Fourteenth Day Without Divorce — Message in a Bottle (2)

Everything in the picture, from Liang Yan to Xu Jiafan was featured. Xu Jiafan was a newcomer in the industry, and the agency wanted him to participate in the program to develop his acting skills and become more familiar in the public eye.

In contrast to the big close-ups of Liang Yan, the cameraman didn’t emphasize Xu Jiafan’s close up. Instead, he focused on the teenager’s open uniform, the empty exercise book on the table, his crossed legs, and actions of turning the pen while his dark eyes fixated on the figure of the girl at the front table who was seriously answering the problem. His lips hooked up in a smile.

As soon as this scene appeared, the barrage asked who Xu Jiafan was. It exploded!

[Shit, so handsome!]

[That smile… Mom, I’m in love… ooohhh…]

[Is this the type of schoolboy who fights every day after school and turns in blank papers in class? This is good!]

[Where did this show dig up the newcomers?  Awesome!]

The male stars in the industry had their own persona. Compared to Lu Lincheng’s aloof and noble temperament, Xu Jiafan was full of youthful air. It was really refreshing.

After the two shots, Liang Yan turned off the live comments.

This was also the first time she watched the episode after the program crew edited it. The reason for watching it just today was to keep tabs on her acting performance on screen.

The script given to them by the show was an original campus skit: Gentle Honor Student Girl x School Bully Boss setting. Compared to the alleged fights between the other groups, Xu Jiafan and her worked well together during rehearsals.

Xu Jiafan, as a newcomer, was modest and polite, and Liang Yan was very talkative and nice. They added each other as WeChat friends.

Liang Yan observed her and Xu Jiafan’s performance, keeping a close eye on it. In fact, it wasn’t hard to play their role as high school students, but the key was to grasp the appropriate degree. When they were too restrained, the shots wouldn’t show the feelings of two adolescents; if too liberal, it would become an urban drama, which would be contrary to the campus drama’s innocence and sweetness.

It looked much better without the barrage of comments. Liang Yan watched her performance with Xu Jiafan in one sitting. She saw herself playing a gentle honor student girl, lying on the desk.

Xu Jiafan played the school bully boss with some awkward positions. He came over to try and steal a kiss on the cheek and unconsciously smiled.

Liang Yan reflected in hindsight, laughing at her own performance. She touched the corners of her lips, thinking, was this the legendary sweet aunt’s smile?

Apart from marrying Lu Lincheng, Liang Yan has not been in love since childhood. And now, her heart was beating erratically as she recalled the sweet scenes in the drama.

Liang Yan was quite satisfied with her performance with Xu Jiafan. The only disadvantage was that she didn’t have much freedom to act on stage; it was all according to the rehearsal. But now, when she watched the finished product, it wasn’t too bad. Just like what Ye Su said, the two of them captured the essence of the performance, they looked “natural.”

It’s just that Liang Yan didn’t dare to read the audience comments now. She had just been scolded and was afraid.

She pondered over and over, reached out to the button a few times, but still didn’t dare to open the comments section.

Liang Yan was entangled when she suddenly received a WeChat message.

Xu Jiafan: Liang Yan, tonight’s show just aired. I’ll follow you on Weibo, can you do the same? Cover face laugh.jpg.]

Liang Yan smiled. [Okay.]

She opned her Weibo and followed Xu Jiafan. Now, they had a connection. A double arrow appeared, connecting them.

After following Xu Jiafan, Liang Yan scrolled on her following list. Most of them were part of the industry, and “Lu Lincheng” was in first spot of her list.

The bottom right corner shows, “Followed” and not “Following each other.”

Liang Yan’s cheeks puffed.

No wonder some people ridiculed Liang Yan and stated she would, sooner or later, be dumped by Lu Lincheng. The man didn’t even follow her on Weibo after they got married.

Liang Yan’s expression twisted as she thought of Lu Lincheng’s incorrect phone number in her phone and his private WeChat number that she didn’t deserve to have. She bit her lower lip, looked around as if she was going to steal something, then unfollowed Lu Lincheng’s Weibo page.

Unfollowed!

Seeing the arrow connecting them disappear, Liang Yan placed her phone down and let out a long sigh of relief.

Someday, if they needed to contact each other, they could put the message in a bottle.
