Chapter 106: Meeting A Rival In Romance

After a beautiful battle, Lin Luo had finally taught a lesson to the Xing family members who kept making small movements behind their backs. As such, Lin Luo was in a good mood and said that he wanted to treat everyone to a big meal.

As the capital of the Empire, the Capital Planet was much more prosperous than Kipola and had many tall buildings, well-developed transportation, and an endless stream of restaurants and eateries of various flavors. Under Xing Mo’s recommendation, they went to an interstellar restaurant called Huayao. They had heard that this restaurant was a very famous one on the Capital Planet. Although it was very expensive, it was still crowded with customers because of its unique flavor and novel dishes.

Before Xing Mo had been ejected from the Xing family, he had always been a frequent visitor to this restaurant, so this could have been considered him going to revisit an old favorite place of his.

As soon as they entered the door, a waiter in a neat uniform came forward to receive them. Coincidentally, this waiter had received Xing Mo several times in the past, so he recognized him at a glance.

“Mr. Xing, welcome back.”

Xing Mo also smiled and nodded to him.

“Mr. Xing, the lobby downstairs is almost full and there are no more tables available for four people, but there is still an empty room upstairs. Would you like to see if it would suit your needs?” There was a minimum consumption for the private rooms, so generally speaking for only four people to sit in a private room was a bit extravagant. The waiter knew Xing Mo’s identity though and thought that he should ask first since Xing Mo likely wouldn’t care about such a small amount of money.

Sure enough, Xing Mo agreed to the private room directly, “Please lead the way.”

Compared with the crowded lobby, Xing Mo still preferred the quiet of private rooms. After all, he and Lin Luo were in the limelight quite often recently. If they came to be recognized by their fans, it would be a troublesome thing, so it was better if they tried to keep a low profile.

Their group followed the waiter and took the elevator to the private room on the third floor. Just as they were passing through a hallway, several young people came across them. Among them was a young man with whose appearance was quite exceptional. After seeing Xing Mo and the others, the opposite group suddenly stopped.

“Big Brother Mo?” The young man looked at Xing Mo with surprise in his eyes. However Xing Mo, the person he called to, obviously didn’t react the way he had wanted.

Such an intimate address made Xing Mo frown uncomfortably.

“Who are you?” Xing Mo looked at the other side warily in two parts doubt and three parts vigilance.

The young man had soft blond hair, pale and clear skin, and delicate and picturesque facial features. A pair of beautiful peach blossom eyes added a touch of indescribable style to him, and his eyelashes were long and curled. When he looked at others, his eyes were very attractive and it seemed as if his gaze reached out with hooks that drew you in and stopped you from looking away.

“Brother Mo, I’m Gu SiYan! Don’t you remember? We knew each other when we were kids, and then later went to the same school!” The young man’s face showed an expression of slight grievance, which made him look very lovable.

Xing Mo searched for the name in the depths of his mind, but he didn’t have any impression at all.

“Sorry, I don’t seem to remember. Your surname is Gu? So you should be from the Gu family, right? Maybe we did know each other when we were young, but the Gu family and Xing family haven’t been in contact for many years, and I’m not a member of the Xing family anymore, so please just call me by my proper name.” Xing Mo said lightly.

“You…!” His words were cold and estranged, making Gu SiYan angry and aggrieved. His eyes turned slightly red, but his beautiful appearance was only enhanced by the redness at the corners of his eyes.

“Senior Xing! When you were at the First Military Academy, you and Si Yan gave a welcome speech together, and you also invited Si Yan to board your mecha. Have you forgotten all of that too?” A young man beside Gu SiYan finally couldn’t bear it anymore. He stood tall and upright, and looked as if he had just come out of the military.

After hearing what he said, Xing Mo finally had a slight impression, “Were you… the representative of the new students at the orientation meeting?”

On the eve of graduating from the First Military Academy of the Empire, Xing Mo was invited by the school as a representative of the senior students to give a welcome speech. At that time, he partnered with a younger student in the lower grades. When he was doing mecha demonstrations for freshmen, in order to save trouble, he directly invited the other party to partner with him. At the time though he wasn’t left with a deep impression of the junior, let alone his name.

“That was me!” Gu SiYan bit his lower lip slightly unwillingly. He never thought that Xing Mo would leave him behind him so easily.

“It’s nice to see you again, and I wish you a pleasant meal.” Xing Mo said politely and was about to leave. He didn’t want to get too involved with the Gu family.

“Wait a minute!” Gu SiYan didn’t expect that he didn’t even want to say a word to him, so he hurriedly stopped the other party, “Mo… Senior Xing, can you exchange communication numbers with me?”

“I don’t think it’s necessary to exchange communication numbers at this time. I’m afraid it would upset my lover.” Xing Mo said and gently held Lin Luo’s hand beside him.
