Before Chloe could get a clear look at what the mummy looked like, Xavier and Anderson, on either side, immediately cut the thing in half.

Daniel, a beat behind, startled:

"What the hell was that noise?"

"Nothing," said Qin Huaibei as he walked out of the elevator, then kicked the mummy away.

Daniel persisted: "What do you mean nothing?"

Chloe passed by him and said slowly:

"There was a mummy hanging there."

Hearing this, Daniel was shocked.

Before he could stammer out a response, Chloe added:

"Don't be afraid, my dad and Anderson have already taken care of it."

Daniel, clutching a flashlight he'd pulled from who knows where, shone the light and saw the mummy lying on the ground, instantly breaking out in goosebumps.

"Damn, what's wrong with the old Alpha? Putting something like this in the lab!"

Chloe frowned, feeling something wasn't quite right.

Was this underground laboratory still in use? If so, why was there a mummy?

What was the purpose of a mummy in the lab?

She didn't understand.

Just then, Xavier found the power switch for the underground lab. When the switch was flipped, cold white light flooded down, nearly blinding them.

"Ugh—" Daniel covered his eyes, slightly uncomfortable.

Chloe was fine; she could adapt perfectly to both day and night.

Once the power was on, the full view of the underground laboratory was exposed before them.

Apart from the out-of-place mummy at the elevator door, the rest of the underground laboratory seemed normal.

Clean and tidy, with items on the desk arranged meticulously, spotless.

Top-notch experimental equipment and books and notes everywhere, all indicating that people frequented this place.

So, what exactly was the Werewolf Race doing in this underground laboratory?

Without a word, Chloe walked straight to the lab bench and began searching thoroughly.

What she found was shocking.

The books and notes here clearly documented the entire process of human experimentation and genetic modification techniques.

Chloe's eyes narrowed as she handed her findings to Xavier.

Although they had long suspected such nefarious activities were happening behind the scenes, hearing about it and seeing it firsthand were entirely different.

The notes detailed the brutal process of werewolves, humans, elves, and vampires being tortured and killed.

Chloe nodded: "Very well."

The dagger pierced through the researcher's index finger.

"Aaaaah—"

Chloe's expression remained unchanged, as if she were stabbing an uncivilized pig, and continued the torture.

Next was the middle finger, ring finger, little finger.

After piercing all five fingers on the left hand, Chloe moved to the right.

Starting with the thumb, she stabbed through each finger one by one.

Blood flowed everywhere, yet such wounds were not fatal, only prolonging the agony.

Chloe looked up and said flatly: "Still not willing to talk?"

"Alright."

She brought the researcher's five fingers together, switching to a very thin, long knife, preparing to pierce through the side of his fingers in one go.

As the cold blade touched his skin, the researcher shuddered, unable to bear it any longer, crying and howling for mercy.

Unfortunately, with his jaw dislocated, no matter how much he begged, he couldn't form meaningful words.

In the end, it was his desperate struggle that caught Chloe's attention.

The thin, long knife stopped, and Chloe smiled:

"Ready to talk?"

The researcher, shaking, nodded timidly.

Seeing this, Chloe finally withdrew the knife and took half a step back.

Seeing her move away a bit, the researcher finally relaxed, only to be dragged forward a few steps by Xavier.

He raised his mangled hand and tapped a few times on the recording equipment.

The next moment, the muffled sound of the machine starting up was heard, and the recording equipment was finally opened.

Daniel clicked his tongue nearby, admiring: "Brutal enough, Chloe."

Qin Huaibei applauded: "Living Hell King, that's you alright."

Chloe snorted, tossing the bloodied dagger to Anderson, gesturing for him to clean it.

After receiving the cold, blood-stained dagger, Anderson frowned, looking at the trembling researcher with disgust before turning to find a faucet to start washing the dagger.

Meanwhile, Xavier released the researcher and tapped on the recording equipment with one hand.

In the next instant, the screen was replaced by a sea of red.

Everyone was startled, but upon closer inspection, they realized that what was recorded in this equipment was clearly the citizens who had been victimized in the laboratory!

Fresh red blood and stark white bones, along with viscous, greasy organs.

Piercing screams and curses, with occasional appearances of vipers.

It constructed a bloody scene of hell on earth.
