Ashley and Tanaga accompanied Koji outside until the gate of the house. The cousins shook hands. But when he was about to say goodbye to Ashley, he didn't know what to do.
Ashley noticed this and she was the one who initiated a hug.
"Koji, take care. Don't be shy about visiting here anytime you're here in America," Ashley said before she let go of the hug and went back beside Tanaga.
To not let his blush be obvious, he quickly bowed, "Hai! Sayonara." Then he turned around and went to his car.
While Koji was walking towards his car, he had something buried in his chest. Before he never desired anything from Tanaga's possession, but now, he wanted everything he had.
First, Ashley and the twins. Next, all of his wealth…
When Koji arrived at the hotel he was staying at, he was shocked that there were police waiting for him in the lobby. When the police saw him coming, they approached and surrounded him.
"Excuse me, sir, are you President Koji Hanada of the THJ group?" the leader of the police asked.
Koji didn't answer quickly, and instead, he just stared at the police officers surrounding him. When he was still not answering for a long time, one of the police was about to ask him again when the front desk manager walked towards them and interjected.
"Gentlemen, please talk to President Hanada in a more private place. It's not good for the hotel's reputation as someone might record this scene. I'll guide you to a room where you can talk," the FD manager proclaimed.
Koji didn't hesitate and agreed with the front desk manager's suggestion. He realized the fact that this could not only ruin the image of him but also the company's if someone did record this.
Koji didn't wait for the officers' answers and he followed where the front desk manager was taking them.
The officers didn't have a choice but to follow also. As the FD manager just said, they did not mistreat the person they were arresting because after all, Koji was a VIP. He might file a case to them if that happened. He might even have immunity to being arrested here in America.
The manager brought them to a small meeting room. When the four officers and Koji entered the room, the manager closed the door and went back to work.
The leader of the police didn't beat around the bush. He took out the warrant of arrest for Koji and he spoke the Miranda rights in front of him.
"President Hanada of the THJ group, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent…"
One of the officers took out a handcuff and was about to put it on Koji when he spoke.
"Wait a minute, please. Let me read this warrant of arrest before you drag me out of here." Then he took the warrant of arrest from the hand of the leader before sitting down to read what was inside.
The officers chose to wait for him; they might have a problem if they forced him.
Koji was carefully reading why he was being arrested. When he finished reading it, he just shook his head and chuckled.
"Hahaha, where's your evidence apart from someone telling you that she was r.a.p.ed? Don't tell me this case was filed by Ohani Yamaguchi?" he asked firmly.
The officer was startled when Koji knew who filed a case for him. The officer suddenly got puzzled on what he should do. He didn't answer Koji promptly. Koji noticed that the three other police officers stared at each other and their leader.
"I understand why you're arresting me, and I don't have a problem coming with you at the precinct. But you don't have to handcuff me, and I won't run away. I'm the president of a well-known company that has many branches around your country. I don't wanna see my pictures in the newspapers about being arrested for such false allegations. Okay?" Koji declared to the officers without even blinking.
The officers were in a cold sweat. They knew that Koji was the president of a company, but they didn't expect that it would be that big because the Marine Division there had less than a hundred employees, as per their leader's knowledge.
"And by the way, please spare me another minute, I'll just call my lawyer." Koji didn't wait for any answers from them. He quickly took out his phone and dialed the lawyer of the THJ group, who also had a branch office here in Houston.
In just one ring someone answered it immediately. "Hello, President Hanada. Anything I can do for you?" the other line said. Koji didn't hesitate and answered it.
"I need a legal team right now. I will be sent to the precinct for questions and I don't want to stay there longer than necessary," Koji declared directly.
"Yes sir! We'll be right over there; shall we wait for you at the station or go where you are right now to accompany you there?" the speaker asked Koji.
"No need, I have no issue riding a police car to go there. That would be even an experience for me!" Koji chuckled after he joked.
After Koji talked to whoever was on the line, he altered his attention back to the officers waiting for him. "Let's go – I need to get this over. I must fly back to Japan as soon as this is over." Then he stood up and walked out of the door before the police officers.

In a few moments, they arrived at the precinct and he was brought to the processing center. When Koji saw this, his forehead creased.
"I already told you that I will not be processed like a criminal. I'm not going there to be blotter and have my picture taken and plastered all around the world wide web. I'm being nice as it is and not bothering important people. I'm letting my lawyer handle everything. If you do not take me back to the front, I'm not going out of this car until my lawyer finishes the paperwork," Koji arrogantly proclaimed. It was the biggest mistake he could make.
Because of how Koji spoke, the leader of the police got irritated and immediately got out of the car before opening the back door where Koji was seated.
"I have had enough of your airy Japanese ass! I don't care who you are and what you can do... You are criminal until proven innocent. Now get out!" the leader shouted before pulling Koji outside the car, ready to handcuff him.
