Chapter 344 - The Best Night Ever...

When the music started playing, Tanaga breathed deeply. He then looked at his wife before smiling sweetly only for Ashley... And... He began singing his heart out.

Tanaga offered his hand to Ashley, just like the song. Ashley accepted it, stood up, and let her husband hug her while he's singing. 

Take my whole life too...

For, I can't help falling in love with you... 

Then he kissed his wife after he finished the song in front of everybody. 

"Bravo! Bro, you are something. Idol!" Arnel shouted while also clapping his hands. 

Ann and Lea were so impressed at the couple, Ann couldn't stop herself envying the two. Her devilish husband suddenly popped in her mind who left without notice. 

"Ohhh, so sweet. Good thing you sang first before us, if not we might really fall for you. Hahaha!" Lea jokes

'When could I find someone like him?' she sighed because of her thought. 

"Hahaha!" Tanaga laughed, it's Ashley's wish though. The four suddenly looked at them. 

Ashley swiftly took the mic away from Tanaga. Knowing her husband and their deal, he might sing again and that would be two. Who knows how many more he plans on singing before the night is over. She will be in trouble if that happens.

"Next, it's Lea's turn to sing for us. Once she's done then it's my turn and of course, Ann would be the last one for this round. Is that alright with everyone?" Ashley asked everyone. 

Lea was about to reject because she knows herself how beautiful Ann's voice is. Then she doesn't know if Ashley's voice was also good. When she was about to reject, she thought that it'd be better if she would sing before Ann so that it wouldn't be more embarrassing. 

"Sure!" Lea answered then she took the microphone. 

Lea also has a good voice, Arnold and Arnel were impressed by that. They even clapped in a deafening tone after Lea finished. 

"It feels like we're at a concert." Arnold chuckled after he said those words. 

"What kind of brother you are, you don't have loyalty! My wife is for sure the one that has the best voice here. Right sweetie?" Tanaga interjected. He has drunk a lot of glass now, so his tongue was getting sharp. 

"Hey, shut it! How do you know that I know how to sing?" Ashley asked with wide eyes. "I apologize for my husband, he's getting windy, hehe!" Ashley said to Lea and Ann. She doesn't want them to think Tanaga was full of himself. 

Ann just smiled." It's fine. Who's gonna be your number 1 one fan if it's not your other half? Hahaha!" 

It was Ashley's turn to sing, but she thought of having a duet with Ann. So she asked Ann," Ann, if you don't mind, can we do a duet?" Ashley asked, smiling. 

Ann didn't hesitate and stood up." Sure! What song are we gonna sing? "

"I have a favorite classic song, it is 'Tell Him' it is also a duet actually. I'm Barbara, yours is Celine, what do you think?" Ashley asked. 

"It's fine! That's my favorite singer, so, game!" 

Ashley was delighted to hear it and she quickly put the number of the song and prepared to sing. 

'Even if Ann/Ashley doesn't know how to sing, I'll carry this.' The thought that's going around Ashley and Ann's mind. 

The song started on playing, Ann sings first. Everyone was holding their breath and focused on listening. And started singing as the lyrics on the screen started rolling. 

~~I'm scared, 

So afraid to show I care.

Will, he think me weak, 

If I tremble when I speak?~~

Everybody gaped even Tanaga and looked at the two duets. His face was serious and he was listening intently. He suddenly thought of his friend Jeff. If only he was not married yet, he would have introduced Ann to him. [Unbecknown to him that Ann and Jeff's wife is the same woman.]

Ashley sings next, 

~~I've been there

With my heart out in my hand

But what you must understand

You can't let the chance

To love him pass you by~~

Ann smiled upon hearing Ashley's voice. 

'She has a voice' 

Ann got motivated to sing. 

This time, they're gonna sing in chorus. 

~~Tell him

Tell him that the sun and moon

Rise in his eyes

Reach out to him~~

When the two synchronized, everyone did a standing ovation and applauded their hands for they're so good. Tanaga was the one who clapped the loudest. 

After Ann and Ashley finished, they hugged each other and laughed loudly. 

"Gosh, you're so good, thank you and you gave me a chance," Ashley said to Ann. 

"You're also good. I was surprised that you didn't choose to sing. If you. Want to pursue it, call me and I'll help you." Ann offered to Ashley, Ashley's cheeks reddened because of the compliment. 

Tanaga interfered with their talk. He faked a cough, "Thanks for your offer Ann, but I won't allow my wife to enter the entertainment industry. She might get many pursuers. Another thing is the THJ group has an entertainment company that is open for her anytime." Tanaga boasted. 

Ann was embarrassed because of that," I forgot. Sorry CEO Jones. " Then she came back from her seat and took his drink before smiling a bit at them. 

Ashley didn't like it so she quickly sat beside her husband and pinched him secretly at his flank." You! She was just offering a hand then you're embarrassing her?" Ashley whispered while her forehead was creased. 

When Tanaga heard it, he thought that she was right. So she won't get mad at him, "Ann, I apologize if what I said earlier doesn't sound good to you. You know, I'm just overprotective towards her and I don't want her to get stolen by anyone." Tanaga explained

Ann's face lit up upon hearing that and smiled." It's fine, I understand. Ashley was really lucky, also you, both of you really meant for each other. I wish you happiness ever after for as long as you live." 

When she saw that everything was settled, she raised her glass of drink. 

"Cheers! To all of us! To a new friendship that may last forever!"

They all raised their glasses and did the cheers. 

The six happily continued on singing. It was already midnight when Lea and Ann decided to leave. The two men offered to walk them to their house. They just walk because they're already tipsy. They didn't reject the gentlemen's offer and they feel at ease with them. 

On the other hand, the couple was already in their room. Tanaga was so excited because he sang more than ten earlier. Therefore, it will be a very...very...very long night.
