Chapter 247 - Dinner With The Gusman

When Mr. Gusman was sure that every one's attention was focus on him, he began his scolding of the night. "Firstly," he was not able to finish what he's going to say when the main door suddenly burst opened and… 

"Surprise!!" Ashley called to everyone with a wide grin on her face.

"Good evening!" Followed by Tanaga, Tiny, and Sato in unison. 

Besides Arthur, the whole family gaped and was left speechless. Especially Mr. Gusman, who was angry a moment ago and now has a smile on his lips and is calmly observing in just a breeze.

"What? Is this the kind of reception I'm receiving from all of you? If you're not excited that I'm here, I'll go ahead go back to Japan!" Ashley said to everyone while pouting. 

When everybody heard her treat that she's going back to Japan, they all come to their senses and run towards her to give her a welcome hug. Except for Arthur and Mr. Gusmam.

Mr. Gusman had to pinch himself to make sure that he was not dreaming. He still couldn't believe that Ashley was in front of them. Tears began to form in his eyes from happiness.

Mrs. Gusman was the first to approach Ashley and hugged her while tears flowed down in her eyes. 

"Mother, I missed you so much!" Said Ashley as she embraces her mother as tight as she could.

"Oh, Daughter! Hahaha! What's this? Why didn't you tell us that you would also be here? Unfortunately, I didn't prepare your favorite foods." Greeted Mrs. Gusman with tears while patting Ashley's back. 

"I also didn't know, Mom. *Huh-huh-huh* It was too late when I found out we're already in the sky," Ashley explained to her mother. 

Arman, Ariel, Arnold, and Arnel were all waiting for their turn. Letting the mother and daughter have their reunion first. 

However, when the two have not let go after a while. The brothers decided to join and hugged their mother and sister.

Meanwhile, Tanaga, Tiny, and Sato were standing by the threshold of the front door and waiting to be invited. 

When Arman realized the situation, he immediately approaches his boss. "Sir Jones, welcome! And thank you so much for bringing our little sister home. Please, sit down. Come and sit right here." Arman ushered them inside like a good employee.

When Mrs. Gusman heard what Arman said, it dawned to her that she has not greeted the guest that came with Ashley.

"Oh! Jesus Christ! I apologize to everyone. We're so rude, please! All of you come inside. Kindly, excuse our humble house. It's small and somewhat messy. Hahaha!" Invited Mrs. Gusman while still holding on to her daughter.

When Sato and Tiny heard Mrs. Gusman, a smile procured on their faces and followed where she was pointing for them to sit.

"Thank you!" Said the two in unison.

"What? Now that you have your mother and brothers, you will not even give this older man a chance to hug his youngest child?" Banter Mr. Gusman to his wife and daughter.

"Daddy! Hahaha!" Said Ashley as she quickly let go of her mother to hug her father next. "Daddy! *Huh-huh-huh* I missed you so much! How are you?" She said while tears of joy flowing down her beautiful face.

"Oh' my princess, I'm so glad that you could be home to celebrate the new year with us. I was worried that you would be alone for the first time in a faraway land, but I don't have to worry about that now. Hahaha!" Mr. Gusman was elated, unable to hold his happiness.

Mrs. Gusman took the opportunity to sneak out to the kitchen and began preparing cold drinks for everyone.

Arnold and Arnel saw what their mother did and quickly followed her to the kitchen to help.

While all this thing was happening, Arma was busy entertaining Tanaga. Meanwhile, Sato and Tiny were unsure where to put all the gifts that they brought with them.

"Ahhh, excuse me! Where can we put these?" Sato asked to no one in particular as he held the bags of gifts he's carrying.

Ashley suddenly remembered all the gifts that she asked Sato to buy for her. It was all the Christmas present for her family.

"Right! I almost forgot about it. Elder brother Ariel, Arnold, Arnel, will you all please, take it. It's for all of you! A present from us!" Ashley shouted, beaming with happiness.

She didn't notice the way her older brothers raised their brows and was glaring at her after listening to what she just said.

Because of her excitement, she didn't realize that she had been saying from us all this time instead of me. Therefore, all her older brothers were curious except for Arthur, of course. He knows everything, and he has a smirk on his face as he looks at everyone's blank face.

Same with Arman, who has a little knowledge about his sister and his boss relationship. What he didn't know was is the kind of relationship they have.

Once the gifts were handed to Ashley's older brothers. Tine informed them that he wanted to take a look outside. When Sato heard it, he quickly followed. They didn't want to be a party pooper for the family reunion. They should step out and let them have fun.

While the boys were busy with their gifts, Ashley decided to go to the kitchen and check her mother's cooking? She left Tanaga in the care of her elder brother Arman and her father.

Ashley wanted Tanaga to be able to get to know her family. Especially her father and elder brother Arman. Another thing was, she doesn't want her husband to be speechless in front of her family. 

"Let him get to know them so that he could know how to associate with my family," Ashley mumbles to herself on the way to the kitchen. 

A moment later, Ashley and Mrs. Gusman, along with Arnel and Arnold, came with a tray full of drinks and sweets. Once they served them, the mother-daughter tandem goes back to the kitchen to prepare for their dinner. 

Tanaga was enjoying his time with Mr. Gusman and Arman. However, the corner of his eyes continues staring towards the kitchen door. He couldn't wait for his wife to call them for dinner. 

Therefore, when Mrs. Gusman said, "What are you all waiting for? Let's eat!" Tanaga immediately stood up and didn't wait to be invited. 

That shocked Mr. Gusman and the Gusman brothers. They all looked at each other with a raised brow and eyes asking each other- what happened?

They all couldn't believe what their eyes were seeing. After a moment, they couldn't hold it any longer, and they began laughing out loud.

"Hahaha! Hahaha!" The laughter was occupying the whole living room area. The Gusman brothers were holding their stomachs.

Tanaga felt embarrassed when he heard his in-laws laughing, but he doesn't care because he's famished. 

"Hahaha! Hahaha!" He just also laughed to inform that he knows that he was the one being laughed at. 

Mr. Gusman approached Tanaga and tapped his shoulder. "I like you, you're funny!" He then ushered Tanaga to the dining room. 

"Come! It's obvious that you're hungry, hahaha!" Banters Mr. Gusman to his un-known son-in-law.
