Chapter 122: Senior Energy Engineer

Lin Luo went to the front desk to report his name and ID number. He was quickly given a number plate and even managed to get a particularly auspicious number eight.

Gu QiuYang clenched the number seven card in his hand and looked at Lin Luo’s back with a gloomy expression on his face.

Lin Luo never would have imagined that his efforts and skills alone would have already earned hatred from someone.

The senior energy engineer level assessment wasn’t as complicated as the energy engineer qualification assessment. Applicants only needed to perform an actual extraction on site and meet the assessment standards.

When it was time for the assessment to start, a staff member in a silver-gray uniform walked over and said, “The assessment is ready to begin. Candidates number one and number two, please come with me.”

The first and second candidates were both old people with white hair on their temples. After hearing the staff speak, they got up immediately and followed them to the assessment room on the second floor.

The remaining candidates continued to sit or stand around quietly. The applicants were all people who had long since obtained the qualification of mid-rank energy engineer. As was consistent with their age and status, they were definitely much more calm than young people.

Lin Luo also sat quietly on the side, turned on his light brain, and browsed StarNet idly. It was at this moment that his shoulder was suddenly lightly tapped.

“Teacher Yuan?” Lin Luo was also surprised to see Yuan KaiJi there, “Teacher, are you here as an examiner today too?”

The last time Lin Luo came to take the exam, he had not yet obtained the qualification of an energy master, so he respectfully addressed Yuan Kaiji as a master at that time. Now though Lin Luo and Yuan KaiJi were both mid-rank energy engineers, so it wasn’t appropriate to address him as master any longer. As such he switched to calling him ‘Teacher Yuan’. Anyway, he felt that based on the age and qualifications of the other party, it was appropriate to address this person as a teacher.

When Yuan KaiJi heard his question, his quickly blushed, “I’m just a mid-rank energy engineer, so I can’t be an examiner for the senior energy engineer level assessment. I’m here to take the exam.”

Lin Luo showed a look of understanding. No wonder Yuan KaiJi wasn’t wearing the uniform of the Energy Administration today.

“It’s such a coincidence. I didn’t expect to be able to take the exam with you, Teacher Yuan.” Lin Luo was happy to see a person he knew and cheerfully raised his number plate with a smile. “Teacher Yuan, what number did you get?”

Yuan KaiJi still felt a burning feeling on his face. The examinee who was tested by his own hands at their beginning was now in the same exam with him…

“I’m number five.” Yuan KaiJi also raised his number plate, and then asked in a low voice, “Why did you come to participate in the assessment so soon? Are you sure about this?”

Every time you participate in an energy engineer level assessment, you need to pay a certain fee. If the applicant fails to pass, it would be a wase of money.

As he watched two more people get up and follow the staff to the second floor, Yuan KaiJi’s breathing became rapid. His turn was coming up soon…

It would definitely be a lie to say that he wasn’t nervous. He himself worked in the Energy Administration and knew that the pass rate for the senior energy engineer level assessment was extremely low. Basically only one or two people would pass each time.

Soon after, candidates three and four also failed the assessment…

The failure of four consecutive applicants only served to make the atmosphere between the remaining candidates become even more tense.
