Ofilis Hall Occupation (9)
Act 2 Scene 3 Occupation of Ophilis Building.
Battle for the 5th floor boss maid Jean Ellis.
Looking at Tailley and the others from the center of the 5th floor hall they are as calm as usual.
No matter what time of day a neat demeanor does not change. If you look at her from head to toe there isn’t a single thing that looks disheveled. The maid’s uniform is much more extravagant and decorated than that of an ordinary maid. Nevertheless nothing was left out.
What she was holding in her hand was her rapier decorated with a lot of gorgeous rose patterns. Her opposite hand is collecting mana for mid-level magic.
Not only that but even the protective corps protecting the Ofilis Hall had returned the initiative to her. Because she said Will Lane had lost her mind.
Her sword skills are on par with combat students her magic skills are even better than mid-level magic and even the guardians of the Ofilis Hall are on her side.
It is different from Willain who was swayed by the law and destroyed the Ofilis Pavilion. While serving as the head maid at Ofilis Hall she is already familiar with the entire protective system and how to use it.
Nevertheless they cannot defeat Tailly and his group. Tailley McLaure is the main character.
As if that wasn’t true the final battle of Act 2 Scene 3 began without a doubt.
The showdown was also completed so quickly that it felt futile.
*
A single raindrop flowed down Shenny’s rapier.
Mana is almost gone. The basic magic that can be used in the future is limited to two or three times.
I quietly closed my eyes and recalled the memories.
Shenny’s first thrust is aimed at the lower abdomen and between the thighs. Even if you repeat it a hundred or thousand times it is the same. The maids at Ofilis Hall all use knives in a similar way so even if you don’t like them you will get used to the pattern.
pouring rain.
Shenny’s feet kick the ground and break through the rain instantly closing the distance.
When seen from the front the fluttering hem of the maid uniform’s loose skirt looks like a flower blooming.
But in an instant Shenny’s body rotates. The hem of her skirt which was like a flower petal curled and disappeared and before her eyes could follow its whereabouts a rapier was stuck in her thigh. No she should have been fucked.
– Kang!
However Shenny’s rapier fell to the ground with its blade trampled by my foot.
My body was already reacting even before Shenny approached me. It is the realm of foresight rather than whether or not the reaction speed is fast.
Shenny is basically a force optimized to match her younger brother Kelly who handles magic.
For Kelly who is in charge of rearrangement and direct firepower his role is to stand at the forefront and exploit the enemy with his quick and mysterious movements.
There is almost no direct firepower and the unnecessary flashy and dynamic movements are only meant to attract attention. Although the body movements are agile the direct strength is weak.
“What!”
I thought he was chanting magic and approached quickly but the movements that seemed to be preparing for basic magic were just fakes.
A wizard must not give distance. This is because magic that moves a lot and takes time to chant can only truly demonstrate its power from outside a safe distance.
This is also because their strength and agility are inferior compared to melee fighters. In other words those dealing with wizards tend to focus only on narrowing the distance.
Unfortunately there is a difference in weight class between Shenny and me.
“Tsk!”
Shenny was startled and tried to take out the dagger that was hanging between her thighs.
However my hand that suppresses it starts before the hand that goes toward the dagger.
He bent one of Shenny’s wrists and kicked the bundle of knives hanging on his thigh with his other foot.
-Kagan! Kang!
All of the auxiliary weapons I kept ready for emergencies were useless.
However for an instant Shenny’s eyes turned red and a flow of mana began to leak out from her bent wrist.
Twin maids Shenny and Kelly can share each other’s abilities to some extent. It is the privilege of twin sisters who have been blessed by the same star since birth.
The dagger that was rolling on the floor suddenly begins to float in the air. Low-level telekinetic magic used by Kelly. It is a ‘living weapon’ that allows you to move a sword or spear to directly attack the enemy.
Four daggers spin around and come to a halt aiming at me.
