Chapter 166 - Trial Period!

After hearing that, Ashley quickly spoke before her mother gets distraught and who knows what would happen then. She immediately blurts it all out in a heartbeat.

"My boss, Sir Tanaga, likes me! What do you think of that?" Asked Ashley with wide eyes full of anticipation.

"What did you just said? Is it true what you just said that he likes you? Wow! Hahaha!" 

Ashley's eye widened more when she heard her mother's response. She couldn't believe how happy her mother from her news.

"I knew it! It's unbelievable for him to do all those things when you guy left to go back to Japan. No ordinary boss would do what he did, no matter how nice he is. Unless he has some kind of feeling towards you, and If you ask me, he has my vote!" Said Fely proudly.

"However, the most important is how you feel about him?" Her mother told her straight up while a smiling form ear to ear.

"Really?! you approved of him? Hahaha! That's good, that's really a piece of good news. As a matter of fact, I have something I need to tell you.  It regards my relationship with Tanaga.

"However, you must promise me first that you're not telling dad or any of my brothers. I'm afraid they would not understand, and they might not approve of him." She excitedly told her mother.

Since she knows that her mother approved, unlike her brothers... She thought about telling her mother they're relationship. The only thing that she's contemplating and thinking hard... is if she should tell her the truth that they are now married or just dating? She had to pause and think deeply, for it's a matter of life and death how she approaches the subject.

"Ashley!!! What is it? Are you planning to give me a heart attack? Come on! Spit it out?" Mother Fely asking while holding her breath, waiting for her reply...

Ashley wanted to say that they were already married. However, she didn't want to upset her mother more since it's an extraordinary moment in their life. They should have been there when they got married, her father should have walked her to the altar and lastly...-It's just a fake marriage.

"Mom, why are you in such a hurry. The thing is, as you know..- I've never had a boyfriend. Now, I'm not sure how I feel about him. So, right now, we are in the trial period. You know what I mean, right?" Said Ashley, who was obviously nervous because she wasn't used to lying to her mother.

" I don't know what you mean, my chile. So, for now, you two are just dating... and you're just in a trial period, right? "Fely's mother only made sure she understood what her child meant.

" You got it! That's what I meant! Our trial period is for one year. Now, after my contract is finished and it doesn't work out between us ... I'm going home. No, if and but! " 

It is okay, sweetheart! Just remember one thing- whatever happens between the two of you, we're only here. In fact, this is just in case it happens... That you have a misunderstanding before a year comes up ... Don't hesitate to go home, do you understand? "Fely reminded Ashley while it clearly shows on her face that she's worried.

" Mom, please! Don't worry, I'll always remember what you told me. Alright! Goodnight mom! I love you!" She then quickly hung up and didn't bother to wait for her mother to reply because tears were about to fall from her eyes.

Since the day that she was born up until now, she never lied to her mother. To her father and her sibling, she had done it so many times. But to her beloved mother, never. So she really feels terrible now and rushing to hang up the phone so her mom would not see it.

After Ashley finished speaking to her mother, she tried to sleep again so she wouldn't look like a panda when morning comes.

"Hmmm' what a night! I wonder what time it is?" Ashely mumbles as she got up from the bed. Since she didn't get to sleep until late, she was also late getting up. If Inday had not knocked at her door to wake her up, she would probably have slept through the day.

"Good morning, ma'am! Your breakfast is ready. Eat up first, and I'll get your things ready while you eat!" Inday exclaimed as she opened the curtain for the light to enter the room.

"OMG, What time is it? Why is the sun out already?" Said Ashley while stretching her arms and yawning at the same time.

"Seven-thirty. Ma'am. I'm sorry, I just now woke ou up. I thought you set the alarm." Inday explained while her eyes were on the floor and not looking. She's afraid that Ashley might scold her.

To relieve Inday's nervousness, Ashley first smiled as she stood up from the bed. "No, it's not your fault, okay! I didn't even tell you to wake me up, so you're not the one to be blamed when I'm late." She said as she made her way to the bathroom to bathe.

When she had finished fixing herself, she hurried to the dining room to see what Inday's prepared for breakfast. Ashley saw that Tiny was already eating and didn't wait for her anymore.

When Tiny saw Ashley, he quickly stood up and would have taken his plate to the kitchen.  However, Ashley noticed. "Brother Tiny, where are you going? Come back! Sit down! Let's eat together." Ashley ordered as she sat down.

"Inday! Where are you? Let's all eat together. Let's hurry up, for I'm going to be late!" Ashley shouted while shoving food in her mouth.

Due to Ashley's loud cries and she's acting like the devil is chasing her as she made her meal and shoving food in her mouth one after another... - Tiny stopped arguing and sat down to continue eating with the lady boss.

A moment later, Inday also came from the kitchen carrying a 'bento' lunch box.

"Mom, I know they don't cook Filipino food in the canteen in your office. So here it is! I prepared your lunch." Inday placed the two bento beside Tiny. "One for ma'am Ashley and one for you too, sir, Tiny," Inday said shyly as he sat down next to Tiny to eat.

The three were like firefighters from the way they were eating. No one was speaking, they were all busy shoving food in their mouth without a word.

A few minutes later, Ashley got up and went back into the room to brush her teeth and to fix herself. Tiny quickly helped Inday clear the table while Ashley was gone.

Finally, it was only a matter of time before Tiny and Ashley were inside the vehicle, on the way to THJ Group Headquarters... -where Koji Hanada is excitedly waiting for Ashley's arrival.
