Bai Lu, upon seeing the Blacksmiths disciples stepping in front of the youth that insulted him protectively, glared at them condescendingly before spitting out, “A bunch of weak trash clustering together for support. So what? Trash will be trash.”
The expression on the Blacksmith disciples' faces changed when they heard that, and suddenly Bai Lu felt multiple dagger-like gazes stabbing into the back of his head.
Bai Lu looked around to see that every Blacksmith disciple had turned to glare at him.
Having nearly a hundred people turn to look at you would cause anyone to become nervous, especially since they were filled with anger, but Bai Lu only snorted as he remembered his status and strength compared to them.
The Bai Clan members next to him weren’t nervous either since Bai Lu who was in the late stage of the Foundation Realm was with them, plus they were members of the Bai Clan as well as disciples from the Sword Pavilion. Who in the Academy would dare cause them trouble? Only a complete fool.
So as they felt all the Blacksmith disciples glaring at them, they glared back in contempt.
Bai Lu casually turned his head back to the youth who had just insulted him and sneered before saying, “Better not let me catch you alone you little brat. Or else I’ll make you regret your words.”
Bai Lu’s eyes released a vicious glow towards the youth before began to turn back to Fei Yin.
However, he suddenly heard the youth speak and even step forward from behind the Blacksmith disciples.
“You’ll make me regret it? Wasn’t I telling the truth? The Bai Clan is one of the Seven Major Clans, so if word got out that a side branch elder’s grandson assaulted and then murdered one of their servant's family, how would the public see them? And on top of that, you even want to commit the same act as your vile brother. If the both of you and those lackeys behind you aren’t a disgrace to the Bai Clan, then what should you be called, Saints? Don’t make me laugh.”
Hearing this youth’s words, all the dozen or so Bai Clan members were taken aback, but then their faces morphed into ugly expressions.
They didn’t think this weak-looking brat would dare talk to them like this. As a matter of fact, no one had dared to be so disrespectful to them since they joined the Celestial Academy. They had even forgotten the feeling of being insulted, but this just made the youth’s words enraged them even more.
“Bastard!! Do you want me to cut out your tongue!! How dare you talk to us like that!”
A Bai Clan member stepped out from behind Bai Lu and yelled at the youth as he pointed at his face.
Bai Lu himself was staring at this youth with cold eyes and if one looked closer, it was tinged with murderous intent.
The Blacksmith disciples that had stood protectively in front of the youth saw how angered the Bai Clan members had become. They started to urge the youth to forget about them and not say any more, they were even trying to pull him back behind their burly bodies as well.
However, this small youth that looked no more than 14 or 15 shook his head and shrugged off their attempts to pull him back, and even stepped further out.
He then said, “Senior brothers, thanks for your concern but I don’t fear people like them.”
The youth pointed at Bai Lu’s group before he continued, “All they know how to do is wave their status around, and bully people weaker than them. I’m only a Meridian Opening Realm disciple and yet this Bai Lu is threatening me. Not only is he a failure to his Bai Clan, but even the Sword Pavilion should also feel humiliated to have such a disgusting individual as their member.”
Bai Lu was holding back his anger, as getting into conflict with the Blacksmith disciples when they were so close to their mountain was not an ideal situation for them, but hearing this youth constantly insulting them made his eyes go red.
The youth was standing a few dozen meters away from Bai Lu, but he easily crossed that distance with a single step and appear in front of the youth.
A loud thud echoed out as the youth was sent flying back from a palm strike to his chest.
The venue became silent, as the youth's miserable figure flew through the air, a fountain of blood spraying from his mouth in a dramatic fashion. A few Blacksmith disciples quickly caught his frail and fragile body.
Bai Lu upon seeing this frowned. He hadn’t used any strength in that palm attack for the youth to be so injured. It was only meant to send him flying back, not cough up a gallon's worth of blood.
Bai Lu’s eyes narrowed and several thoughts ran through his head.
All the Blacksmith disciples stare at their fellow disciple with blood at the corner of his lips, and his face extremely pale. It looked as if he was severely injured from Bai Lu’s palm strike.
This caused anger to well up in the Blacksmith disciple’s hearts from seeing one of their own being injured so badly right before their eyes. One rather muscular Blacksmith disciple turn to Bai Lu and barked, “Bai Lu! Who do you think you are hurting our junior brother like this?! Aren’t you going overboard with your actions?! Do you really believe yourselves to be untouchable within the Academy to go around attacking people!!”
Bai Lu's frown deepen before snorted and said, “I barely touch him, he’s faking it.”
The Blacksmith disciples all became even more upset than before because just from looking at the amount of blood the youth had coughed up and his pale face one could immediately tell the palm strike was very strong.
For Bai Lu to now be saying he barely touch him, was completely infuriating!
Was he trying to get away with his actions by blaming the person he just attacked?
The youth who was severely injured slowly rose up with difficulty, and he looked around at his senior brothers and said begrudgingly.
“You see senior brothers, this Bai Lu is nothing more than a foul human being. I expected nothing less from him to attack me and then deny his actions. But this is our fate brothers, to be humiliated by people like them in the Academy and not be able to do anything to him in retaliation.”
As the youth’s word echoed out, a feeling of helplessness washed over the Blacksmith disciples. However, one random Blacksmith disciple in the crowd gritted his teeth, before bellowing out, “Bullshit!! Who do they think they are to touch one of our disciples?! They might be from the Bai Clan but aren’t they just from one of their many side branches?!! Who are they to throw their weight around in the Celestial Academy! My fellow brothers, let’s get revenge for our junior brother by beating the crap out of them! What are they going to do, kill us all in retaliation?! Hahaha, we might not be strong individually or have strong backgrounds, but together with our numbers, we can outmatch anyone with our combined statuses and strength, even a mere grandson of a Bai Clan’s side branch elder!!”
As that disciple’s voice echoed out across the venue, all the Blacksmith disciples felt their blood start to boil. They felt that being a part of something much larger than themselves can give them the confidence to walk around the Academy with their heads held high.
One of the Bai Clan members turn to the youth that had just yelled and while walking up towards him with an angry expression, he said, “Bastard!! What nonsense are you spouting?! Do you think a weakling like you has any right to speak?! You..!”
Before that disciple could finish barking, that youth who had yelled previously, swung out his hand in a perfect arc and smack that Bai Clan member across his face.
“Shut the fuck up! Can’t you see the situation you're in?!”
That Bai Clan member had his vision swam for a moment but after hearing the youth’s words, he turned to look at all the Blacksmith disciples that had now surrounded them some time ago.
Seeing the look in all of their eyes, he nervously took a step back.
The burly Blacksmith disciple who had caught the youth from before, slowly set him down before he turned to Bai Lu and said, “Since you like picking on people weaker than you, then how about you get a taste of your own medicine? We might be weak and easy to bully individually, but with numbers, let's see who will bully who.”
He then slowly stood up, his muscles within his robes twitching as he flex them. His body then gave off an oppressive aura as he walked in Bai Lu’s direction rather intimidatingly.
Bai Lu’s eyes flicker when he felt the power emanating from this disciple. He had long recognized him as Dong Fu, one of the few Blacksmith disciples who was able to reach the top twenty of the Inner Disciple Rankings. But for some unknown reason, he dropped out of the rankings around two years ago, and now no one knew what his strength was, but rumors were going around recently that his power had reached a stage where he was actually strong enough to compete with the top five people on the Inner Disciple Rankings. No, the rumors were even saying he could potentially be even stronger than them.
Bai Lu was only seventh, so he became extremely cautious of Dong Fu.