As Shenny’s hand holding the rapier regains strength the daggers rush towards me. It lunged like a deadly bird of prey but I didn’t turn my gaze toward it.
He lowered his body protected only his vital area and pressed his shoulder against Shenny.
Shenny’s magic isn’t as sophisticated as Kelly’s. She can only borrow that power but she is still nothing more than an attention-grabbing act.
The daggers flew one by one into my thigh and right shoulder and forearm but they came off so easily that it’s almost laughable to say they got stuck. It looks like a child threw it away as a joke. The only damage here is very slight bleeding.
I did not loosen my hold on Shenny’s bent wrist.
From the beginning Shenny’s purpose was clear. The flying dagger is a trick to steal the opponent’s attention and force them to react. Most of her Shenny’s power comes from her signature agile movements.
Once you dominate a movement you have no intention of giving up that advantage.
I placed my elbow on Shenny’s solar plexus and threw her down on the floor bleeding profusely.
“Oops!”
Shenny’s breathing stopped for a moment. I dug my nails into Shenny’s forearm and applied force to scrape off the flesh.
-Kaang!
eww. Argh!”
“That’s right.”
I kicked the rapier that was rolling on the floor.
This is an opponent who makes up for the difference in strength with agile and nimble movements. If you lose your weapon and your movements are suppressed there is no hope anymore.
It took less than a minute to get here.
“Gaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
But Shenny with her bloodshot eyes filled with rainwater grabbed me and pushed me against my chest. She scratched my body with her fingernails and kicked my back with her thighs showing resistance that bordered on madness.
“I can’t come this far and disappoint Ellis! Move! Get out of the way!”
Elegant and polite manners are a thing of the past because people are already rolling around in the mud. I wiped away the blood pressed down on Shenny’s collar and spoke straight into her face.
“Elise will lose.”
The blood that fell from my face lands on Shenny’s pure white cheek. The drops of blood that flowed down her face and into her ears mix with the rainwater and wet the floor.
“What do you know? “What do you know about Ellis?”
To be honest I don’t know.
The occupation of Ofilis Hall was just a passing event. The inside story of the event boss I defeated in passing was beyond my knowledge.
“Do you know how much Alice suffered? “Do you even know what kind of fight he had to fight to protect what he believed in?”
To be honest... ”
Sylvania’s Failed Sword Master did not go into much depth about Ellis’s personal situation.
Since there are a lot of episodes to digest you might have thought that if you went over the circumstances of each side character the volume would be too big and the plot would be too drawn out.
“... “It’s none of my business.”
Shenny’s eyes widened at those words. There is no answer as I am speechless. Because it is not wrong.
– Bang!
A huge explosion occurred starting from the 5th floor of the Ofilis Building. The white brilliance that embroiders the darkness of late at night is clearly the source of Tailley’s sword ceremony.
Maid leader Ellis’s strategy is also coming to an end.
Shenny took advantage of the shock and reached out to my face with bloodshot eyes.
I was planning to sharpen my nails and apply more pressure to make my arms relax but I had already grabbed the area around her neck and started pressing it hard. As your breathing becomes increasingly difficult it will not be long before you pass out.
Shenny started scratching the back of my neck and around my collarbone like she couldn’t get enough of it.
“Without even knowing! Without even knowing about you Ellis! How can you be on that evil woman’s side... !”
Shenny’s voice is full of hatred as she jerks and stretches out her hand.
“Do you know how many orphans you have saved Alice?! I was one of them! “If it weren’t for Ellis I wouldn’t have been able to work at a decent job like this make money on my own or even survive in the first place!”
“I didn’t ask.”
“Wow!”
I didn’t care about the scratches that were forming around my face and neck I continued to press down on Shenny. The hatred rising from my bloodshot eyes overtook me but I did not change my expression.
“I don’t forgive... Lortel’s... Taking sides... Ed Ed Roste... Big ugh... ”
The white hand that was holding my face gradually lost its strength. Both arms collapsed and got stuck in the mud.
