Before Rose’s vines close, I can see the hole in the air is still there, but the vine sphere around me is soon complete and all gaps are covered.

It’s completely dark, but I can tell what’s going on by the vibrations and noise.

I’ve been pushed into the cave’s wall along with Rose’s vines, and I’m still moving as we are pushed inside the wall.

“Rose, I’m sorry, but try to hold.”

I try to bend my body as best as I can to reduce the strain on Rose as much as possible by becoming smaller.

The less surface area Rose has to cover with its vines, the lower the strain should be.

I hear vines being ripped off due to friction, and the new ones coming out of the scroll next to me being scraped too.

I hear the sound of the rocky surface around us being scraped too, but there are also other sounds, that I’ve never heard before, echoing through the darkness.

“Hey hey. Didn’t Zwei have restrictions…”

I complain without even thinking.

A vine comes up beneath my hand and wraps around my finger.

“Rose…”

I focus on what I have to do now, and I remember something.

I quickly tell Rose, and fumble around to take out additional scrolls.

“《Multiple Activation》, 《Manifest》 Rose.”

Vines come out of more scrolls, and they also cover me.

I’m now inside a double layered sphere of vines.

“Now! Rose!”

The outer layer grows thorns and starts spinning.

The hard thorns carve the rocky surface around the sphere as they turn.

I can hear the sphere gaining speed as it scrapes the surface, and I stop hearing vines being torn off.

But then, the vine around my finger tightens.

It’s a signal. Rose undoes the vine sphere around me, and I can suddenly see the light of the sun.

It looks like we made it to the surface, and the pressure of the repulsive field is gone too.

I grab Rose’s vines for support, since we were propelled a bit high when we surfaced, and Rose slowly puts me down.
