Chapter 214 - Over My Dead Body!

After the couple had eaten, they helped each other clean up and washed the dishes. It was also the first time in Tanaga's life that he had cleaned up after himself and washed dishes. 

Nevertheless, he was so happy, and Tanaga's smile filled his lips as he and Ashley joked around while they were doing the dishes. 

They were having so much fun playing around when he suddenly turned serious and asked...

"Ash, do you think your parents would accept me?" 

It stunned Ashley to hear him suddenly asked such a question. She turned and looked at him straight in his eyes before she responded. 

"Sweetheart, with your billions alone, which parent would dare not to accept you? Not that my parents were money-hungry. To add to that, you can also do the dishes well. I don't think they would be able to resist liking you. What do you think ...?" Ashley banters while busy wiping the plate dry.

"So' that's how it is..." Tanaga then dipped his hand in the soap and made sure it has bubbles before pressing Ashley's nose with it.

"Hahaha! You look so much better when the tip of your nose is white. Hahaha!" Tanaga laughed out loud. 

Unknown to them that their bodyguards outside the door could hear them.

The two bodyguards looked at each other while asking questions. "Is that sir Jones? Really! He also knows how to laugh." Said one of the bodyguards.

"Oh my! Now I believe in the power of Love. For the whole week, we had been living in hell, and it only took a day since his wife arrived... Now we hear laughter. 

Hahaha!" The two bodyguards laughed out loud too.

When the couple finished cleaning up, leaving the dining room and kitchen spotless, instead of going back to bed, Tanaga decided since they were wide awake... It's better to head out to the Condo so they could go to the office first in the morning.

He was also thinking of taking Ashley to Galleria Mall to shop for her family's Christmas gift after visiting the newly opened THJ Marine Division.

Tiny and Seto were just about to fall asleep when they suddenly heard Tanaga's knock on both of their door simultaneously. 

" Sato! Tiny! I want you guys to get ready; we will leave for the Condo asap. Ashley couldn't sleep anymore, so let's get out of here." Said Tanaga from the outside of their doors.

Once he had informed them, he quickly turned around to go back to their room without worrying if they heard him or not. He's accustomed to his employees to be alert at all times. 24/7 365 days a year.

A few minutes later, the bellboy arrived to retrieve their belongings while the couple was already prepared to leave. Meanwhile, the sleepyhead Sato and Tiny came out of their room with a frown on their faces. 

However, it all suddenly disappeared once they saw the couple already standing at the living ready to go. 

A couple of minutes later, they were on the road already on the way to the Condo. 

Since it was late at night already, it was dark outside, and Ashley couldn't see anything outside the window. She decided just to lean her head into her husband's chest and enjoy the ride.

The next day, Ashley woke up early because she was still jetlag, and her time was all messed up. Tanaga was still sound asleep, so Ashley decided she would surprise him, make him breakfast, and serve it in bed.

She thought that since they were in America that there would be no housemaid to help them.

Therefore, she already prepares herself to pamper him and take care of all his needs. But to her surprise, when she arrived in the kitchen, there was a Spanish woman already cooking their breakfast.

"Good morning!" Ashley greeted the housekeeper with a sweet smile on her face.

"Buenas Dias, senorita!" Greeted back the housekeeper with respect as she continued cooking.

She only smiled after hearing the housekeeper called her senorita. 

"Can I help you cook?" Ashley's offered kindly.

"No-no! Senorita, 'I can cook! You go! I make coffee for you!" The housekeeper said in her broken English.

"Are you sure? I know how to cook!" Ashley insists. "By the way, what is your name?" He asked the housekeeper.

"My name is Gina, Senorita!" 

"Gina, it's a very nice and easy name to remember." Muttered Ashley as she stood in the kitchen, unsure of what to do next.

"Gina, please! Don't cook too much, ok! Only egg and toast for me. And for my husband ... Maybe make some bacon and sausage. But not too much for us, I don't want to waste food." 

When she saw Gina nodded, Ashley turned around, walked out of the kitchen, and walked around inside the Condom. She couldn't help but marvel at the size and beauty of the whole area.

She wasn't even halfway through the whole house when she heard her husband's voice.

"Love! Ash! Where are you?" Tanaga shouted with a loud voice, and one could tell he's newly awake.

"I'm here!" She called back.

When Tanaga heard Ashley's voice, he followed where it came from to find her.

"There you are! Good morning Sweetheart! Are you up early? Still jetlag, I'm sure, why don't we have breakfast first." Said Tanaga as he approaches her before giving her a tight embrace and light kiss on her lips.

"Then we would go to the office first and spend half a day there. After that, we could have a nice launch before we go shopping. What do you think?" Tanaga asked while guiding her towards the dining room.

When Ashley heard the word shopping, she got excited and put her arms around his neck before kissing him soundly. "Tsup! tsup! Really! Are we going shopping? Oh 'I'm so excited ... You know my brothers given a list of what they want and... You know!" She confessed embarrassingly.

"When I told them that I was coming to America for work... They all told me what they wanted for Christmas. Hopefully, the mall where we will go has what they are asking for. So we don't have to go anywhere else just to buy their gift." She finished as she sat down on the chair that Tanaga pulled for her.

"Hmmm, I'm sure there's everything at this mall. It's an international mall, after all, I'm sure they would have everything. Just wait, I will take you shopping as if you were Julia and I'm Richard." Tanaga Banters.

"Never mind that! If I remember it correctly, Julia was snubbed while she was shopping. I didn't like it then. I don't think so!" Her brow raised as she pouted her lips.

"Why don't we do this, you stay at work Sato and I will go do the shopping." Offered Ashley with a mischievous grin plastered on her lips.

" Over my dead body! "It's no way in hell I'm working, while both my assistants and secretary were gallivanting in Galleria Mall. What's wrong with you! 

"Don't you know the saying, wherever the boss is, that's where the assistant and the secretary should be! Especially if that assistant is the wife of the boss. Hahaha!" Tanaga chuckles as he teased his wife.