I relaxed my hands and looked down at Shenny who had completely fainted.
I slowly got up.
I saw Shenny’s body lying naked her entire body turning into mud. Her face with her bloodshot eyes and tears streaming down her face was etched into her memory.
Unfortunately I don’t know the stories of the extras. What are you telling me to do about something I don’t know?
There is no way to know how Shenny and Kelly were saved by Ellis and came to work as maids at Ofili’s House and how much respectable work Ellis did in the process.
Sylvania’s failed swordsman did not put the spotlight on that side of the story. There was no story in the scenario or setting book that shed light on them.
Moreover if Elte were to fall from power Ellis would have no other choice but to join Lortel’s hand. As long as the situation is clearly visible she can take advantage of it as much as she wants.
Shenny and Kelly are maids who are loyal to Ellis’ words. As long as you convince Ellis the two will naturally keep quiet.
Willaine the representative of the inferior students was bought with money from the beginning. He has always wanted to raise the voice of inferior students but he is the easiest person to manipulate even giving them money to manipulate them into thinking they are doing something.
In the end the final uncontrollable variable is Ed Rosstaylor.
At first I thought I could buy it with money but now I’m not sure whether I can buy it with money or not.
If you force yourself to guess his true intentions you have to take into account the risk of being stabbed again.
The location is a remote area in the northern forest.
In the midst of the chaos caused by the Ofilis Hall incident no one is paying attention.
The opponent is a total mess. I am so exhausted and have so many injuries that I cannot control my body properly.
There is some kind of sharp weapon in his hand.
She is like the embodiment of greed taking even the smallest opportunity unconditionally.
I know better than anyone else that I am not a talented person who would pass up such a genius opportunity.
Let’s calm down.
You can deal with it.
Not only are they as tired as I am but they haven’t even gone deep into the forest yet so if I just beat them once I might be able to get to the professor’s building.
Additionally there are quite a few spirits that are friendly to me in this forest. If you can get their help you can disrupt Lortel’s movements for a while.
Yes let’s admit what we have to admit. I was a bit complacent.
We were unable to take into account the subsequent situation as we were busy dealing with the numerous variables that suddenly came our way.
No matter what we should not have forgotten the essence of Lortel Kecheln.
Act 2 Scene 3: The battle for the Wise Man’s Seal which will occur due to the occupation of Ophilis Hall.
Have you already forgotten the sight of Lortel you saw at the climax?
No matter what anyone says Lortel Kecheln is the villain of villains who can take advantage of any human being and throw them away.
The one who stabs his adoptive father in the back holds the movements of Taily and his group in his hands and runs away with all the stakes in his hands.
The remnants of the scene of the evil woman smiling darkly in front of the bachelor while holding the wise man’s letter lowering her head and smiling while hearing Elte’s screams still remain in my mind.
This is not the time to be like this. Turn your brain on.
The moment when I was trying to steady my body which was not moving well and finalize a fairly plausible escape plan.
– Boouk.
Lortel used his dagger to tear off his expensive-looking robe.
And then he approached me with a wobbly gait
“To this extent... . Was it going to hurt you? ”
With torn cloth... It was to bind up my wounds.
That expression I can finally see... It looked like it was crying.
“I’ll help you. Since the rain had stopped I lit a bonfire. “Let’s warm up first.”
– crackle crackle.
“So everything went according to plan?”
“Senior Ed too. “I’m Lortel Kecheln.”
The moon and stars rose as usual. The sky after the rain stops feels rather warm.
It seems like he has finally returned to his fox-like self as he smiles while holding a mug across a crackling campfire.
“I made a firm promise to the coachman. “He said he would get as much attention as possible and buy time even if it meant risking his life.”
“You’re that loyal? “What did you do?”
“Do you want to know?”
I decided not to ask any further questions as I could tell just by looking at the grin that it wasn’t an honorable method. She probably didn’t hold her family hostage or anything.
