The quest was simple. Yet there were so many things that remained unsolved… or perhaps they were solved in a way?
Recalling back how everything had started, what was the most obvious way for the tutorial to go if I had not interfered?
Tutorial 4 would have been about survival. The way we were left in the middle of nowhere and were tasked to reach the nearest safe point. It was an easy quest that anyone could do.
If one can do that, they would have been tasked to deal with the internal struggles of the kingdom. Not just this one, but the other kingdoms would have surely tried to use the powers of the otherworlders for their own good. Greed… It's surely a troublesome emotion that all beings possess.
'But the quest was to survive in the kingdom and defend it?' I thought about it a bit. And in the end realized that it was also a chance for the players to improve their own power along with protecting the stronghold where the last war would take place.
Looking at the other places where the players were, they were also attacked with a lot of monsters and such. Unlike how this place faced a threat from the other planet, those players got a threat from the monsters that surrounded them.
'The difficulty is randomized? Perhaps?' I gave it a bit more thought. If I weren't here, then there was a high chance that these players would have either perished or joined the enemies. And this war… it would have surely reached a high point where both the Vampires and the Holy Humans would have been at their neck full throttle?
Though… the planet was still at its end…. Does that mean the Tutorial 5 would have started randomly even if nobody did anything? It could be possible… Though there were still too many inconsistencies. Perhaps the interference of the Corrupted Players also played a part in the diversion.
And as for the final event, it's self explanatory. Witness the end of the world. S~eaʀᴄh the nôvel_Fire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
I sighed as I recollected everything before closing the quest window. My eyes looked around at the frozen world for a few seconds before I pondered something. I had an idea… though before that, let's look at the [Bets] that I can make this time.
[Betting!]
-Bet on the Player who will exit first <Null> x10 times reward!
-Bet on the Number of Players who will survive for 10 days <Null> x 5 times reward!
-Bet on the Number of Players who will survive for 20 days <Null> x 10 Times reward!
-Bet on the Number of Players who will survive for 30 days <Null> x 20 Times Reward!
-Bet on the Player who will exit last <Null> x 50 times reward!
-Bet on the Player who will witness the complete end of this world's Fate <Null> x 100 Times Reward!
A smile appeared on my face as I looked at the last option. And then I put my name on the last bet, before pouring 200 Million Points into it. While it wasn't as high as the bets on the Tutorial 4, it was still good enough for me.
And with that done, I looked around a bit more. Since the time was frozen, I couldn't destroy anything even if I wanted to. But still… I was able to move around the area as freely as possible.
A smile appeared on my face as I looked at my [Gift: Cartography!]. And then taking the first step…
-Whoosh!
I began running all around the entire planet. And much to my delight, I was still able to map the area without any problems at all.
-Whoosh!
-Whoosh!
With time stopped, I didn't need to worry about anything at all. I could map the entire planet without holding back. I don't know how much time passed as I kept running around the entire planet.
10%… 20%… 40%… 70%…. 100%.
Not leaving a single stone unturned, I covered the entire planet, before using the opened portal to move to the other planet as well.
10%… 30%… 50%… 70%… 100%.
And when that was done… The First Floor was next. The rift that connected to the first floor, how could I not abuse that loophole as well.
-Whoosh!
Mapping everything I could, it was much faster than the planets. And before I knew it, I mapped the entire first floor as well. Though… that left me a bit… wondering.
[Your Gift Cartography has been upped by 1 Minor Grade!]
The number of people on the first floor was far less than what I had initially calculated. I had anticipated the population to be somewhere around 20-30 billion, given that everyone was transported here, though much to my surprise, there weren't even 100 million people in the entire first floor.
But… then I recalled something else as well.
[The Game Master can bet on players on other servers as well!]
I pondered about it, before checking if there was anything like that in the [Game Master System]. Initially I did not find anything, but after checking for a few minutes, I found a certain option allowing me to Change Servers.
I hesitated for a bit before clicking on the [Server!]
And then, thousands and thousands of panels appeared in front of me. Each marked with a number, a different code. Clicking on one of them, I tried looking at it, and I found that it was a random server in the tutorial where the people were fighting against monsters.
I checked another, and then another and then another. In some, there were angels, in another there were beastmen, some elves, some more humans. In some there were cultivators, some spirits, some sorcerers. A variety of each race, a variety of each being. If there were humans, there were also sub humans. If there were elves, there were thousand types of elves.
My heart sank a bit as I gulped before observing one of the random servers where a couple of elves were fighting against some werewolf type demihumans. Noticing that the server was in [Tutorial 2 Phase], I pondered if I could prevent the collapse of their world.
Hence, I tried changing my [Server] to that [Server], though, something interrupted me.
[Warning! The Game Master would transfer to the other Server! His presence would completely vanish from this Server! Proceed with caution!]
'Hmmm…. I guess, that makes sense,' I sighed before carefully observing those elves fighting against the monsters. And then a certain idea appeared in my mind. My smile widened as I looked at those elves before I began checking for their stats… and then finding the strongest… no… the weakest among them.
[Would you like to send [Contract] to [Elise Eva Nevalati (Elf)!] for 5000 GM Points?]
I clicked [Yes] as I looked at the stats of that elf girl with blonde hair.
…
[Location: Server 2312HA891!]
[Elise Eva Nevalati's POV!]
Born as the weakest among my tribe, I was never the one to be looked up to. Called me as a disgrace in my tribe, I was disowned by my own parents. Yet, I kept struggling through and through as much as I could, trying to beat fate as much as possible.
When the Apocalypse descended, I pretty much lost all hope. But when I saw that everyone received a random [Gift], that could redefine fate itself, I was happy. A chance to change my worthless life… something that I had been dreaming of ever since my birth!
But alas…. Some things never change, do they?
[Gift: Scorched Eyes

-For every 30 Wisdom Points that the user possesses, her eye/flame based skills have their effect increased by 7%

-Reduces the overall effect of all non-Fire and/or non-Ocular based attacks by 30%!]
What I received wasn't a blessing but a curse. A curse that killed all my efforts that I had been doing for the past 30 years. All my water and earth based skills powers reduced below what they already were. Worse? I didn't have even a single fire based skill with me.
'It was a miracle that I was able to survive this long. Though, I doubt I would last long in this mad world,' I thought as my eyes traced the fight in front of me. We were barely defending ourselves, with Avil taking the front. He was our hero, the one who received a [Heaven's] grade gift. And was currently defending us all…
He was the reason, we were all alive. Whether it was before this, or whether it was now. He has always protected us, along with the elders. The Hero of the forest elves. Someone, I always looked upon… a beacon of hope.
And here I was. Hiding behind the trees, trying to protect myself as I cowered in fear.
I….
Just what was I alive for?
And… as I was questioning the worth of my life… a message appeared in front of me. A message that was going to turn my entire life upside down.
[ [???] has sent you a [Contract]. Would you like to accept it?]
"Huh?!"
