Chapter 212 - Removing Her Make-up

Shortly after that, they took the private elevator to the hotel's Presidential Suite. When they arrived inside, Ashley went straight into the master bedroom and lay down on the bed. Fortunately, Tanaga followed immediately and saw what his wife had done. 

He shook his head and smiled before approaching Ashley again. 

"Dear, take off your jacket first. Raise your hand, and I'll help you." Ashley followed suit as her eyes still closed. Tanaga lifted her suit jacket without even opening one of her eyes. 

"Just a moment and I'll get rid of your make up. You shouldn't sleep with make-up, and it might ruin your beautiful complexion." Tanaga said as he went to the bathroom to get a wet face towel so he could wash Ashley's body thoroughly.

Just as Tanaga was right at the bathroom door, he heard someone knocking.

"Sir ma'am! This Tiny! Your luggage!" Tiny shouted outside the door.

"Just leave it at the door, and I'll get it," Tanaga replied as he placed the wet face towel on the nightstand. Ashley also heard what Tiny said and opened her eyes to stand up.

"Hep, hep, hep! Where are you going? Just lie there, and I'll take care of our belongings. Don't worry about anything. I'll take care of it. Go ahead! Go back and rest." Tanaga then went to the door to retrieve their luggage.

Tiny was still standing at Tanaga's door. "Oh, why are you still here? Haven't you heard me say I'm taking care of our belongings? All right! I'll take it inside." Tanaga looked for Ashley's luggage and went ahead to find her make up kit. He had no trouble finding it.

He opened it and sought a make-up remover. When he could not find it, he was getting upset because he did not know what else to use. 

"This is the only item in her make-up kit. Hmmm, we have to go shopping tomorrow. In the meantime, I guess I'll just use soap and water." Tanaga mumbles to himself as he went into the kitchen to fetch a bowl for water to clean his wife's make-up.

When Tanaga returned to Ashley's side ... She was already asleep, so Tanaga just let her sleep first. She thought if she wiped Ashley's face, it might wake her up.

Therefore, he simply covered his wife before picking up the bowl with warm water, wet towels, and soap that he plans to use as a make-up remover.

He puts it all in the bathroom, then goes out to order Sato to have their dinner ready in case Ashley wakes up, and she's hungry. When he finished giving the order to Sato, only then he thought about taking a bath and changed clothes.

Tanaga had no idea he was the subject of the Sato and Tiny's conversation.

"I can't believe Sir Jones actually brought their luggage to the room. I've been with him for more than ten years, and this is the first time it ever happened." Tiny said with wide eyes.

"I, too, have noticed that Sir Jones has changed dramatically since he met ma'am Ashley. Hopefully, no one would ever come between them, do you know how hard it is to work with a mean boss?" Sato complains.

"Hahaha! That's right, that's why I'm doing everything in my power to prevent that from happening." Tiny boasted.

Little did they know that Tanaga overheard their conversation, and he just shook his head and smiled before returning to their room without letting the two know.

Sato and Tiny had no idea that Tanaga was in deep thought after hearing their conversation. He too wishes that nothing would ever come between him and Ashley. Especially now that she's pregnant... He would pamper her and love her, till death do they part.

It was deep into the night when Ashley woke up. Her stomach ached because she had not yet had dinner, so she woke up. The whole room was dimmed. So she did not immediately realize that Tanaga had fallen asleep beside her.

The first thing she looked at was the alarm clock on the side of the table. "Hmmm, it's eleven o'clock already, but where is Tanaga?" She mumbles as she got ready to get up in search of her husband.

As she was about to get off the bed, her foot was already hanging toward the floor. When...

"Whoops!"

She was pulled back in bed by her husband as he hugged her tightly, causing her to fall quickly. Her face fell right on Tanaga's chest. 

"Where do you think you're going? Hmmm, did you rest enough?" He asked endearingly while Ashley could hardly hear what he said because his mouth was sinking into her hair as it absorbed the fragrance of her hair.

"Tan, I can't breathe for a moment..." She pushed back her husband.

Tanaga, in turn, apologized to Ashley but did not allow her to get up. Instead, he let her use his arms as a pillow while he gently caressed his wife's stomach.

"Are you hungry? I asked to have some food cooked for you, and I think it's cold now. Do you want me to heat it so we could eat?" Asked Tanaga as if he had been doing it all along.

In all of Tanaga's life, he had never prepared his food. Even when he was in college in America, butler Ruffy was with him and a few maids to serve all his needs.

Therefore, never in his entire life had he prepared his food. But now, for his wife... his willingness to do all kinds of things such as preparing food in the middle of the night.

"I think it would be better if the two of us went to the kitchen and see what we could find. Let's go!" Ashley offered as she grabs his hand and tries to pull him so they could go to the kitchen together.

He accepted his wife's offered hands and let her help him get up from the bed. However, once he was up, he quickly lifted her and carried her like a princess to the kitchen.

"Tan! Put me down, please!" She pleaded as she smacked him on his arms.

"Ouch! That hurts, you know. Why do you always hit me, do you know how heavy your hand is. It feels like you had been lifting weight back in the Philippines." He banters while stealing a kiss.

"Tsup!"

"Hmph!" She pouted but she loved it when he steals a kiss like that.

"What do you mean? Your complaining when you are the one who always steals a kiss whenever I smack you." Ashley whispered to her husband before placing her head on his chest and letting him take her to the kitchen.
