Arriving at La Guardia Airport after a long almost 15 hours flight Arriane still can't get over the scene that she witnessed at the Ninoy International Airport. She can still feel goose bumps everytime she remember that old man.
She's been used to seeing dead bodies, but this is the first time that she feels weird seeing an old man who's still alive, but gave her a different kind of feeling, like she's already looking at a dead body whose asking her for help or something.
Morgana, her sister notice her silence. She nudge her elbow and asked her if she's okay.
Arriane : hmm yeah I'm good, I just can't get over with the incident earlier at the airport. Arriane answered her sister truthfully, telling her about the things that bothered her.
Morgana : come on..... forget about it sis!!! you don't even know that old man.... look at yourself, you don't look good, your face looks like it's been soak in a vinegar for so long. it's as white as paper!!!
Arriane : ah..... don't worry, I'm fine I'll just sleep later at the taxi.
Morgana : you sure??? don't you want me to drop us to a nearby hospital first before we go home???
Arriane : no.... I'll be fine.... stop worrying too much...... as she said that, she pulled her luggage again and walk out of the airport, she immediately hailed a taxi and went back home with her sister.....
It's been a long journey, returning to Brooklyn used to give her a new strength, feeling like the dusty air of Brooklyn gives her a boost....
As they traveled back home, her sister Morgana asked the driver to stop the car in front of the pharmacy,
she hurriedly went out and bought some energy booster , drinks and food for Arriane. She quickly went back and asked the driver again to continue driving.
Morgana : eat all this first then this energy booster. we need to get your color back to normal or else mom would be worried sick about you....
Arriane obediently took the food wrapper and opened it, taking a bite she remembered that she haven't eaten for almost two days, since they left Kaytambog due to too much apprehension and worries...
