“Huff... Huff...”
Mu Fan breathed heavily as he lay on his back while Li Shen stood over him.
Placing the Saber Qi on his shoulder, Li Shen said.
“Alright, that should be enough for me, let’s go find the others.”
Mu Fan groaned at Li Shen’s change in behavior as he was just doing what he wanted. However, he was too exhausted to say anything.
Li Shen push his palm towards a tired Mu Fan and a platform made of Wind Qi was created under him.
As it lifted Mu Fan Li Shen couldn't help but realize something strange. He looked down at his hand in slight surprise.
Li Shen had realized this when conjuring his Qi weapons while fighting Mu Fan, but this just confirms it.
His Heavenly Comprehension had made progress.
But Li Shen was sure from his fragmented memories that he was training it during his daze state.
After thinking for a moment, Li Shen without looking raised his hand to his side and grasped.
His fingers seemed to pull on something in the void as it clench into a fist.
At one moment all was calm but as he grasped towards the void, the entire terrain to his side became chaotic.
SWOOSH!!
Fire Qi, Water Qi, Earth Qi, Wind Qi, Metal Qi, and Wood Qi.
All the six elemental Qi in the world appeared and created a wind storm as they were forcefully pulled towards Li Shen’s hand.
The forest trees swayed violently with some being uprooted. If one was viewing the ground from a high vantage point, they would realize the scope of this Qi Storm was nearly three hundred meters.
Mu Fan’s robes flapped wildly in the winds and he had to snap his head towards the terrifying storm that appeared out of nowhere. Seeing the streams of the various Qi filling the entire world, dyeing it a multicolor hue, he turned to Li Shen completely shocked.
‘I truly thought I had made significant gains during this time, enough to surpass the others and even be a match for this monster, but what is this? If he had used this level of Qi manipulation during our fights, would I even be able to last more than half an incense stick against him without using my Blade Will?’
While Mu Fan was internally in awe of Li Shen's improvements, Li Shen finally turned his head towards the Qi storm he created.
"Is this my max output?’
The power Li Shen was using now was his Heavenly Law cultivation, but slightly different. After he had reached initial comprehension of the six Qi elements he could manipulate the laws within them and subsequently the Qi themselves.
At first, he had the Myriad Soul Creation Art which allowed him to mold his Soul into any shape to carry out better attacks.
But he replaced Soul with Qi, and now he had the ability to construct Qi into any shape he wanted, either a sword, saber, spear or a shield, his imagination was the limit. This gave birth to the Daoist Magic spell his Faceless Hero was known for, the Ten Thousand Myriad Qi Creation Art, Myriad Qi Creation Art for short.
Another thing he did when he combined both, was that instead of having to extend his Divine Will to manipulate the Qi in the surroundings, he need only a thought from his Heavenly Law Comprehension to do so. Thus creating chant-less Daoist Magic.
Right now Li Shen was testing the limit of his Qi Manipulation, and it was around three hundred meters. That was tripling the distance from his once hundred-meter range.
However, his hand began to shake.
‘I can’t sustain this output, I would be more comfortable at around two hundred meters.’
Li Shen’s fist loosened and the torrential streams of Qi quickly settle down, returning to their inactive states.
‘My Qi Manipulation increased because my Heavenly Law Comprehension had made some improvements, but how? The only thing I can think of is my use of the Myriad Qi Creation Art. I must have used it thousands of times to create Qi Weapons and inadvertently increase my comprehension of the laws.’
Li Shen’s eyes began to shine a little. With this, he confirmed that using his Myriad Qi Creation Art had effects on his Heavenly Laws Cultivation. Even though it might be small if built up over time it could snowball into significant gains.
He was starting to appreciate this Daoist Magic he created even more. He hadn't seen himself ever stop using it anytime soon before this, but even more so after this discovery.
Leaving his thoughts, Li Shen then rose into the air and carried Mu Fan along on the platform. Anticipation started to fill his heart when he thought about meeting everyone.
“It’s been over a year of nonstop training, I wonder how they're doing.”
As they hovered over a mountain, Mu Fan asked.
“Wait, how are we going to find the others?”
