I’m standing on high ground that overlooks the coastline.

Down there, mermen emerge from the sea one after the other. They’re underlings of the Demon King of the Deep Seas, the First Seat of Delusion.

Mermen holding weapons that seem made out of giant seashells line up as they fill the coastline, and Kalin, who is standing next to me, looks at them with a fiery gaze.

“Lady Kalin.”

It’s a messenger wearing a semi-formal attire, who gives Kalin a brief report.

“All right, I understand.”

The messenger leaves, and I talk to Kalin.

“I’m guessing everything’s ready.”

“Yes. A full mobilization of the army of the Admiral dominion.”

“What about Queen Lily?”

“Fufufu. I sent a message saying that if the army of the Admiral dominion defeats the Demon King of the Deep Seas alone, we will take the rights to the sea. I’m so glad I was one of the great four. I’m sure they’re rushing to put together an army right now.”

Kalin says with a smile.

Well, from an outsider’s point of view, considering how many demons we’ve defeated, it definitely looks favorable for us.

“Right to the sea? Are you really going to hog it all to yourself, Kalin?”

“Fufufu, at the very least, that’s what I’m going to make them think. But I have to thank you, Rust. The First Seat of Delusion is coming out of the sea for the first time in a thousand years. It’s a once in a lifetime chance. Marvelous.”

Kalin has a really villainous look on her face.

Good grief, I think as I shake my head.

“I probably shouldn’t be saying this to you, but we’re not a hundred percent sure that we’ll win.”

“Fufu, where did that come from, Rust? How many demons have you defeated by yourself?”

“It wasn’t by myself, and there were a lot of other factors involved too.”

“Good grief, it’s all the same thing. You take all the glory for defeating demon kings, and our army gets impatient. Then again, that means they’re raring to go. Aren’t you!?”

Kalin yells to the people lined up behind us, and their shouts and yells feel like an earthquake.

The hill overlooking the coastline is filled with people.

The army of the Admiral dominion has been steadily developing, starting from the sales of magic crystals. Now they stand here, clad in matching armor paid for by the ample assets of the Admiral dominion.

I see a lot of faces I recognize among those men and women, whose armor clangs along with their battle cries.

Kalin raises one hand, and everyone falls silent.

Of course, she also has perfect control over them.

Kalin looks this way, and declares.

“Well then, get ready too, Rust. It looks like that’s the First Seat of Delusion.”

I follow Kalin’s instructions and start taking out scrolls.
