After the photoshoot was the banquet. The event finished at around 10pm, and finally, Liang Yan entered the nanny car to return to the hotel. She told Jiang Mu to brief her on her next schedule.

Jiang Mu opened her schedule on his iPad. “The variety show Brave Man’s Challenge will begin filming in a week’s time. It will be in B City for two days.”

“Oh…” Liang Yan nodded. She thought this must be a new variety show as this wasn’t in her memory.

Liang Yan was in a good mood.

When she was still an 18th-tier actress, she wasn’t able to do variety shows. But as an actress, she wanted to act, so she asked Jiang Mu, “And then what? After the variety show, when will I join the next production crew?”

Jiang closed the schedule with some embarrassment. “Uh… well… there’s… nothing…”

Ling Yan was confused. “Nothing? What do you mean?”

Jiang Mu’s expression was sincered as he stared at Liang Yan, who lost her memory of the past three years and had been happy for the promotion from an 18th-tier to 3rd-tier actress in the past few days.

Although he didn’t want to say it, he needed to tell her the harsh reality. “Nothing means…. Ummm… It means that Brave Man’s Challenge is your only job for the next three months.”

When she heard him, Liang Yan laughed and went over to him to check the itinerary. “Stop kidding. When am I going to start working on my next drama?”

Jiang Mu had no choice and could only give the iPad to Liang Yan. She took it, read through the schedule for the next three months, and found that the only schedule was the variety show a week later.

“Holy Shit.” Liang Yan frowned as she looked at her almost empty itinerary with disbelief. “Jiang Mu, are you playing a prank on me?”

His heart ached as he gazed at Liang Yan. “Of course, I didn’t prank or lie to you.”

“This isn’t as good as three years ago!” Liang Yan threw the iPad at Jiang Mu.”Three years ago, I acted as soy sauce, but at least I always had scenes to shoot. Now, how come there’s nothing to film?”

Liang Yan emotionally grabbed Jiang Mu’s collar and asked, “Jiang Mu, tell me the truth, has anyone blocked me in the past two years?”

“No…” Jiang Mu extricated his collar out of Liang Yan’s hands, stared at her, then whispered, “It’s just that most people don’t want to work with you at all…”

“Why? Why is no one hiring me? Aren’t I already a 3rd tier actress?” Liang Yan’s excitement faded as she shrank in the carseat. A heavy aura of loss and sadness enveloped her.

Jiang Mu gazed at Liang Yang, who lost her memory of the past three years of her life, and was at a loss about the current situation. He pursed his lips. “Don’t be sad.”

“Mmm…” Liang Yan hung her head.

Liang Yan’s promotion from an 18th-tier to 3rd tier actress wasn’t because she had acted in a famous drama or TV production but purely because of Lu Lincheng. Two years ago, Lu Lincheng, who wasn’t active on Weibo, suddenly sent out a post announcing his marriage, and mentioned @ Liang Yan, his wife. She was only a little 18th-tier actress.

The effect of the news was like a nuclear bomb in the entertainment industry at that time. No one thought that Lu Lincheng, who just made a splash at the time in the entertainment industry for a short time and considered to be at the height of his career, would get married, and the woman was an unheard of 18th-tier actress.

The news exploded so much that Weibo was shut down, forcing the programmer to work overnight. This news also brought Liang Yan to the limelight, raising her from an 18th-tier to a 3rd-tier actress in an instant.

As the wife of Lu Lincheng, this identity was a boon. It wouldn’t be difficult for her to mix around the 2nd-tier and 1st-tier actresses as long as she had projects. But she only stayed in the 3rd-tier throughout these years because, apart from announcing their marriage, Lu Lincheng had no interactions with her since then.

No Weibo interactions, no couple activities, and even the usual interviews revealed nothing. Lu Lingchen’s agency would communicate with the journalists in advance so that they wouldn’t mention her in the interview.

Some fans even discovered that Liang Yan didn’t follow Lu Lingchen’s Weibo account. This marriage was as good as not getting married.

Because of this, the whole entertainment industry began to wait for Lu Lingchen’s divorce, hoping that they would forget that Lu Lincheng was married. Perhaps the wedding announcement on Weibo was a mistake because his hands were shaking and pressed the wrong button. In order for the public to forget his marriage, Liang Yan, as his wife, shouldn’t appear before the eyes of the masses.

After the announcement of their marriage, Liang Yan received offers for two leading roles. The producers were hoping to use Lu Lincheng’s popularity to boost the show, but instead, the drama was boycotted by a large number of fans as soon as it aired. Then, they received a tidal wave of bad reviews. It was a no-brainer. The investors gradually realized that no one wanted to see Lu Lincheng’s wife based on his popularity. Who wanted to see his wife add traffic on the show? No one.

The offers for Liang Yan slowed, and even the web drama ancient fantasy series that just finished only chose her because the female lead ran away, and the producers couldn’t just have all newcomers, so they hired Liang Yan on a temporary basis to make up the numbers.

As for the variety show a week later, she was only invited because the program needed traffic. Liang Yan, who was Lu Lincheng’s wife, was enough to drive traffic for the first day because the fans would definitely bash her. She would only be a guest for the first episode and wouldn’t be around for the next episodes after attracting enough attention.
