Chapter 9: Evolutionary Frenzy·Era of Warriors

As time passed, this simulation reached an end similar to the Earth Breeding Ground scenario.

Even the Three-Clawed Jiao Dragon, when facing the Devouring Behemoth, an extraterrestrial anomaly, could only resist a few moves before being annihilated.

Huang, with strength comparable to the Jiao Dragon, also perished under the claws of the Devouring Behemoth. The disparity was too vast. The difference between them wasn’t just numerical but a chasm of qualitative magnitude.

“Even if buried in the darkest abyss, I shall proceed.” With a resolve to face certain death and backed by the countless people of Summer Country, Huang unleashed a life-consuming slash.

This slash tore apart the heavens and the earth, severing an arm of the Devouring Behemoth.

However, in the moment of that strike, Huang – revered as the Ancestor of Warriors, the strongest man – lost all colors of life.

“Is the gene serum not powerful enough?” Jiang Yi pondered, stroking his chin, then negated his own thought.

The principle of the gene serum was to absorb and compress the essence of fierce beasts’ flesh and blood, unlocking human potential. Thus, the upper limit of Blue Star’s fierce beasts determined the potency of the gene serum.

Even the Three-Clawed Jiao Dragon was no match for the Devouring Behemoth. Even if Summer Country developed fourth or fifth-generation gene serums, it’s likely only serving as fodder for the Behemoth.

“Perhaps the development direction of warriors should change, no longer primarily focusing on gene serums,” Jiang Yi mused.

He thought of Huang, who, with just the third-generation gene serum, trained his body to match top-tier fierce beasts.

Prepared, he uncorked the serum and drinks the bright red, magnificent liquid. The familiar sensation of searing heat and tearing pain courses through him, ravaging his body.

Despite being prepared, the intense pain forced him to clench his teeth, sweat pouring down his overheated head and forming a small puddle on the floor.

As the genetic evolution came to an end, Jiang Yi exhaled deeply, “My body is still too weak. Skipping Gene serum II and directly consuming the third version was almost too much to bear.” He exhaled a long white breath, dissipating into the air.

Thankfully, the pain was worth it. Moving his shoulders, he heard a roaring sound, astonished by the power he’s able to generate.

This was followed by an intense hunger. Well-prepared, he quickly devoured the food on the table, each bite barely chewed before swallowing.

After eating, he contemplated his dwindling savings. “I need to figure out a way to manage in the real world...” he musesd cleaning the food remnants from his mouth.

With his current physical condition and the various rewards from the simulation system, he had numerous ways to gain wealth, honor, and power. But the strategy for that remains a question to ponder.

“Should I start influencing the real world now?” Jiang Yi mused, looking at the simulation points on the system panel, deep in thought.

To initiate a new timeline simulation required a whopping 100,000 points. Relying solely on the Evolutionary Frenzy simulation world might not be sufficient.

“System, apart from initiating new timeline simulations and expanding the simulation range, are there other uses for simulation points?”

[Response to the host: Simulation points can also materialize items that appeared in the simulation world. These materialized items can be freely used, both in the simulation and the real world].

“Ah, I see,” Jiang Yi nodded. He had worried that relying only on random rewards from each simulation might limit his future development. With this new information, those concerns were alleviated.

Muttering to himself, “Seems like a good day’s work. I should think through the outline and details to shape the future developments logically.”
