Chapter 239:8-Star Orc

Lucas and the others turned their head in the direction of the rumbling sound.

Even though they shifted their attention toward it, they didn’t forget about the orc who was in the last stage of his life.

Lucas knew that the Orc leader before him was going to lose, so he tried to wear it down and kill it at once.

But he frowned as he felt a faint strong aura drawing near them at an astonishing rate.

As he enhanced his senses by trying to locate it, his eyes widened with horror and instead of engaging with the Orc leader, he kicked it and sent it flying while shouting at top of his lungs.

“All of you retreat.”

“Run away for our lives.”

“I repeat, everyone flee!”

Everyone who heard his call wondered what was going on that was able to make Lucas panic like this to give them the order to retreat.

Even if Orcs had sent additional troops, his behavior was too exaggerated.

Still, seeing the fear and helplessness on his face, many heed his orders and started to run away.

Unlike others wasting time thinking about what was going on, Lucas set off at once.

He could feel something terrifying approaching them but how could the Orc who had been beaten to this state leave them easily?

They had pushed till the end of the ropes and were on the stage of dying but the humans instead of finishing them were running away like cowards.

Some thought that help was on their way so their blood started to boil with intense fighting intent and they started to chase after them.

They noticed that the human had turned their backs on them, allowing them to strike them and kill them easily.

They started to spin their weapons and threw them at them.

Swish!

Like a projectile, the sharp-edged weapons flew toward them trying to take them down.

But before they could reach them, a huge wall of ice rose from the ground.

The weapons collided with walls of ice scattering into shards and their momentum decreased and fell to the ground.

Lucas carved layers of ice walls one after another forming thick embankments.

Xanth and others who were running away turned their heads to see Lucas work and shouted.

“Thanks, Lucas, for saving our lives.”

As everyone started to retreat, Lucas summoned a huge number of strong robust ice and spikes and sent them to Orc giving them a parting gift.

Turning back, he dashed towards the pass but midway through his run, he finally felt the incoming crisis and was able to identify what it was.

Lucas who was running with all his might suddenly felt his legs going soft and all his strength had left his body suddenly.

Like him, everyone’s face became as pale as a sheet of paper.

BOOOOM!

Leaving behind a trail and tearing the sky, a figure landed on the ground with a loud blast.

Like a meter, it crashed onto the ground forming a large crater sweeping the dust and debris.

The ground cracked and as the winds carried away the layers of dust in the sky, a figure emerged from it.

It was huge and monstrous and as his fierce eyes turned his gaze all around, it felt his blood boiling with anger.

He was already pissed off greatly and seeing the scene before him, he felt as if he was going to be pissed off to death.

The Orc troops that had been sent had been almost reduced to one-fifth of the original forces.

The leader of the squad was in a pathetic condition with one arm missing while it was beaten to blue anger.

He snorted in anger and a fierce breath released from his body created a strong gust of wind all around.

“Golurk, you are nothing but a pathetic bastard.”

“You can’t manage a squad bringing them to the brink of death.”

“I, Mason, is now removing you from the post and ordering you to get the punishment for all the mess you have created.” He sneered.

Mason turned his head and his gaze fell on the tiny ants like humans who were trying to flee.

Seeing their cowardliness angered him greatly.

On the other hand, everyone was at loss for breath seeing the Orc’s sudden entry.

Lucas’s whole body was frozen like a statue and he was stupefied for a moment wondering what he was going to do next.

Does he run away or stay here cause the Orc before he was a 8-Star warrior?

He tried to pull his hair and pinched himself wondering if he had just seen a dream.

Although he looked dazed still he was trying to maintain his calmness while he was swearing with all the knowledge he had gained in his two lives.

‘For god’s sake. What the hell is this?’

Fate was a bitch. It was okay for the Orcs to send the reinforcement.

Lucas wouldn’t even be surprised if they sent thousands of Orcs as reinforcements.

‘It would be okay to send a 6-Star. Okay, you can even send a 7-Star. But why the hell did you send a powerhouse of 8-Star?’

‘Did 8-Star warriors in your tribe be so free that they didn’t have a job and they were so bored to death that you sent them here or do you think this is a cultivation world where all powerhouses ganged upon a sect?’

‘Mummy?’ Lucas wanted to cry now as he wasn’t able to think of an escape.

Meanwhile, only if Eleanor knew that after beating the Orc with a flick, it would directly look for his son, she may tear this Orc into pieces and feed them to dogs.

The first mark was already set on its chest forming the shape of fingers pressing on the huge bulging chest adding a symbol of another glory.

Though it included the glory of shame.

“Shit!” Lucas cursed and shouted.

“Everyone crouch down, he is attacking,” Lucas screamed and the same order was given by Lash who glared at the 8-Star Orc.

Mason took out a spear from his back and held it over his shoulder.

“Kukkkkkkkkkkkk!”

He emitted a loud bestial shriek enough to shake the whole place.

His aura started to climb again and he poured his mana into the spear tip and started to condense on it forming a layer.

The tip of the spear started to glow fiercely.

Mason took a step forward which formed a foot mark and the ground under him cracked due to his pressure.

He made a throwing motion, and his hands holding the spear moved like a whip.

The muscles on his arms bulged outwards and he released the spear with all its strength.

Swish!

The spear was shot like a streak of lightning leaving behind a trail of light as it moved forward tearing everything that was before him.

It moved straight towards the walls erected on the pass and it finally collided with it.

RUMBLE!!

The sky shook harder and harder and the earth split into countless pieces.

BOOOOOOM!

The ground split with greater intensity and the mountains on both sides of the pass started to tremble following which a huge explosion took place.

A powerful shockwave arose from the explosion spreading afar and sweeping away everything in its radius.

Lucas summoned the armor and raised his arms to block the shockwaves that swept him away, throwing him into the battlefield.

A huge sphere of mushroom shaped cloud emerged from the place of impact and burst forth within that, swallowing everything.

Trails of black smoke started to rise in the sky forming a cloud while the fire had been spread all around the place.

The side of the mountain had been cracked and trees near it had been uprooted and shattered into countless pieces.

The terrifying explosion lasted for a while.

Lucas didn’t know where he was and even forgot what he was doing.

He held his head which was throbbing greatly and a piercing pain assaulted him.

“Ahhhh!” A painful groan escaped from his lips and as he tried to get up he found himself lying on the pile of debris and a layer of dust and soil had gathered on him.

Clearing away everything, he stood up but he staggered to his feet.

He felt the world spinning around and just the impact of the previous explosion had brought him to this pathetic state.

As he raised his chin to look at the walls, his eyes lose their luster and his heart squeezed.

Before him was a barren land with black soot soil.

The walls, the checkpoints and everything had disappeared as if nothing existed there from the beginning.

Lucas was horrified to even imagine what would have happened if they had retreated to the check post.

But he hadn’t time to worry about it as a bigger worry was on their head as the 8-Star Orc still stood before them staring at them menacingly.
