Chapter - 189
"Your Princess?"
'Is she his daughter? But he does not look old enough. Step-daughter?'
"D... Daughter?" Jessica hesitatingly asked, trying to confirm her doubt. When did it happen?
"Well, more or less like a daughter," Alex beckoned, "I really wish I had a daughter like Annie. Cuteness overloaded. Don't you want this cute bundle of joy as your daughter?" Alex asked Jessica in return.
"So you consider her as your daughter?" Jessica finally had a breath of relief, "She indeed makes you want to have a daughter like her."
"But she is the only lucky one," Alex turned his face towards Claire and introduced her to Jessica, "This is Doctor Claire, Annie's mother."
"Hello, I am Jessica, Alex's partner," Jessica introduced herself.
"Business partner," Alex hurriedly corrected Jessica as the two ladies shook hands.
"Who wants to be anything else with you?" Jessica quickly berated Alex, 'What? Am I an embarrassment that he wants to clarify even that?' While Jessica looked cool on the outside, her insides twisted in anger, 'Or maybe these two... That's not possible, right? She has a daughter.'
But when she thought about how happy Alex looked with Annie in his arms, Jessica could not brush away the possibility.
"I am just a doctor who treated him a couple of times," Jessica smiled as she listened to the two of them bicker and introduced herself.
"Is he ill?" Suddenly the anger was gone, and Jessica was worried.
"Nothing like that," Claire shook her hands and denied, "He was in an accident both the times. Although I am happy that he was there the second time, but apparently, it was all because he worked for an arrogant, narcissistic, sadistic boss."
"Sad... Narcissist boss?" Jessica had her eyes wide open in shock when she heard Claire and looked at Alex, "Was your boss really the Hitler type?" Jessica's eyes were shooting beams as she asked Alex.
"Is this what a parent should be telling his own son?" Damien scorned, "It is clear you are favouring one son over the other. That's partiality. It's discrimination."
"As long as it is not gender discrimination. I don't want you to crush you under patriarchy," George smirked, "You know I am a feminist, don't you? Hehehe..."
"Mom... Look at your husband," defeated, Damien could only turn towards his mother for help.
"You know, being a woman, I should be against this," Martha ignored Damien, "But somehow, as a mother, I am looking forward to it even more."
"What?"

"He must really love your daughter," Jessica commented as she watched Alex walk away with Annie in his arms.
"That he does," Claire nodded. Her face was full of smiles as she watched Alex, "I owe him a lot for what he has done for me and my daughter."
"What happened?" Jessica asked, but Claire just shook her head.
"It's a long story," Claire said. She then looked with a bit of concern towards Jessica, "But if I may say."
"Yes..."
"I don't know much about your job. But looking at your complexion, I feel even your boss is not a piece of good news. If you ask me, you should take a break and get away from them as soon as possible." Claire said and leaned a little towards Jessica.
"Such bosses are nothing but pieces of shit. They don't deserve you working so hard."
"SMASH!"
