Leon was suspended within the darkness of the Nexus Being's Domain. In his perception, weeks had gone by, but he had learned not to put too much stock in what he perceived. Within the Nexus Being's Domain, time and space was irrelevant. A year could pass within while only a day had passed on the outside.
Leon was here for just one reason. He wanted to exploit the time dilation within the Domain to digest the remnant energy and essence of all the Gods that he had killed and absorbed. At this time, he had been able to absorb roughly half of all the energy and could feel himself reaching the limit of what a Major God could handle.
"Time draws near, Leon Cromwell. I was able to banish Izeal to the far reaches of this universe, but the travel speed of a True God is nothing to laugh at. He will arrive at Datar once again in two days."
The voice of the Nexus Being boomed through the Domain. A red light manifested a short distance away from Leon as the latter was drawn out of his meditative state. A purple light flashed within the skull of the Obsidian Skeleton that was suspended in a cross legged position within the vast Domain.
"Indeed, I was right. You have made much greater strides toward the True God stage than anyone would expect. However, you have reached a bottleneck." The Nexus Being said.
"I need more time to reach the True God stage. It just isn't possible for me to get there in just a few days. If I were to do this normally, then it would take years, even with help." Leon shook his head as the intense aura around him began to die down.
"That is acceptable. We will have to work with what we can get. There is nothing more we can do." The Nexus Being was resigned. "Come now, it is time to meet the other True Gods that have gathered to defend Datar."
Together, Leon and the Nexus Being exited the darkness of the Nexus Being's pocket space and emerged within the center of Leon's God Kingdom.
As soon as Leon emerged from the pocket space, he could sense the energy signatures of five powerful beings. They were obviously the signatures of five True Gods, with one of them being slightly familiar to Leon. It was the True God of Truth, the Dragon God, Vesper.
Vesper moved on after the two had shared their greetings. He gestured to the one that had spoken first when he had entered to room earlier.
"This is Nidus, True God of Infestations." Vesper said and Leon turned to look at the Dragon God that had taken on a similarly humanoid form. However, instead of scales, his exterior seemed to be made of writhing, wriggling flesh that was somewhat off-putting. However, to Leon, it was something that could be dismissed.
"I prefer to be known as a God of Nurseries." Nidus grunted.
"Nursing infestations, yes." Vesper chortled and Nidus grunted but did not say anything more. The Dragon God of Truth moved on to the non-Dragon True Gods that were present.
"Percival, the True God of Knights. He was the one who sought me out and asked to assist in our efforts to preserve Datar. He is a chivalrous being." Vesper nodded at the True God that was clad in brightly shining silver armor. A pair of small metal wings were placed on the top of the helmet that obscured the True God's face, but two pale blue lights could be seen peering out of the visor.
"I thank you for your aid, Your Excellency, Percival." Leon bowed his head slightly. He was touched that Percival had actively sought out Vesper to join in the fight.
"And last but not least, Royegar, the Shining Monk." Vesper gestured at the most human figure in the room. The last True God exuded a noble and holy aura that seemed to be too pure for this world.
"Greetings, friend Leon. Let us face this calamity together and emerge victorious." Royegar said and made a gesture with his hands.
"Of course, I thank you for helping us." Leon bowed slightly in thanks.
"Now that we all know each other. Let us move on to more urgent matters." The Nexus Being finally spoke up as its red body manifested in the middle of the room.
