Chapter 197 - Coming To America [4]

Tiny was laughing out loud while driving. She was like a child on the way to Disneyworld for the first time. 

"Hahaha! Slow down, kid! You will know all the answers when we get there. But, Yes! I've been there, and yes, it's cold out there since it's the winter season. Hahaha! "

She Innocently looked outside and stopped bothering Tiny. Half an hour later, they arrived at Narita International Airport. As soon as the car stopped, Tiny put the car in park and opened his door. 

As he stepped out, someone came to pick up the key. He hands it over before going around to the passenger side of the car to open the door for her.

The man popped the trunk while another man came with a cart to pick up their luggage. Meanwhile Tiny opened the door for Ashley. With his help, Ashley slowly descended the vehicle like a goddess.

She made sure that she looks her best for this flight. She wore the new design that KC made for her. Designer purse and shoes with simple adornment but classy.

When Ashley finished, she looks at herself in the mirror in shock at what she saw; she couldn't recognize herself. The reflection in the mirror is like someone else, the young and innocent girl from the Philippines is gone. Replaced by a sophisticated and beautiful young woman.

That's why passer-by couldn't help themselves to wonder who she is. Some even turned around to have a second look and admire.

A group of Filipino's who just arrived from the Philippines passed by and couldn't help themselves admire and envy at the same time. They had no idea that Ashley is also Filipino due to the dark sunglasses that she's wearing. Therefore, she heard what they were saying as they passed by and stood right next to the car.

"Sigh! Life is really unfair. Why is it that there are people born with everything. Just look at her, she's beautiful, rich, and who knows... what else. What else is missing?" One of them said as they stood and waiting for their service.

"Yup! As for us, we need to come here and work our arse off just to provide for our family back in the Philippines. Gosh! How I envy her." Said the other one.

Ashley couldn't help herself and smile secretly. Who would have thought that not long ago, she was in the same predicament as those people?

She went to Japan with the same purpose; to work so she could provide for her parents. But, now... -she's walking around the airport looking like a diva. 

Who would says the person they were seeing now was a simple girl from the Philippines. From head to toe, she was screaming wealth. However, that's just outside appearance. Deep inside Ashley, she's still the same humble girl from the Philippines, and she would remain the same no matter what she wore.

When Tiny helped her stepped out of the vehicle, "thank you! Brother, Tiny!" Said Ashley in Tagalog with a genuine smile.

The group of Filipino who was waiting for their service heard them, and they were astonished. The reaction was amusing significantly when Ashley nodded and smile at them. 

The two Filipina nodded as well and shyly smiled back. "Wow! She's so kind and sweet. She's not some snooty spoilt brat even though you could tell she rich. How I wish that our boss would be someone like her." Said one while the other also wish the same.

"So do I! So do I!" The other one said with a bright smile.

Tiny stopped Ashley for a moment. "Ma'am, please! Stay here for a moment while I speak to someone." He then went towards the front desk of the airlines and spoke to one of the customer services. 

After a brief conversation, Tiny went back to where she was waiting. "This way, ma'am Ashley!" Said Tiny as he ushered her towards the VIP waiting room.

As she walks towards the VIP room, Ashley could not avoid the unthinkable. The time when she had arrived from the Philippines a few months ago. Her face suddenly saddened when she saw the door where she was met by that wicked lady from the syndicate. 

She unknowingly made a signed of the cross to pray. "Lord, thank you so much for the luck I found. I Promise! I will do everything in my power to help my fellow countrymen that might be in the same situation as I did. " Promised Ashley as she entered the VIP room.

As soon as they entered the VIP room, Tiny excused himself to take care of the boarding passes.

She only nodded and went to find a place to sit. She looked around the whole area and saw a more secluded corner with a couch.

"Hmmm, that should be a good place. It's quiet, and I could text or even do a facetime with Tan." She mumbles as she walks towards the corner area of the room.

As soon as she sat down, she put her purse down and began composing her text for her husband.

Ashley: [Hi! I'm at the airport now and waiting to get on the plane! See you soon! ????????????] Then she hit the send button.

A few minutes later, her cellphone lit up, and she saw that it was Tanaga calling her instead of texting back or doing a facetime call. "He must in the meeting, somewhere where he can't do a facetime," Ashley said as she slid her finger to answer the call.

"I missed you!" Tanaga greeted her quickly, but his voice was weak, and it seemed to be covering the cellphone with his hand.

"Hahaha! What are you doing? I'm on my way already. Tomorrow when you go back to your hotel, we will be there already waiting for you. You are really something else!" She was over the moon while she banters with her husband.

'Wow! Is this how it feels to be in love, just to hear the voice of the person I love, my heart grows fonder.' She thought as she waited for Tanaga's answer.

"I know! Am I supposed to control my feelings? No way!"Tanaga said softly, but Ashley could hardly hear his weak voice. It's nothing but a mere whisper.

" Tan, if you're busy, It's okay, go back to what you were doing. Embarrassingly, I don't know where you are right now, hopefully not inside of the President's Oval Office; It's embarrassing. Said Ashley, who is obviously concerned for her husband.

"Are you sure you are still in Japan? How did you know that I'm inside the President's Oval Office? Hahaha! I could never fool you!"Tanaga replied, wondering how Ashley had guessed where he was.
