Chapter 132 - 132 Spectacle In The Street

"Are you sure you don't want to ride with us?" October asked as she looked at Ma Rong with questioning eyes.

"My wife, you don't-" Lexus started, sounding a little impatient, but was then stopped by October's hand gesture.

With his hand shoved in his dress pants and the other hanging on his side, Ma Rong looked at Lexus' "pouting" face and smirked gloatingly at this. Lexus saw this which made him scowl at him openly.

'Yeah! Don't butt in with my and Berry's conversation.' Ma Rong thought before turning to October to answer. What made it more amusing and just utterly interesting was how October can easily control a very demon-like existence like Lexus.

"Mhm. I'm good. I ate a lot and am planning to stroll around to digest my food. Also, this will help me familiarize myself with the area since I haven't been here for years and a lot has changed." And I don't want to impose on you guys any longer.

Ma Rong smiled widely as he looked at the calm eyes of October that was gazing silently at him. It was clean and without any smear of malice. He was again reminded that October was a very calm yet cold person with a kind heart.

October silently observed Ma Rong but could not discern much on his well-hidden emotions. She sighed in her heart and nodded her head slowly in understanding. Looking down on her watch, she slightly frowned when it was already 1:27 PM.

"Okay. Just call me if you need anything." October paused for a moment. "Call me if got yourself lost."

Letting out a low snort, Ma Rong looked at October with a complicated look, "What? Do you think I am some little kid? Besides, look at me now? I am a very good-looking man."

"What do you mean by that?" October's eyes looked at Ma Rong with a very blank face. "No, nevermind. Well then, we will be going back to work now."

Ma Rong looked at the distancing car from the Blossom restaurant. After some time have passed, a girl walked toward him with sparkling eyes and slightly pink cheeks. Noticing this, Ma Rong looked at the girl kindly, "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Ah..!" The girl hesitated for a moment before glancing at Ma Rong shyly. "C-can I take a photo with you? I've always been a fan yours. You look even more handsome in person!"

Ma Rong stiffened for a moment before giving the girl a wide and sweet smile. Touching his smooth chin, he looked thoughtful before answering, "Of course. To be looked up to by a pretty lady like you is my honor. However, what would I get in return?"

The girl looked at the dazzling man before her with wide eyes, looking so surprised. Seeing this, a flash of emotion passed from Ma Rong's eyes so fast that the girl was not able to notice it. Ma Rong then chuckled and said, "I was just kidding."

After taking a photo with Ma Rong, the girl then happily went off with a big grin on her blushing face. She was so happy as she reviewed the photo on her phone that she was not able to see the smile on Ma Rong to vanish and what remained was an empty and almost dead expression.

Ma Rong blinked his eyes rapidly as if waking up from his daze. He scratched the back of his head before starting to walk in a random direction. There was no carefree smile on his face and he gave off the aura of emptiness.

He paused on the street, with his hands tucked in his pants, before looking at the bright sky with squinted eyes. The cars' zoomed through the busy main road and the bustling and shuffling of people walking in the street and passing by him. It was as if he was drowning himself in the noise in his surroundings.

Suddenly, a man bumped into Ma Rong, making both to stagger. The man was a bit burly and so Ma Rong was the one that got to step back a few times and bumped to another person then the tie of his hair to get caught in one of the passerby's hairpin and it snapped. His hair instantly flowed down in disarray.

Ma Rong quickly apologized to the lady he bumped into. He realized that he made a blunder of himself.

The man wore a deep scowl on his face and looked at Ma Rong with a ferocious gaze and hissed in anger and started to berate him, "You f*cking bastard! What are you spacing out and standing in the middle of the street? Are you a retard? Huh?"

"Sorry." Ma Rong immediately apologized with his head slightly bowed and his hair to cover most of his face.

"Hmph! Now you are apologizing half-heartedly. Don't think that I would just let go of this so easily. You look descent enough yet a complete fool. Did you perhaps forgot to take your meds? Huh? You crazy person!" The man spat loudly and cursed at Ma Rong.

Some passersby only looked at them while some stopped and openly watched this "spectacle" happening in the street. They then started to whisper to other people and pointing fingers at them. When the man noticed this, a glint of wicked delight flashed across his eyes. At this moment, he was finding it really fun berating the brat in front of him as his the small discussions surrounding him was giving him a boost of energy to continue to scold Ma Rong.

Ma Rong's face that was currently covered with his hair turned livid. His carefree and outgoing personality was nowhere to be found and was now replaced with bubbling anger that was on the verge of bursting. He can feel the veins on his head popping and his knuckles to crack.

"What? Now you can't say anything? Did you perhaps become mute now? Or did you become deaf instead? You should have not even stepped out of your house if all you do is make trouble in the street. Did your parents not educate you?" The man then clicked his tongue. He then started to poke Ma Rong's shoulders with his finger. "They should have put a leash on you. Hmph! Just a dog dirtying the stre-"

A resounding smack was heard followed by a loud thud. The crowd encircling the man and Ma Rong then started to inch back in fear and some instantly fled away. However, now there were another person who stepped into the circle who stood between Ma Rong and the man.

"Yo-You! Bastard! You dare hit me?!" The man gnashed his teeth at the man standing before him while pointing a finger at him.
