Chapter 324 - Second Wedding... [2]

Actually, Tanaga didn't lie on the 'regaining memory' part. While he was walking towards the elevator, pieces of his memory were flashing back. That's why he was walking fast, afraid of passing out in the middle of carrying his wife. 

Ashley had no choice but to put her arms on her husband's neck and rest her head on his chest. She clearly heard Tanaga's heart racing as much as her heart was doing. 

When they arrived at the third floor, Tanaga was heading straight to the bathroom when Ashley stopped him. 

"Tan wait! Put me down on the sofa, please?" Ashley asked softly while she couldn't look straight at Tanaga's eyes. 

Tanaga paused and stared at his wife whose head was buried in his chest. "Oh? You don't need to use the restroom now?" Ashley shook her head and didn't speak. 

Instead, Tanaga went to the bed and carefully put her down there. Then he placed the pillows properly and helped Ashley to lie down. 

"Don't move, I'll be back," Tanaga said before leaving. Ashley then heard him call Inday, who was downstairs. 

In a few moments, Tanaga came back with Inday, who was holding a basin with warm water. Inday put it above the nightstand before going to the bathroom to take a face towel. Next, she gave it to Tanaga who just came back from the dressing room. 

"Okay, your ma'am will rest so tell them not to disturb us," Tanaga commanded Inday. She immediately followed while secretly smiling. 

Ashley, who was pretending to sleep, opened up her eyes when she felt that Inday was already gone. She stared at Tanaga who was busy preparing to wipe her and change her clothes into a comfy one.

Tanaga sat beside Ashley and was about to unbutton her clothes. "Tan, stop it! I can do it myself." Then she removed her husband's hand off her chest. 

"I know you can do it. But, just like what I said, let me pamper you and take care of you. Earlier when I was carrying you towards the elevator, I remembered something like I was doing this to you before. Just let me pamper you, okay?"

When Ashley saw Tanaga's worried eyes, she just let him do what he wanted to do. She let him take off her clothes, wipe her body and put comfy clothes on her. 

Tanaga was about to finish changing Ashley's clothes when someone knocked at the door. 

"Sir! Ma'am! This is Ruffy. I've brought some of Sir Jones' belongings," Butler Ruffy shouted from behind the door. 

"Good! Stay still, I'll just get my stuff." Then he stood up to open the door. 

"Where do you want me to put this?" Ruffy asked while looking around the room. 

"It's fine, I can handle it from here. You can go now." Then he took his baggage and took it to their room. After that he closed the door and went back beside Ashley to finish where he left off. 

Ashley was just quiet and staring at what her husband was doing. She still couldn't believe that he's alive and that she was not just dreaming. 

For the past six months 'til the day she discovered that Tanaga was still alive, she dreamt of her husband every night. This was just the thing that helped her survive. 

But now that he was already in front of her alive, she was having second thoughts of marrying him again, and this time not just in the eyes of people but also in the eyes of God. 

Ashley was in deep thought when she felt Tanaga lay beside her and pulled her, putting his arms as a pillow for Ashley's head. "Hmm, how I missed this," Tanaga whispered before kissing her on her temple before closing his eyes. 

Ashley – who was wide awake – unconsciously cried. Her feelings right now were mixed. She didn't know what to think about what Tanaga just said. 

'How I missed this.' 

Because for her, it was his feelings that spoke for him, not his mind. What if he started using his mind over his heart? With all those questions in her mind, she wanted to speak it out. 

"Tan, about us marrying again at a church, can we set it aside for a while until you're really ready on what you really want? It's hard if we annul our marriage at a church, unlike if we don't get married in a church. If by chance we thought of having a divorce, it'd be easier that way…" Ashley mumbled while her heartfelt as though it were being torn into pieces.

Now, she was currently speaking from her heart… 

Meanwhile, Koji had many things to fix in Europe. The hotel was bombed by a terrorist and many people were wounded; some died. Koji was so occupied at how many things he needed to do – that's why he didn't have time to call or even message Ashley. 

After a week, that was just the time he had some free time to call the office in America to know what was happening there, especially to Ashley. 

Sato was the one Koji talked to, and he discovered that Tanaga arrived to help Ashley. Koji was so disappointed, but he couldn't do anything because they are married. 

But when he discovered that Ashley got into an accident and was sent to a hospital, he suddenly changed his mind. He thought that Tanaga was the cause of the accident, so he decided to think of every way he could to steal Ashley from Tanaga. 

He wouldn't accept that the first woman he loved would be gone from his life if he couldn't risk his life. 

Koji started to think of a way to get Ashley. If he couldn't do it in a gentle way, then he would get rough. And if removing Tanaga was in the picture, he would do so just for his love for Ashley. 

While Ashley and Tanaga were peacefully sleeping, little did they know that Koji started his plan while he was still away.
