I go to where Eve’s main body is sleeping, deep inside the main building.
As I walk through the building and see the various members of the Kagero Institute, I’m congratulated for conquering the underground ruins. Apparently the now much bigger Seilook is drawing a lot of attention outside. I can actually see it through the window from here.
Seilook is surrounded by people, and looks pretty happy.
Every time Seilook spreads its big wings people cheer.
I should finish what I have to do without delay.
I step in front of the room where Eve’s main body is sleeping, and release the repulsion field. It’s basically a simplified version of what was in the Alchemist Association. Eve itself has self-defense functions, so there’s no need to set-up a high degree of security.
I enter the room, and see exposed ground in its center, with the ‘bamboo shoot’ transmuted beast enshrined in it.
Eve became gigantic and transformed into a town, and all of it is connected to the rhizome. The ‘bamboo shoot’ growing out of this rhizome is Eve’s main body, that controls this entire town.
And around Eve, I set up magic items at regular intervals to assist in converting the magic elements from the magic barrier, so Eve can maintain this town.
I walk between them and approach Eve, before saying the activation phrase.
“『Wake up』 Eve.”
Arms and legs sprout out of Eve.
It pulls itself from the ground, and waves these arms and legs. It’s like it’s tired from sleeping too long.
Behind Eve, a thick rhizome stretches below the ground. It looks like a giant tail, or a pipe.
My alchemist eyes can see the large amount of magic elements coming and going through this pipe.
After eve finally finishes its warm up exercises, I ask it to expand the buildings.
I need something for Seilook, since it’s gotten bigger, and although I don’t like it, we need a building for Princess Lily too.
Princess Lily’s building is going to have to be a place fit for royalty to stay in. I can’t just make a hut.
“Make it as luxurious as you can, even if it’s just how it looks. Well, we could just use it as a guest house when she leaves… She is leaving, isn’t she?”
I say to myself, and feel a bit uneasy.
Eve ignores this look on my face, and raises its hands, which is followed by a rumbling in the ground. It’s caused by the vibrations that accompany a new bamboo building sprouting from the ground.
Eve spins its hands, crosses its arms, and the rumbling stops.
It then tilts the tip of its bamboo sprout.
“Thank you Eve, that will do. 『Sleep』.”
I wave my hand to say goodbye, and Eve returns to the ground, while its limbs withdraw.
“Ahh… I guess I’ll go back.”
I sigh and try to motivate myself as I head outside.
