It was just target practice, no big deal.

Chloe and Qin Huaibei made an appointment to give him tutoring lessons later.

After Qin Huaibei left satisfied, the vampire squadron also returned to the finish line.

After a period of training, they can now easily complete the 5 km run without ending up like dead fish flopping on the ground. On the contrary, they all look refreshed and are standing upright.

Anderson murmured in response without saying anything, giving off an inexplicably lonely feeling.

Finally Chloe couldn't stand it and recounted the whole thing from start to finish.

"I see." Anderson's emerald eyes were filled with a hint of smile, "Can I come along then?"

Chloe: "Whatever."

Anderson's lips hooked up into a smile.

A few days passed, the vampire and human cubs were the first batch of first-year students who made it to the dormitories and cafeteria by completing the 5km run under 23 minutes.

The senior students stopped in unison, then retracted their gazes.

- This cub looks quite cute, just didn't expect her to be so vicious in a fight.

Chloe was oblivious to their thoughts. She wondered aloud: "What are they looking at me for?"

Anderson answered casually while leisurely cutting his steak: "They think you look good."

Hearing this, Chloe scoffed: "At least they have good taste."

She lowered her head to grab two ribs, then frowned and looked up.

Sure enough, someone was leaning against the railing on the third floor looking at them.

It was Edmund.

Chloe didn't like this person. The red light in her eyes grew thicker as killing intent surged.

Catching her gaze, Edmund hurriedly pulled his head back in.

"Coward," Chloe snorted.

Anderson slowly wiped his mouth with a napkin: "He's coming down now."

Chloe paused abruptly: "What? He still dares to come down?"

Anderson nodded.

What was there to dare for Edmund? Getting close with Chloe would be the biggest boost in his life if successful. How could he miss this opportunity? Anderson lowered his eyes, hiding a flash of viciousness.

Sure enough, soon Edmund appeared before them.

Seeing Anderson and Chloe dining together, a hint of jealousy flashed through Edmund's eyes: "....You two seem rather close?"

"Whether we are close or not, what's it got to do with you?" Chloe put down her cutlery and crossed her arms, looking up, "What are you here for?"

Shouldn't the unpleasant parting last time have given Edmund enough of a lesson?

The smile on Edmund's face was flawless: "The food on the third floor is great. There's piano music and private rooms too. Miss Chloe, would you like to take a look?"

Chloe gave him an odd look: "I think the first floor is good enough."

Hearing this, Edmund glanced around at the crowded students eating noisily around them, a smug expression on his face: "Miss Chloe is joking of course. There are so many people here and the environment is chaotic. For your status, you should naturally dine on the third floor."

As his voice trailed off, silence descended around them.

It was only after chewing on her straw for some time that Chloe finally chuckled and said,

"What do the rest of you think about this classmate seeing everyone dining on the first floor as beneath him?"