... Am I right?
“Well it was very different from what I had planned... Anyway I am very indebted to senior Ed. “Thank you senior.”
okay.
“Senior do you know that? “If this plan is completed well I will join the ranks of those in power at Elte Company.”
Another senior merchant will take over as the head of the business but since he is the person who created the current business he will become the most powerful person in the business.
“Isn’t it such a big deal that you owe me money? how is it. Don’t you feel a surge of strength in your shoulders? “Don’t you feel like I’m kind of amazing?”
“... ”
“Wow that reaction is so boring.”
I was relieved that the grin he was smiling while saying that was no different from his usual smile that concealed his sinister intentions.
Lortel laughed mischievously then took a sip of the herbal tea in the mug... He lowered his tone quietly.
“Thank you senior. “I will never forget it.”
“Give me the 20 coins you promised on time.”
“Ahaha what is that... “It’s natural.”
What’s so good about it is that it doesn’t erase the grinning expression on its face. I felt very uncomfortable as he blinked and glanced at my face as if he was trying to see through my thoughts.
“That’s it there was something I wanted to ask you.”
what? Is there still anything left to take care of? “Is it about Ellis?”
“No not like that. Now that’s up to me... “I’m talking about Senior Yenika.”
Passing topics as naturally as water is a skill more natural to a merchant than breathing.
“Senior Ed is very close to senior Yenika. “Right?”
At those words I tilted my head and then answered.
“Yeah we’re close. “He’s a good kid.”
“I definitely respect him because he is a kind and good senior. “He is always considerate of others and has a good heart.”
okay. “Why is that?”
At those words Lortel looked down at the herbal tea and looked up at the sky. The sky seen from the riverside of the northern forest is high and clear as usual.
The rain has stopped. As if he was happy about that fact or as if he wanted someone to hear it.
“Because I’m not that nice.”
While muttering those words he quietly held the mug and closed his eyes.
– Quaaaaaaaaaa!
The first floor of the Ofilis Building is not only half-destroyed but is already completely destroyed.
Ziggs Eiffelstein finished the battle and braced himself. The mercenaries brought by Elte were not as good as I thought.
To begin with he didn’t even look like a mercenary directly under contract with Elte Company. When mercenaries of that level come rushing in even Ziggs can’t help but struggle. He is good at quality but he has no business with quantity.
However the mercenaries’ training was so poor that Ziggs and Yenika alone were sufficient to defend Ofilis Hall.
‘Are they mercenaries who were hastily airlifted in? I guess it was an urgent situation or I didn’t want anyone to know that I was away.’
Making that analogy Ziggs sat down on the nearby wreckage.
‘Somehow... I have a feeling that there will be another fight. I’m also a bit worried about the maid. ‘There must be something there.’
I didn’t feel very relieved but given the situation at hand there was nothing I could do.
“Wow thank you for your hard work. Senior Yenika.”
I came out to help Ed’s sudden request without even understanding the situation but the job itself seemed to have been completed well anyway.
Elte suddenly received a report from his subordinate and rushed out. He said he had no interest in the Ofilis building anymore.
At this rate did it go according to Senior Ed’s plan? It would be nice to hear a detailed explanation of the situation next time.
With that in mind Ziggs looked towards Yenika.
“... ”
There is a girl in the middle of the lieutenant spirit’s corps. At first they looked worried but as the battle continued the spirit’s spirit became incredibly stronger.
Fearing that there would be casualties if things continued like this Ziggs had to keep telling Yenika to keep fighting.
“Senior Yenika?”
From Ziggs’ perspective all he can see is Yenika’s back. It looked somehow cute so Ziggs held his breath for a moment.
“... Senior Yenika what’s going on? “Are you angry?”
no.
The girl was smiling brightly.
“I’m not angry.”
However because of the protruding cross veins Ziggs felt embarrassed to talk to him any further.
