Confused.
Baffled.
The more Mo Rong saw the greater his befuddlement became, until it eventually transformed into pure shock.
Swish!
Swish!
Mu Fan’s saber attacked him and he dodged to the side. Fei Yin’s sword then coordinated perfectly and attack him from a blind angle. It was criminal how their attacks were so in-sync.
“Ugh.”
Mo Rong grunted as Mu Fan and Fei Yin made a joint attack that forced him to retreat.
His entire body transformed into black robes that twist and turn in the air as it headed for the throne. His figure soon landed on top of the throne’s steps with his robes fluttering to a stop.
Mu Fan and Fei Yin paused their attacks and moved back towards Li Shen and the others that were approaching.
Mo Rong’s expression was ugly.
His gaze landed on Mu Fan.
‘Impossible!’
He yelled internally, he simply couldn’t help himself. As Mu Fan attacked him with that sheathed saber, his senses told him of its true nature.
‘Blade Will. This person actually developed Blade Will and is even utilizing it like this, this is simply absurd! Which blade genius in the Celestial Realm wouldn’t kill to have such monstrous talent in the saber?’
Mo Rong was one of the young princes of the Qiong Qi Divine Beast race. The Qiong Qi race was powerful among the Divine Beast races, so much so they were given the title, “the Divine Punishers of Gods.”
They had the ability to corrupt the loyal and righteous while spreading their influence of deception and vileness across the Celestial Realm and the entire God Domain. Just one Qiong Qi if left on a planet could raise it and plunge it and even the surrounding solar system entirely into chaos.
When it was done feeding not a strand of life would be found.
With such a terrifying ability and their nature to cause destruction, one could see why they were so feared.
Even though Mo Rong was in fact one of the thousands or rather hundreds of thousands of princes from the Qiong Qi race, his status was extremely high compared to normal exitances. From what he could remember after waking up in this dimension, a genius like Mu Fan that could form Blade Will while having this low level of cultivation would be considered as a terrifying genius that would only appear after hundreds of generations in the Celestial Realm.
But if that was it then Mo Rong wouldn’t feel so shocked, who knows how many geniuses he had met in his long life as a prince. However, it wasn’t just Mu Fan but that sword user and the other followers of this young Godling as well.
Mo Rong‘s gaze landed on Fei Yin.
‘How can a human have this amount of Wood Qi? I sense the aura of a sapling World Tree from him, was he taken over by it? No, it doesn’t look like it rather he seemed to become one himself, just what has he become?!’
Mo Rong wasn’t finished and he turned to Yang Su and Jun.
One had a very strange aura that resembled the aura of the Gods but he obviously didn’t have the bloodline of a God. But the purity of the six elemental laws around him was too strong. So much so that it was influencing Mo Rong, if he could absorb this youth then his cultivation and comprehension of the laws could recover immensely.
The other was one that had received the full inheritance of a Divine Beast.
‘It’s the Kun Peng Divine Beast race.’
Mo Rong thought as he sneered.
The Kun Peng’s race and his Qiong Qi race were mortal enemies since time immemorial.
One was seeking peace and harmony while the other sought destruction and chaos. But although Mo Rong had heard of humans gaining the recognition of Divine Beast races and was given their Beast Legacy, he had never met a human like Jun that seemed a part of the Kun Peng’s race more than human, it was just too strange.
That female as well. Mo Rong sensed strong Water Qi fluctuations from her that were no weaker than the Saintess of the Water God temple.
Mo Rong had memories of only meeting her once, and that was when she was slaughtering her way through his family. Even just remembering that terrifying woman was enough to send shivers down his spine.
The Saintess of the Water God temple at that time had a mutated Water Spiritual Foundation that made her comprehension of the water laws even more terrifying than those with a God’s bloodline. So much so that the Water God temple broke their own rules and practically force her, someone without a God Bloodline, to become the Saintess.
‘It’s small, but there is no mistake that those fluctuations are similar to that Demoness’s own. Is it because she hadn’t yet unlocked it?’
Mo Rong thought that was the case, but if it wasn’t for the fact that he saw the Saintess before he wouldn’t have even recognized she had such a Foundation.
