“Ahh… Good grief.”
The points and the divine protection in Zwei’s hands disappear, before Zwei starts rubbing its arms in a very human-like way.
I watch it without letting my guard down, and press it while making a conscious effort not to raise my voice.
“Hurry up.”
“Yes, all right all right.”
Zwei limply waves one hand, before putting both hands together and cracking its fingers.
I know Zwei’s sound based divine protection won’t work in these circumstances, but I still brace myself when it does that.
But Zwei pays no attention to what I’m doing, and brings its hands back close to its body, while keeping them together.
The shine on Zwei’s purifying light hands intensifies, and both hands begin to swell.
I see something appear inside them.
It’s King Kalzart’s body. Zwei’s hands are now big enough to cover that whole body, and they come down until they touch the floor.
Then the hands shrink back to their normal size, and leave King Kalzart’s body lying on the floor.
It’s like he died just a second ago.
“See? The old blood. Do you want to check?”
“No, bring out the rest first.”
“Good grief. Then next is that woman’s divine protection and the points. Come get them.”
Zwei moves its fingers, gesturing for me to come closer.
I look at Taula, and she looks back at me.
Taula looks wary, and shakes her head slightly. I nod in return.
Getting too close would obviously be dangerous. Who knows what Zwei might do. Thinking back to how quickly I can rip Zwei’s body apart… I might be too late if it does decide to do something.
“At the very least, I can’t return the divine protection if its owner isn’t here, can I? Good grief. Then I will throw both. Can you catch them?”
“All right. What do you think, Taula?”
“Yes, no problem.”
Taula and I look at each other again, and the points box and Taula’s divine protection appear again in Zwei’s hands.
“Here you go.”
Zwei moves both arms to throw them with an underhand throw, sending both Taula’s divine protection and the points box flying into the air.
But one more thing, something thin and cylindrical, leaves Zwei’s hands.
