not the case. I was just surprised because I was the same.”

You mean there’s a man who would dump such a beautiful woman and kick her out? ……!

What’s that? I’ve only known her for a short time, but I know that she is a kind and caring woman. From my point of view, she’s perfect on the outside(appearance) and inside. Honestly, I’m worried about the brain of the guy who kicked her out!

“Are you saying that your girlfriend dumped you and the church kicked you out?” [T/N: Lars thinks that he was dumped by his girlfriend so Sophie’s girlfriend dumped her too. Because she said that it’s the same for her.]

“In my case, it was a fiancé who decided it on his own, but then he told me that he was going to marry another woman, and then the church kicked me out.”

“That’s …….”

That was tough. I couldn’t say that.

It’s a tough world for a woman to live in on her own, and giving her words of comfort will only drive her away.

But Sophie seemed to be a stronger woman than that.

“I’m enjoying being able to act freely now(now it’s fun to be free to act). And I’ve met some new people this way. Today has been nothing but good.”

I was fascinated by the smile she gave me.

Not only was she beautiful, but she had a strong core.

She was completely different from Colette and the other women who had followed the Hero Licht. She is such an attractive woman that it would be rude to compare her to them.

She said she would live here, and I would like to get to know her better. It was more than enough reason to think so.

“I’m glad to have met you too, and I hope we can get along well as newcomers in this village.”

Just as I was about to put out my hand to shake hers, the food I had ordered was placed on the table with a deliberately loud thud.

“Lars. If you’re going to pick up girls, you might as well go somewhere else.”

I looked up to see a old man standing there with several cuts on his face and a balding head.

“Pops, wasn’t it Helmine’s job to carry the food?”

“I don’t need to be called ‘Pops’ by you. She’s serving food to another customer.”

“So you’re saying that if it were me, I’d be okay with you?”

“Of course not. I’d rather not have my daughter around.”

Sophie was rushing to the sudden exchange of hard words.

“This foul-mouthed old man is Coco’s husband, and we had a bit of an involvement a few years ago. We know each other.”

Maybe he didn’t like the way I introduced him, or maybe he wasn’t happy about it, but I didn’t care.

Sophie finally regained her composure, having somehow guessed our relationship.

“Ufufu, you knew each other. I was nervous that it might start into a fight.”

The smile returned to Sophie’s face, and now she and her father could look on together. [T/N: Not sure about this line.]
