Chapter 138 - 138 Their Ending

October then looked at the other members and asked them to look at her. However, they did not do so. Frowning slightly, he coldly said again, this time, it was more cold and filled with heavy pressure, "Look at me!"

Flinching, the rest of the members reluctantly turned their heads toward October but could not dare to look straight in her eyes. It was fortunate that October did not mind at. For her, as long as they turned to her, it was fine. With that, she can clearly see their reactions.

"Do you know what was written on the report?" October asked in no one in particular.

"Of course they did." Su Ki confidently replied to all of them. However, he shut his mouth the instant he received the empty and calm eyes of October. There were no emotions from her eyes, yet when it locked with his, he can feel his scalp turn numb and his core shivered.

"I did not give you permission to speak." After saying that, she turned her attention back on the four remaining members. In this five-member group, two were guys and three girls. "I'll ask you again because you all seemed to be deaf. Did you read the content of your report?"

All pursed their lips, including Lily.

'Read the report? Of course! Since I was the one who made it.' Lily thought as she acted nervous and innocent.

Finally, a timid-looking guy sitting next to Lily lifted his head and opened and closed his mouth, as if he wanted to something but was not sure where he would start.

Noticing this, October turned to him and nodded coolly, "Yes?"

"I hope you would not get too angry at us, Director." He said with a worried look on his face. His body was even shaking profusely and his eyes kept on wandering around the room, not resting at all on October.

"Depends you what you will say." October replied, still calm, collected, and clear-headed. She waited to the man to continue what he was trying to say.

The man pursed his lips then give Su Ki and Lily a look. At this, for a short moment, a glint of determination flashed his eyes as he looked at October, "We did not read it, Director. In fact, we were not even sure what was inside the report."

Hearing this, October frowned. The man then immediately followed to explain.

"Director, I know that such a thing in unforgiveable. However, we really don't know what's its content or what was the result from the survey. In fact, we did not even know that the survey had already finished for we still had to send it to our chosen clients. Also, the clothes...we did not receive any. That is why, director, I still have to read the report. In fact, I just received it this morning, much to my surprise." The timid man said with shay voice. He was clearly nervous and his face was covered with sweat. However, his eyes were firm and clear.

"Hm." October nodded as she contemplated something in her mind before turning to the other two sitting opposite of Lily and the timid guy. "And you two?"

"I am the same, director."

"Me too, director. Having been notified that you will have a survey discussion with us first thing in the morning was big news for me, for us!"

October then turned to Su Ki and Lily and her brow arched elegantly. She then calmly stood up from her chair and walked up only to stand beside Su Ki, who was looking at her warrily. As she did so, all eyes were on her, however she did not feel unfomcortable from it and still remained cool and aloof.

"Mister Su Ki, sit down, if you please." October said coldly. Her eyes then rested on Su Ki, making him flinch for a moment before slowly and reluctantly sitting next to Lily.

"This was worse than I had initially thought." October said first. "Despite some of you having no knowledge of this, you are still accountable to this. 'Ignorance is different from innocence.' I believe you all had heard this before and can differentiate these two."

October swept a glance on them and all but two individuals had on a bitter look. They felt guilty from this. They knew that something was wrong yet never bothered to question it. And the result was this. They were never innocent.

"First, no cooperation, no communication, no professionalism. Well, that's that." October started and crossed her arms over her chest and again, a heavy pressure hovered over the people in the room making them nervous and on edge.

"The report was good. That is, if it was not false. Laughable, really. Then there was that almost perfect feedback from clients. Just that, there were never surveys done that had all of the respondent's name."

Seeing that some were nodding their head, October continued, "Yu Ying, Ling Ying Yu. Ouyang Wei, Yang Wei Wei. Ye Xiao, Xiao Ye. Well, talk about terrible naming sense. Such an obvious mistake. Coincedence? You would say that if it were few. But having more than half of it being almost the same, then is that considered coincedence still? Now, after that, some of you did not receive the dresses for the survey then where are the dresses that was released by the company? And the budget for miscellaneous expenses, did all of you receive it?"

Three heads shook. The three then seemed to have realized something and soon looked at the two people who were silent this whole time.

'So what is this? What does this mean? Did they just got themselves into some real trouble?'

It has already come to this and the only thing they can do was bitterly swallow their anger, bitterness, and hatred at the scheming couple.

"Since I have already said this much, I'm pretty sure that there is no need for me to explain more. It does not take a great mind to realize things, unless one is just too stupid to realize this." October then turned to Lily and Su Ki and said with a calm tone laced with contempt, "This was so easy. You could have done better to get things more interesting. So simple and boring. Also, Mr Su Ki, I got this position because I earned it myself after working starting from the bottom of the ladder,..."... unlike you wh got your position after using your family background and connections.

Lily's eyes flashed a cold and vicious light as she glared openly at October, which was of course completely ignored. Su Ki, on the other hand, was gaping his mouth like a dead fish.

October gave them a final look before exiting the meeting room, "This will be handled by with company. What happens next is up to the higher ups."

After that, October's figure swiftly left the room, followed by Yun Xixi who only gave them a look full of scorn. Silence then instantly descended in the meeting room. Three pairs of eyes looked angrily at Lily and Su Ki. In their entire lives, after their bitter struggles in life and school they had finally landed in this good-paying job that can greatly helped their families, they regretted not being to vigilant with their work.
