# Even though it’s a mistake of my brethren, although not the original.
Five of the adventurers were fascinated. Two of them are coming towards me.
The rest were attacking Roy, with me acting as a wall to keep them from getting too close to Sophie. If it was a charm, I could undo it, so I had plenty of time to kill it, but I couldn’t help it. It seemed that my warning had been heeded, and Roy and the others were equally defensive, not attacking.
Even if I used my restraining magic, it would only stop them for a few seconds. *Is it best to buy some time… ?*
Perhaps Eva has recovered, the Black Knight whose wounds have healed is fighting Alma and the surviving Church Knights. It’s a turbulent battle. It’s hard to tell who’s on your side and who’s your enemy. Sophie’s magic will be the key to breaking through this situation.
“[Sanity]”
It’s a spell that returns the mind to normal. The enchanted adventurer was enveloped in a pale blue light for a moment, and as soon as his eyes returned to normal, he lost consciousness and slowly collapsed.
I’ve heard that the power of vampire enchantment is powerful, but to be able to break it in one shot, that’s impressive. As for Roy and the others, the healers have tried several times, but they can’t seem to break it.
“Sophie, can you take care of that one too?”
She nodded vigorously at my question, then returned it.
“What about Lars-san?”
“Even though it’s a mistake of my brethren, although not the original. I’ll take responsibility for it.”
I glared at Eva. I had given her too much time to spend, and the wound on her throat was almost healed.
“I’ll go.”
I walk slowly and approach. She tried to charm me, but the same move wouldn’t work more than once. I resisted and nullified it.
“I don’t know why, but just looking at your face pisses me off! Why!? Why!?”
Her memory is confused. I think she’s scared of me.
Even though you’re a vampire, you’re not an ancestor or a pureblood. It may be in the upper ranks, but that about it. It’s not that hard to fight one on one.
“Disappear immediately. Return my hero!”
She unleashed a [Black Spear], but I approached her while knocking it down with my sword.
“I’m sorry. I’m partly responsible for the distorted personality of Licht.”
If I hadn’t given him the credit, if I hadn’t let him take the title of [Hero], there might have been a different future.
*Even now, I sometimes think of that closed future.*
“You can resent me, but you have to die here quietly. Don’t worry, I’ll kill the person who turned you into a vampire.”
Thinking that I couldn’t be defeated by magic, Eva swung the staff she was holding and attacked.
The way she skillfully attacked me, using centrifugal force so that she could generate power even with her ineffective strength, was exactly the same as I remembered her.
But it wasn’t enough to defeat me. Even though her body had been strengthened by being a vampire, there was no way I could lose to a [Healer] in close combat.
I swung my sword twice and sliced off both of her arms. When Eva, who had lost her means of attack, jumped in to bite me, I swung my sword wide to crush her head.
“Rest now.”
I swing down, feeling sorry for her. At that moment, a black knight appeared in front of me. I hit his head directly and it falls down with a metallic sound.
“Hero!!!!”
Forgetting about me, Eva’s took his helmet off and she covered the black knight with his face exposed.
The man in black armor had a face that I had never seen before.
He must have sensed the danger and moved through the shadows. Unlike Licht, the fake hero would not betray her to the end. *Are you going to accept and protect her distorted love to the end?*
“I won’t let you kill my, my only hero!”
She glares at me as she protects the Black Knight. Tears of blood are flowing out.
I was hesitant to stab her because I could see her image overlapping with the future me and Sophie.
