"What are you waiting for? Go and buy me something to sober me up! Make it fast!" shouted the General Manager to his Night Manager, who was not able to say anything and looking at the back of their boss.
"What? Did you not hear my command?" as he approached the Night Manager and struck his nape loudly. *Pak!* Tanaga and the butler clearly heard the loud strike of the General Manager to his Night Manager.
"Son of a bitch!" the butler said as he was about to approach the General Manager. However, Tanaga stopped him, and he personally went to the General Manager. He silently approached the back of the G.M.
When he was standing at the back of the GM, he tapped his shoulder without saying anything.
The General Manager chucked away the hand of Tanaga as he turned around. "Who's the devil who had the guts to touch me?" shouted the G.M.
"Pak! Pak!" Tanaga gave the General Manager a pair smacks in the head while he looked at him like a demon. What was only missing was for him to grow a pair of horns, and he could already be called a devil with the way he was fiercely looking at the General Manager.
"Sir! CEO Jones! Why?" asked the GM while massaging his head from the painful smack he got from Tanaga.
Instead of answering him, Tanaga walked towards the General Manager's chair and sat down. He was still not saying anything, although his face has relaxed a bit. He just sat there staring at the General Manager while the GM had a cold sweat.
Tanaga breathed deeply first, and then he asked the General Manager to come closer. The GM quickly approached him and stood before the table, waiting for Tanaga to speak.
He was already ready to be reprimanded and be fired because he already knew Tanaga's temperament, so he forestalled him...
"Sir. Please forgive me! I know that I made a mistake by coming here while drunk. But boss, it's already beyond my office hours and it just so happens that I was at a party when my stupid Night Manager call me. I was not able to go home anymore to change and drink something to make me sober."
The General Manager had the gall to make excuses and call his Night Manager stupid. What he didn't know was that was not the reason why Tanaga got mad. He was angry because he hurt his employees. That is a big mistake on his part.
Finally, Tanaga spoke without even blinking…"If I were you, I'll go home and sleep to sober up. Then, tomorrow, come here early and go to H.R. and get your last pay. Do you understand what I am saying? Or, do you want me to repeat myself?"
When the General Manager was unable to answer, the butler decided to call the security guard, and he asked them to escort out the G.M. out of the hotel. The G.M. was unable to do anything but to comply and follow quietly because he knew nothing good could come out if he would argue back while he was still drunk.
When the G.M. left, Tanaga then faced the Night Manager who was quietly standing on the side, shaking in fear.
Tanaga looked at the name tag of the Night Manager to know his name before speaking, "Jose Mendez, I only have one question...Did your ex-boss do the right thing to you?"
Jose was surprised by what Tanaga said, 'Ex-boss? Did I hear it right that asshole is not my boss anymore? Hahaha! Serves him right. He thought he was untouchable because he was the G.M. Don't ever make a mistake of showing up in front of me, or else, I'll have him beaten up.' Jose said to himself. He did not notice that Tanaga was observing him carefully.
"Sorry, sir! He did not do the right thing a while ago. No one should be maltreated like that. Be that as it may, we cannot do anything about it because if we complain, we might lose our job."
"Hmmm, what do you mean…. Is that the way the upper management run the business here?" Tanaga asked gently and was genuinely interested in Jose's answer.
"Yes, sir!" answered Jose while looking at his feet, unable to look at Tanaga.
"Understand! Alright, go back to your duty and leave us here."
Jose quickly bowed and said, thank you before he left the office of the General Manager.
As soon as he left, that was only Jose Mendes was able to breathe correctly while doing the sign of the cross. He thanked the Lord for answering his prayers that he had been praying for so long, that is for the cruel General Manager to be removed from his job….
