Chapter 50 - Ambushing The Taliban Terrorist 2

Arriane laughed as she walked away, leaving Andrew and Jarren amused at her antics. They didn't know if she's being serious when she said that.

Jarren: hmmm that woman is quite interesting.

Everyone continues working, the sun is on its peak hours and it's burning hot in the desert.

Jarren help Andrew laid out bombs, totally forgetting that he is the commander of a squad. Instead, he acted like he's just one of Arriane"s subordinates.

Andrew: Boss.... don't you find her quite domineering for a woman? Andrew asks testing his commander's reaction.

Jarren: hmm??? Jarren looks at Andrew, he knows what he meant and what he's trying to do.

Go on with your work. it's too hot and you still find the time to ask nonsense questions??? Jarren said scowling at Andrew.

Andrew continues what he's doing in a sullen mood.

When they are done setting traps and land mines, they drink cold tea while waiting for the coming of the Taliban groups of terrorists.

They were talking about the camp back at the mountains when they hear the sound of approaching vehicles and helicopters.

Arriane: Here they come..... she said as she runs In the forefront of their group aiming her grenade launcher on the oncoming vehicles.

Andrew jumped down at the pit Mikhael's men dig earlier.

Arriane: what are you doing??? why did you jump in that pit???

Andrew: taking for a good cover... what else???

Arriane: ah..... stupid..... she murmured.

Do you think that if they dropped a grenade in that pit, you can still call it a good cover?

Mikhael's man tried not to laugh, Jarren looks at him as if telling him that he is the most stupid soldier in his cavalry.

Andrew hurriedly climbed out of the pit as one of the men help him out.

From afar they can see dust and sand as the vehicles drew near the land mines.
