Chapter 376 - That Darn... Contract Again!

While everyone was having a fantastic night, Tanaga's phone rung. His private doctor went to Europe to speak to the specialist who had invented a serum. Tanaga excused himself to talk to him in private. 

"Speak, make sure it's a piece of good news, or don't even bother informing me." He growled as he answered the call.

"Good evening, CEO Jones. And yes, it's a piece of good news." Said his private doctor. A laugh could be heard from the other side.

Tanaga's doctor was able to talk to Dr. Garcia about the type of serum that Tanaga would use and find out if it'd help him recover. He had a lengthy conversation about Dr. Garcia's progress in the last couple of years. The only drawback at the moment as he's running out of funds to continue with this project, and it's costly.

Therefore, when Tanaga's private doctor informed him of his intention and promised that his clients would fund his project, Dr. Garcia was more than glad to meet them. An appointment was made for Tanaga and Ashley immediately, and they were told that they needed to arrive as soon as possible. 

After hearing the piece of good news, Tanaga couldn't wait to finish their conversation so he could tell everyone. 

"Alright! We will be there at the appointed time. Till we meet again, goodbye, doctor." He then rushed to go back out in the living room and share the excellent news with his family.

The couple didn't want to waste any more time and said goodbye to their family before they went to bed so that they could leave early. They plan to stop by and visit Grandma Hanada before to set for Europe. They also wanted to inform her of the good news and see how she's doing? 

Fely and Jessie preached to the couple that no matter where they were and what they were doing, that they wouldn't forget to call and inform the family that they were okay. 

Ashley and Tanaga promised to do it. Only then did the couple calmed down significantly.

"All right, children, be careful, and don't worry about anything, the children are in safe hands," Fely said while hugging the two.

Jessie said the same thing, before kissing his daughter and then patting Tanaga on the back before they said goodbye so that the couple could rest.

Before the two went to sleep, they first went to the twins' room and were taken to their room so that they could spend some time with their children. It was late at night when the couple returned the twins to their room. The two nannies were already fast asleep. 

Fortunately, the twins were asleep, so the two parents didn't have to worry that they'd wake up the two nannies. They carefully laid them down to their cribs.

Ashley left a note for Inday and Juanita so that they would not be surprised when one of the children awoke and cried. She posts it right by the babies' cribs so they could see it right away.

Tanaga then gave both of his children a sweet kiss on the forehead before returning to their room. Ashely grabs Tanaga's arms and lays her head while they are walking and talking.

"Look what we've been through. Who would have thought that this was nothing but a contract? We already have twins, and next year, maybe there will be more. If we are to write a book, we could use a title like... 'Love's begin with the contract.' Hahaha! What do you think of that?" Tanaga joked while caressing his wife's cheek.

Tanaga did not notice that Ashley's face suddenly turned sour when she heard about the contract. Her feelings were quite hurt. She couldn't believe that up to now, Tanaga still thinks their marriage was nothing but a contract. Why then would he talk about a second wedding? She's lost and overly tired to care. She would think about it another time.

So when they came to their room, Tanaga was surprised when his wife turned her back on him and closed her eyes, avoiding his gaze. She went to the bathroom and shut the door. She stayed there for a moment to compose herself. When she started to feel better, she went back out to the bedroom and lay down beside her husband.

Just as they were about to sleep, Ashley whispered, "Tan, we will wake up early tomorrow. Right?" Ashley said as she turned off the light on her side.

Tanaga nodded and turned off the light on his side before returning to face his wife and hugged her from behind.

They woke up early and left without saying goodbye to anyone since they already did in advance. Tiny was already awake and went with the four bodyguards and brought the couple to the airport and didn't leave and rest easy until Tanaga's private jet had taken off and flown. 

When Tiny saw that the jet was about to take off, "I wish you the best of luck to you, Mrs. and Mr. Jones. I hope you return with a successful goal," Tiny whispered to no one in particular.

Grandma Hanada was overjoyed when the couple arrived. He thought Tanaga would stay there, so the older woman was very happy. But when she found out that the couple had just passed by and were leaving for Europe, she was quite saddened.

"Don't forget your dear old grandma! When I feel better, and I can get discharged, I will pick up Jessie and Fely. I don't want to stay here long away from my great-grandchildren. You never know, maybe tomorrow. I will no longer be in this world. I want to spend as much time with them as possible," Grandmother Hanada sadly told the two, reminding the both of them to return as soon as possible.

"Grandma, please don't say that. I guess you forgot that Tan and I would get married again, which will happen after returning from Europe. I'm delighted that his memories are back, and I hope you can watch the wedding too," Ashley said as she warmly smiled, making the old woman extremely happy. 

He was not mistaken because when grandma Hanada heard this, her grin widened, "Is what you're saying true? He does?" Grandma Hanada looked at Tanaga at the same time and brought her grandson closer while her two arms were ready to hug Tanaga.

Tanaga came over and hugged his grandmother, "It's true grandma, I remember everything. So as soon as we get back from Europe, we'll get married again. So get well soon and prepare for our wedding." Tanaga said as he hugged it tightly.

"Thank you, I feel like I can finally rest in peace after I see you two get married again," Granny Hanada whispered to Tanaga.

Tanaga suddenly let go when you hugged your grandmother and kissed her forehead. "Grandma! Don't say such things!" Tanaga exclaimed while standing in front of the grandmother and pretending to be mad.

"My dear grandson, it's just a figure of speech. I have no intention of disappearing from this world right away. I still want to see my grandchildren grow up," Grandmother Hanada said happily.

The couple also laughed at the same time because Ashley knew that Tanaga was just joking and also because she fully understood what her grandmother-in-law meant.

An hour later, the couple said their goodbyes so they could leave, and now, they were on their flight to the Spaniard Kingdom, where the specialist Dr. Garcia was already waiting for them.

They arrived at the facility at lunchtime the next day. They had a short visit with the older woman before wishing her well, and the couple headed to Europe.

They arrived at the Spaniard kingdom in no time. A car was already waiting for them to take them to Dr. Garcia's home. Tanaga was anxious to hear what Dr. Garcia had to say and how the treatments would go. 

On the other hand, Ashley was skeptical about the treatment but was willing to try anything as long as her husband didn't have to undergo any further surgery.

Tanaga's Doctor was already at Dr. Garcia's home and having tea when they arrived. 

"Welcome!" Greeted Tanaga's private doctor as he approached them.

"Thank you!" Said the couple in unison while Ashley's eyes were on the woman next to the other man. From where they sat, Ashley could see that she was Asian, and so was the man. 

It got her curious as to which country they were from?

When the other man and the woman approached them and greeted them, Ashley couldn't hold her tongue and asked. "Excuse me? Are you by chance from the Philippines?"

Dr. Garcia looked at the woman then looked at Ashley. But he never did respond if they were from the Philippines.
