Chapter 40 - New Mission 7

As she was about to kicked the door open, one of the door on the right side of the tunnel open up and a man with a long barreled gun came out. The man look surprise at seeing Arriane, he lifted his gun and fired at her.

Arriane dived on the rocky ground and roll trying to avoid the bullets from hitting her, she then throw the swiss blade knife at the man hitting him on his forehead.

The blade of the knife goes through his head. The man stubled backwards as he fell down flat on his back with blood oozing out from the wound on his forehead.

The man inside the room with the flickering light from the oil lamp were alarmed by the gun shots, he walk to the door and peek on the hole, just as Arriane pulled out the knife from the man's head ,and dashed inside the open room, where the dead man came out earlier.

Seeing one of his man's dead body , just outside the room where he's at, the man became vigilant.

He opened the door of the room and step out, looking around and searching for clues. He noticed the open door at the right side of the tunnel ,he cautiously walk near the door. He listened carefully, while Arriane is trying to hold her breath ,hiding behind the open door.

Bam..... the man kicked the door while aiming a flashlight inside the dark room.

Arriane rolled on the ground ,as she pulled the gun tucked in her waist band and shot at the man on the door. The man was hit on his chest, but still alive. He suddenly lunged at Arriane, trying to take the gun from her.

Arriane fought back, the man is very strong. Despite of being hit with a bullet on his chest he can still easily manipulated and counter Arriane's every move.

Blood flowed out from the bullet hole on his chest. Arriane gave him a flying kick hitting him right on his face.

The man staggered trying to regain his balance ,but before he could finally recovered his instance Arriane jump on him as she wrapped her legs on his neck. She stangled the man to death breaking his neck on the process.....

Arriane came out of the room, she can leave now. Her mission here is finished. But thinking of the American soldier held hostage inside the room, she changed her mind about leaving.

She walk straight into the room with the flickering light from an oil lamp. The man is unconscious and his hands are tied on the chair he is sitting at.

He untied him and pulled the gag on his mouth before she wake him up.

Arriane : hey... wake up... she tap the man's cheek lightly.
