Chapter 109: Window Shopping!!

Both of them could understand what Lin Luo’s intent was by what he had just said. He was interested in the piece of jadeite being sold to them, but because the stall owner was making his sales pitch to them both first he naturally couldn’t make a move and as such he asked their intentions.

Now that Lin Luo had spoken up, it meant that he was optimistic about the piece of jadeite being sold, and Lin Luo’s optimism about jadeite was basically never wrong. That said, the two brothers still didn’t see what was so special about the piece of jadeite. If they said no, they may miss out on a piece of good stuff. However, they really didn’t have the kind of cheek it took to say yes.

While Han XinYuan was still hesitating, Han XinYu had already spoken up first, “Mr. Lin, we don’t want this gambling stone. By all means.”

“Yes, Mr. Lin, please.” Han XinYuan couldn’t help but laugh, but he himself wasn’t as transparent as his brother thought.

Lin Luo showed a shallow smile upon hearing this, “Then I won’t be shy.”

After speaking, he looked at the stall owner, “Boss, can I take a closer look at this piece of jadeite?”

“Yes, of course!” Seeing that Lin Luo was interested in his piece of jadeite, the stall owner was delighted and immediately passed the jadeite over and into his hands with a smile.

Lin Luo looked over the piece of jadeite and then said lightly, “Boss, I would take this piece of jadeite for the asking price of 80,000 credits.”

The transaction was completed seamlessly, and the money and goods traded hands smoothly.

Before Lin Luo had gotten a chance to put the jadeite into his space button, the two Han brothers immediately asked, “Mr. Lin, could we ask what exactly it was you saw in this piece of jadeite?”

He Kun and the others also came over with bright eyes, obviously also wanting to know more about the newly purchased piece of jadeite.

“Let’s talk about it over here…” Lin Luo shook his head helplessly, led everyone into a corner, and turned the piece of rust skin jadeite on it’s side. “If you look carefully, you can definitely find it.”

Everyone hurriedly looked in the direction Lin Luo was pointing at. It was a nodule of a black-gray substance that partly mixed in with the surface of the skin and partly in the stone layer on the skin.

“This is… withering?” Han XinYuan’s pupils immediately shrank slightly.

In fact, withering didn’t actually harm the interior jade at all. It was simply a result of a phenomenon that occurred when the jade encountered a fracture while developing. Usually, when this occurred, the jade’s energy would simply continue to develop across the fracture. In the instance of withering, however, the energy would instead stagnate and forming outgrowths. Therefore, the appearance of withering on the messy ant pine flowers was a good phenomenon for the jadeite, indicating that the internal problems weren’t too severe. There was even a saying that “where there was withering, there was color.” If the existence of the black fog had set the odds of the piece of jadeite rising at an even divide for or against, then with the appearance of the withering the betting rate of the piece of jadeite had risen to seven or eight points out of ten in its favor. It was looking more and more like the piece of jadeite would be a good gamble.

The Han brothers hadn’t noticed the withering nodule. It wasn’t necessarily because they were inferior in skill or that their eyesight wasn’t as good as Lin Luo’s, but that they had made the mistake of looking at the piece with preconceived notions.

They just bought a piece of semi-gambled jadeite, when the stall owner took the initiative to sell them another piece of semi-gambled jadeite. On top of that the stall owner was overhyping the piece in such a exaggerated and unbelievable way, along with the fact that the initial appearance of the jadeite was so bad at first glance. All of it together caused them to feel that the piece of jadeite was a bad gamble which caused them to lose any intention to check it further so as not to be entangled by the overly enthusiastic stall owner.

Lin Luo looked at it differently, though. Because of his beast genes, his eyesight was much stronger than that of ordinary people. Coupled with his own sense of curiosity he naturally observed more carefully, which led him to find the trace of withering smoothly. Once he saw that the Han brothers didn’t seem to be interested in the piece of jadeite, he simply asked them out loud. After getting their consent, he checked the jadeite with his powers and finally bought the piece of jadeite after his guess was confirmed.

“Wow, Xiao Luo, you’re so amazing!” He Kun and the others cheered again and felt that it was too good to be by Lin Luo’s side.

Han XinYuan and Han XinYu both looked at each other, each with wry smiles on their faces. This kind of mistake was a low-level mistake that shouldn’t have been made by people from a stone gambling family like theirs. At the same time, they once again had a deeper understanding of Lin Luo’s terrifying power in stones gambling. This young man’s talent and observation ability were really amazing.

Afterward, everyone went on shopping again, but as they were all stone gambling experts it wasn’t terribly convenient for them all to be forcibly tied together the entire time while trying to look over the items for sale. As such they all split up after they made sure to discuss a good time to meet back up.

Lin Luo was finally able to shop around without any distractions. As time passed, the market became more and more crowded. Xing Mo stretched out his hand to hold Lin Luo’s, and the two of them walked slowly with their fingers intertwined. There was a faint sense of sweetness lingering around the two of them.
