I touch Rose’s vines that are completely wrapped around me, after it protected me from the blast.

Then I check the parts that are scorched. Rose has received some of my power, and its vines cover the ‘detached office of the Kagero Institute’, but even it doesn’t escape unharmed from the power of the divine protection potion.

“Hm… We’re going to have to prune this.”

I whisper, and that vine is quickly pulled away. I can’t help but smile at how despite everything, Rose still hates pruning.

I move my eyes from that vine to Eve.

“Sorry to keep you waiting Eve. Go for it.”

I tell Eve, who has received the power of divine protection through its scroll. It responds by holding the commanding staff high.

The commanding staff then starts glowing with a crimson light, like it can just barely contain it.

“Activate 『backdoor』. Deactivate Eve’s 『general mode』. Shift to 『Embodiment of divine will paladin mode』.”

The crimson divine protection light from Eve’s commanding staff stretches high up, and begins to flatten.

It’s like the blade of a sword.

The red divine protection light takes the form of a knight’s sword, but much bigger.

Eve slowly brings the sword down, and holds it horizontally in front of its face.

The bamboo shoot army that’s still covering this area starts being painted crimson, along with Eve.

And as the ground is being painted in this red light, the bamboo shoot army gathers near Eve.

The nearest bamboo shoots assemble on the ground, and the others that were further away throw each other to add to the already big pile.

Every single bamboo shoot sticks as close as possible to the others in this red divine protection mountain, before they all combine with Eve.

What stands in front of me now is a majestic paladin clad in crimson divine protection light holding a giant sword.

The many bamboo shoots have made Eve a lot bigger, and as it points its sword at Seilook, it jumps like it’s making its giant body dance.