All these people that had talents that could make waves in the Celestial Realm if they were found, were all gathered here in this no-name place. Tucked away in the corner of the Outer Regions of the God Domain that frustratingly have not an ounce of God Qi.
How can Mo Rong not have his heart burst with shock and horror?
And that wasn’t mentioning the oddest one out of the group.
His eyes landed on Li Shen.
‘This young Godling, why is he cultivating like this for? Is he using the mortal human's cultivation method and system to cultivate?’
Mo Rong wasn’t interested in either the humans' or the Gods' cultivation methods but he did know certain things about them.
It was said that the Gods weren’t true Gods but false Gods descended from true Gods. These false Gods in order to reach Godhood created a cultivation method called Martial Cultivation.
With this, they would use their bloodline to unlock a Martial Spirit that would increase their bloodlines and their ability to cultivate to become a true God.
However, the mortal humans were said to have created an inferior cultivation method called Spiritual Qi cultivation. But the truth was, if anyone looked at Martial Cultivation they would realize it was created from Spiritual Qi Cultivation, as they too use Spiritual Qi in the surroundings to cultivate.
In fact, there was a theory that this inferior cultivation system called Spiritual Qi cultivation, was the very first method of cultivation ever created. From it, every other cultivation methods spawn, even the methods used by the Divine Beasts race including Mo Rong’s own. Only instead of Spiritual Qi was their own unique Qi, like his Qiong Qi's dark miasma energy.
Li Shen wasn’t using the false Gods' Martial Cultivation method to cultivate but mortal humans' Spiritual Qi cultivation.
Mo Rong found that extremely odd.
‘Could the speculation I came to after seeing this youth’s memories really be true? Has the Celestial Realm somehow weakened? Why else would these mortals and even this young Godling be so oblivious to it? Their influence should have a reach everywhere in the God Domain. Dammit, just how long was I asleep for this to happen? If not for this persistent brat I could have consumed him whole and then gotten all of his memories.’
Mo Rong cursed internally as he felt the still struggling consciousness of Fang Chen in his mind.
Li Shen and the others saw how Mo Rong was silently glancing at each of them with a solemn expression.
Li Shen didn’t move to attack but stood still. However, if he had known what Mo Rong had thought and even the information he was recalling that sounded like they were from the Primordial Era, he would have immediately dashed over and tried to strangle more information out of him.
He wasn't from the God Era but rather the Primordial Era, which Li Shen desperately need to know about as well. If he could know about the Primordial Era, it would give him clues as to how the God Era ended.
“I have had enough of this.”
Mo Rong suddenly said before he formed a hand seal. The mountain itself began to quake uncontrollably.
“I have no interest in dragging this out, I’ll immediately kill all of you and then leave this Dimension to return to the Celestial Realm.”
Mo Rong sounded arrogant and seemed like he was using more strength to impatiently get this over with, but only he knew that in his heart he had underestimated Li Shen and the others. Their strength was out of his calculations, but no matter how much he planned, how could he have known that so many top geniuses that could cause an uproar in the Celestial Realm would be on this planet, much less gather together to fight him?
Was this truly a coincidence?
Mo Rong didn’t believe it, he had heard stories about those with a purer God bloodline escaping disaster after disaster like they were favored by heaven, even coming out of it with heavenly treasures and mindboggling boosts in cultivation. The good fortune drawn to them could make anyone die of envy.
Li Shen’s heavenly blessings were even more terrifying, as he had managed to gather such outstanding geniuses to become his followers.
Mo Rong was even regretting taking over Fang Chen’s body. He thought he had struck gold by finding such a compatible host, but now he knew it was the heavens playing a trick on him by immediately sending this potential disaster to him.
But Mo Rong wasn’t afraid, even though his power hadn’t been restored to 1/10 of his full power, he had various means to eliminate this young Godling and his followers. Maybe he could turn this potential disaster into his own heavenly fortune.
His mouth immediately began to water at the thought of consuming not only Li Shen but these undeveloped geniuses as well.
This was truly nothing short of a buffet!
