Thirty-seventh Day: To divorce or not? (2)
He raised his brow.
Liang Yan rolled her eyes when she noticed Lu Lincheng’s spring breeze smile. She stood straight, then, suddenly, bowed to him. “First of all, thank you for helping me at the haunted house today.”
Lu Lincheng hummed.
After bowing, Liang Yan straightened up, wanting to talk to Lu Lincheng about their divorce certificate immediately. But she also thought that she should be subtle and not be too blunt as a Chinese person.
So, Liang Yan euphemistically pointed her hand to the sky.
Lu Lincheng followed the trajectory of her hand.
Liang Yan: “Do you think that the cloud in the sky looks like the divorce certificate we haven’t gotten yet?”
Lu Lincheng looked at her in disbelief.
......
“Whose Baby?” recording in the amusement park was now officially over. When they were on the way back, the program team just realized that Liang Yan couldn’t be found, and Lu Lincheng had disappeared as well.
Luo Luo still wearing the princess dress, holding the fairy wand in one hand, and the director on the other side, cried, “Where are my Brother Lu and Aunt Liang?”
The director called Liang Yan’s phone, and it was connected, but was hung up after.
He called Lu Lincheng but his phone was turned off.
Although the program team didn’t say anything, the audience in the live broadcast room noticed that something was up.
[I haven’t seen Liang Yan since earlier.]
[Where is Lu Lincheng?]
[Yeah, why is Luo Luo with the director?]
The camera turned to the other intern parents and guests, but the audience didn't buy it, and it confirmed the suspicion in their hearts.
[Where are Lu Lincheng and Liang Yan?]
[It’s been more than an hour since they last appeared on camera.]
[We need a quick response from the program. Where are Liang Yan and Lu Lincheng?]
Lu Lincheng’s fans and Liang Yan’s fans were trying hard to disassociate their idols from each other, saying that the disappearance of their idols had nothing to do with the other party. It resulted in more confusion which angered a lot of passersby fans.
[To refute the rumor, it doesn’t matter if they disappear together?]
If they eloped, why did they go to the hospital?
Liang Yan waited for the doctor to close the door before complaining, “I already told you before that I lost my memory long ago, but you never believed me!”
Her mount curved downward. “You even told me not to make trouble. Aren’t you tired? No matter how much we work this out, you don’t have any feelings for me.”
The series of electrode pads on her forehead hadn’t been removed, looking a bit funny. She looked like a woman in a lab being experimented on in a sci-fi movie.
“Why would I lie to you? There’s nothing worth lying to you,” Liang Yan muttered as she went down the bed and wore the slippers in the ward. She sat next to Lu Lincheng on the sofa as she held the diagnosis paper in her hand. “Can we go for a divorce now?”
Lu Lincheng just listened without saying anything. He turned to Liang Yan, staring at her face.
She looked at him with eyes so clear as before, but this time, something was missing… adoration.
Or maybe her pure love.
It was like when she danced “Cheer Up!”, and then said to him, “Lu Lincheng, I can!” with a heart.
Lu Lincheng reached out to her, and removed the electrodes on her head. Some of the electrodes stuck on Liang Yan’s long hair, and she frowned. She couldn’t help but cry out in pain as the electrodes were removed.
So, he moved lightly.
Lu Lincheng threw electrodes to the garbage bin and asked, “Do you remember anything?”
Liang Yan caressed her head. “How can it be so easy to remember? Didn’t you hear the doctor say that it depends on my good fortune if I can remember? This treatment only plays an auxiliary role, helping to calm my heart.”
She was dissatisfied with Lu Lincheng, so she continued to ask, “When are you free? Let’s just go and get the divorce certificate. They say the process is quite simple, and it will be done in a flash.”
Liang Yan imagined her life after divorce; she didn’t have to lie to her fans, fearing that they would discover her deceit. She could give her best on her work, and be on variety shows. As long as she became popular enough, the identity of Lu Lincheng’s wife would be forgotten by the masses.
How nice~
Liang Yan couldn’t help but smile.
Lu Lincheng’s fingers tightened around the medical certificate as he listened to her words. His knuckles turned white, trembling slightly.
He wanted to laugh. To force himself to say, “Okay,” so he could ignore his panicking heart. But he realized he couldn’t do this.
Perhaps when he agreed to come to “On Screen,” and participate on, “Whose Baby?” he couldn’t ignore it anymore.
Finally, Lu Lincheng gritted his teeth: “Liang Yan.”
“Hmmm…” Liang Yan looked at him with expectations.
Lu Lincheng: “Have you forgotten how you asked me to marry you?”
