Chapter 35 - New Mission 3

As they reach the camp site of Mikhael, he introduced Arriane to everyone as a journalist. Mikhael's wife knew about Arriane's mission but she didn't say a word. She approached Arriane with her son in tow and talk to Arriane about the mission. She introduced herself to Arriane and her son Karim.

Mikhael's wife who's name is Karima is a native of Taliban, she was born and grew up there and met Mikhael when she went to the market with her father.

Mikhael save her from the bandits who trie to molest her. Since that day, they became friends and eventually married and now they are bless with a handsome son , Karim.

Arriane took a bar of chocolate from her backpack and gave it to Karim., after that he run away holding the chocolate bar in his hand and frantically yelling to all his friends.

Karima smiled shyly at Arriane because of her son's innocent behavior. She then gave Arriane some bread and freshly brewed coffee .

Karima : here drink some coffee, it is freshly brewed and the bread is freshly baked too. it is our country's bread that most people are familiar.

Arriane accept the cup of coffee and bread, she then ask Karima if they don't have any plans to leave the place.

Arriane : thank you... Karima, don't you have any plans to leave this place? your son is growing and he needs a change of environment and also... he needs to study.

Karima : i would love to...... but there's no opportunity for us to leave this place. We can't just pack our bags and leave everyone behind. My husband has a duty here, as the leader. He needs to protect his people. If we leave??? what would happen to all the people living here???

This is a dangerous place, every day those taliban group of terrorist people pass by here. If my husband is not here, they would surely kill every men here and raped every women.
