“New skill 『Weakening』…”

I whisper as Ahri and I ride on Seilook’s back and I look at the 《Transcribe》 scroll I’m using to check her status.

“Is it because I drank that assimilating medicine? And Master Rust, almost there.”

“Ah, yes.”

I put away the 《Transcribe》 scroll.

Ahri’s pulse became a little faster just before we took off, but I didn’t see any other abnormalities.

“So, 『Weakening』 skill. I think you’re probably right, Ahri. Even the name feels like it has to do with the 『Weakest』.”

“Yes. That’s three skills now…”

Ahri looks pensive while counting on her fingers.

『Ground Running』, 『Heaven’s Judgment』, and now『Weakening』.

This is just conjecture, but I’m thinking that Ahri acquired a skill when she drank Rihalzam’s assimilating medicine, and it was lying dormant.

And I think it’s safe to assume that the other one comes from her ancestors.

Ahri isn’t saying anything about this, probably intentionally, but I think she’s reached the same conclusion.

Is 『Heaven’s Judgment』 the one that came from Rihalzam’s assimilating medicine? His was kind of an unholy existence.

Seilook starts to descend in the meantime, flying close to where the Weakest Seventh Seat was.

◇◆

“This is awful…”

It’s a terrible sight.

Bodies of monsters burned by purifying light and with parts of their bodies missing cover the ground, and the sky that was filled with them is now completely clear.

“It looks like some got away.”

Says Ahri, as she also looks around. I don’t know how she reached that conclusion, but I don’t have the chance to ask.

“Master Rust, it’s the Weakest Seventh Seat.”

Says Ahri while pointing to the Weakest Seventh Seat, who is still being burned by purifying light.

“Ahri, watch out. Something doesn’t feel right!”

The head that looks like a fly has already burned off, but the body is standing on two legs, and even walks towards us.

Not to mention that it’s walking casually like it’s strolling beneath a warm spring sun.

The purifying light is covering the entirety of the Weakest Seventh Seat’s body, even replacing the wings on its back.

It then spreads said wings and takes off.

“Master Rust! Get behind me!”

Ahri envelops her spear in her red skill, and gets between me and the Weakest Seventh Seat.

And then, many scales of purifying light are spread from the Weakest Seventh Seat above.

“Eh? Wasn’t it a fly?”

I say in response to that unexpected attack.

But Ahri calmly raises her spear with both hands, and spins it over her head, blowing away the pale scales with the red light of the spear.

“Master Rust, we have no choice but to take it down. You don’t have a problem with that, I assume.”

Ahri looks back, seeking confirmation.