“Don’t worry, that won’t be a problem.”
Li Shen responded with a relaxed smile.
‘Tai.’
Li Shen tugged on his connection with Tai.
He hadn’t spoken with him ever since he gave him the task of watching over the others, but through their connection, he could feel the changes he was going through. The most noticeable one was how stronger their mental link now was.
‘Yes Master?’
Tai responded quickly.
Even thousands of kilometers away, Li Shen could still speak to him clearly unlike before.
‘How is everyone doing?’
‘Master, the last time I checked on everyone they were doing fine, but two months ago when I was searching for Fang Chen in the territory between the South and East regions, I couldn’t find him.’
Tai said in a concerned tone.
Li Shen’s brows furrowed as he asked himself.
‘Did he teleported out?’
Li Shen then thought back on Fang Chen and his over-competitive personality. If anything he would be the last person Li Shen suspected would leave the Dimension.
‘Gather everyone and meet me in the Western Territory at the Tree Guardian, search for Fang Chen first.’
‘Okay Master.’
After speaking with Tai, Li Shen's worry increased. Mu Fan sensing his unease asked.
“What is it?”
“...It’s Fang Chen, he’s missing.”
Hugging his saber in his arms, Mu Fan replied nonchalantly.
“He's fine. I saw that bastard when I was near the Southern border and we fought.”
Mu Fan’s grip on his saber tighten and his face became ugly before he practically spat out his next words.
“And he beat me, in less than six moves.”
Li Shen raised his eyebrows at that and turned to him.
“How long ago was that?”
“It was a couple of months after we had entered the Dimension, so nearly a year ago.”
“Was he in the Foundation Realm?”
Mu Fan nodded solemnly before saying.
“That bastard, I couldn’t believe he was so strong after just entering the Foundation Realm. And that sword formation he couldn’t stop yapping about, I could only stop six of its nine sword strikes. By the seventh, my Blade Intent was completely overwhelmed by his Slaughter Intent.”
Li Shen hearing nodded his head repeatedly.
That meant Fang Chen had decided to give up on forming all nine Divine Platforms at once. Even though that would mean he wouldn’t be able to fulfill one of the requirements of his master’s Sword Formation, it was still the right choice.
Mu Fan wasn’t finished and he gritted his teeth as he said.
“But that defeat was before I created my own Blade Arts and comprehended the final two stages of Master's Blade Symphony. I won’t lose to him or the others as I am now.”
Li Shen looked at him and thought things should get interesting. He wanted to see how much everyone had improved even more after hearing how stronger Fang Chen became after he resolved his flaw.
He hoped the others had made similar decisions, and his efforts of placing them in each territory weren’t in vain.
Placing Fang Chen’s disappearance at the back of his mind for now, Li Shen said to Mu Fan.
“We’re going to meet Jun first, I haven’t seen him in over a year, but by the strength you showed during our fight don’t be surprised if he beats you in a single blow.”
Mu Fan snapped his head to Li Shen upon hearing that and his eyes go wide. But he quickly calmed down and glared at him before saying.
“Bah! What a load of rubbish, you're just hyping him up because he’s your disciple.”
Li Shen laughed internally, he wasn’t wrong he was just saying that to mess with him.
“Plus, I haven’t shown the full extent of my Blade Intent's growth during our fights. Don’t underestimate me.”
The saber in Mu Fan’s arms trembled as he locked gaze with Li Shen who playfully lifted his eyebrows.
But Li Shen broke the growing tensing by laughing and saying.
“Stop trying to pick a fight you know you won’t win. I know you were holding back in preparation for the others, but it’s nothing to me. In fact, I’m already bored of fighting you, I’d rather fight the others.”
Li Shen then ignored Mu Fan’s sour expression as he turn and shot towards the inner regions of the Western Territory.
He was preparing to see Jun after leaving him at the Avian Palace.
Li Shen suspected Fei Yin to be there as well but he wasn’t sure if he had stuck around. He might have left to train his sword skill somewhere else.
Well, the only way to find out was to get there.
Li Shen’s become extremely eager and his speed increased even more while the platform carrying Mu Fan followed closely behind him.
