"You go back inside! Now!" the police officer yelled to President Takashi. He was obviously furious and had completely lost his patience. When President Takashi entered the van, he was roughly close by the police officer. He sat in the front seat of the van so that they could leave promptly.
The limousine driver, who was waiting to drive them back to the hotel, had no idea what to do. He just thought that he should call the company he was working at to tell them what had happened, before deciding to return to the headquarters.
When the dispatcher of the limousine knew what had happened, he was worried and quickly finished the call with the driver. He then rang President Hanada's assistant.
The assistant couldn't believe what he had just heard. Immediately after he hung up the phone, he quickly called the lawyer of the THJ Group so that he could go to their boss in the police station.
That's why, even before the police van reached the station, the lawyer and the assistant were already there to fix anything necessary.
The problem was that the van didn't stop at the front of the precinct and instead proceeded to the back of the station, where they processed those who were arrested onto the blotter.
President Hanada and his companions, who were accidentally involved, were all enraged. When they left the van, to go to the place where they were going to take mugshots, President Hanada retaliated and blurted out words in Japanese.
"I can't understand you! Speak English, not Japanese!" exclaimed the police officer, who was responsible for processing new suspects.
"No English me!" one of the directors, who was accompanying the President, replied.
"What the heck is this! Why am I the one assigned here? What if they are members of Japanese Yakuza? I might get killed!" the officer worriedly muttered to himself. Takashi had heard the officer and thought of a way to scare him.
"Excuse me, sir! Can I talk to you?" Takashi asked gently.
When the police officer heard that Takashi knew how to speak English, his face had brightened up and he looked at him.
"So, you know how to speak English. That's good! Come here and explain to them what we're going to be doing. After that, you can quicken your release – that okay?"
Takashi liked what he heard so he swiftly responded, "Sure! Anything, man!" At once, he stood at the side to become their translator. Just before that, he winked to President Hanada to inform him that he had everything under control.
President Hanada and his directors still adamantly refused to exit the van. No matter how much the police officer convinced them to leave, they still wouldn't budge an inch.
"If you don't move to go down, I will call my colleagues, and you won't like what will happen. You will all be charged for disobeying the authorities. Do you want that?" the police officer warned all of them.
The companion of President Hanada was confused on who to follow – should they support the President or the officer? In the end, they chose to follow the officer and one-by-one, they got out of the car to begin taking their mugshots.
For the first time in their entire lives, they had taken pictures in front of those numbers. Once they had finished, they were all given orange clothes and ordered to change into them.
Each director accepted the clothes, in fear that they would be jailed and not given freedom in America.
After they all had changed, they were brought to a cell and placed there.
"Don't worry! Your lawyer is already here, so your papers can be processed quickly, and you can be released much earlier," said the officer who brought them to the cell.
Meanwhile, President Hanada, who at first refused and stubbornly wanted to leave, got scared when he saw the additional officers; one of them even had a long taser. He just thought it would be better to get out by himself before he got near him.
Within a few moments, he was processed and finished taking his mugshots. After that, he was brought to where his directors were temporarily held.
Soon, when they started verifying their identity, they were called and individually brought to a private room. All of the directors were finished and eventually released after their identities were verified.
The last ones to be called were President Hanada and President Takashi, who both were called simultaneously. President Hanada was surprised because they were called last and at the same time. But when he saw the lawyer of the THJ group, he felt relieved, causing arrogance to resurface onto his face.
He felt that there was no reason for his further detainment in the precinct. The only mistake was that this country's law was slightly different from Japan's; when you go against the code, you can be jailed no matter who you are.
"Mr. Takashi, I'm asking you again… do you want to file a charge against this person since he kicked you a bit before this?" the police officer asked gently.
"Oh, no! I won't, and it's okay for me! It was my fault to begin with… they were here because of me," Takashi explained to the officer.
"I see, then let the people of America file a charge against him for what he did to you. Nobody is allowed to hurt anybody."
It doesn't matter if he is your boss. That doesn't give him the right to hurt you. So even if you don't file a charge, the people of America will file one for you," the officer who witnessed President Hanada's act retorted.
"What do you mean I can't be released!? And why should I wait if the judge will agree for a bai?! I can't understand my case!" President Hanada furiously questioned his lawyer and assistant.
The lawyer of the THJ group described in detail to President Hanada as to why. Before he bid his farewell, he had to arrange the bail of President Hanada so that he wouldn't spend the night in prison.
