Chapter 65 - Failed Mission 2

After more an hour of waiting for Arriane's flight, she finally heard the call for her flight-ready for boarding. She stands up and walked to the line with the other passengers when the airport security staff walked over to her side and help her passed the gate to board the plane ahead of others while the other passengers scowled at her and at the airport security staff who helped her.

Meanwhile, the man who left the bags with bombs was caught in a roadblock by the Afghanistan police. The driver of the getaway van died on the spot, while the man who lives the bags with bombs at the airport we're caught and taken into custody.

The man admitted the crime of leaving the bags with bombs at the airport and also admit that he is one of the ISIS, the group of terrorist involves in bombing.

Arriving back to La Guardia airport Arriane hailed a cab to send her back to her apartment, upon reaching her apartment she received a call from Martin.

Martin: hey sweetie!!! how's your trip???

Arriane: Not so good, there is an ISIS bomber at the airport. The man from the bomb disposal units is not familiar with the wiring of the bombs so I have to lend a hand.

Martin: oh... Sweetie, I'm glad you're back now safe and sound, go have a rest. I am sure you are very tired and exhausted from all the traveling and fighting not to mention the bomb matters. When you get enough rest come visit me and David. By the way, your mom Simone and your twin sister are asking about you.

Arriane: Okay, I need to wash up and get some sleep, I'll call you when I woke up. bye

Arriane hung up the phone after saying goodbye to her adoptive father, she also missed her mom and her twin sister but right now what she needed is some sleep and rest.

She decided to visit her mom and her sister at their apartment once she's fully rested. She also needed to see her uncle David and her dad Martin. She knew that Martin has something important to tell her, that's why he called her.

The next day, Arriane visits her dad and uncle David before she visits her mother.

Arriane: Hey... Dad... Uncle... Arriane greeted her Dad and her uncle as she walked in inside her uncle's office. She sat down on a couch as her Dad, Martin poured some coffee and offered it to her.

David: Arriane...... I'm happy to see you back, your Dad told me that you had a bad experience in your flight. hmmm, I know that you're used to that kind of thing, but it's still troublesome when it happens when you least expect it.

Anyway, I asked your Dad to call you and asked you to come over here. I receive a new mission, and I am contemplating if I should let you handle it knowing you're still tired from your latest mission.

Arriane: so??? what am I doing here then???

David: I know that you are tired, but since you are my niece and you're like a daughter to me, I still want to ask for your opinion about this mission. The mission is quite dangerous like your past missions, so I want you to decide if you want to take it or not...
