Chloe was held down as she continued to undergo examination.

After confirming that the toxins in her body had been completely cleared, she went wild with excitement.

No longer short-lived, and more importantly, no longer falling asleep at random times or having to force her eyes open during training and missions.

This feeling was just... too amazing!

Chloe snuck out of her room in the middle of the night and went on a three-day-and-night bender. Xavier, along with hundreds of Vampire soldiers, couldn't find her anywhere.

In the end, it was only when Chloe got bored of her escapades and suddenly reappeared on the large bed in her room that this incident finally came to a close.

Xavier was so angry he nearly took a whip to her.

But someone who had just recovered from a serious illness knew how to put on a pitiful face to gain sympathy from her daddy.

In the end, as expected, that whipping never fell upon Chloe's head.

But Chloe was actually still quite bored.

The old doctor said she had a few weeks of recovery period ahead, during which she must lie in bed and rest well.

However, Chloe couldn't stay idle. Unable to go out and play, she called her buddies over to play cards and compare hand sizes.

They even played the simplest card game of Cat and Mouse.

All in all, she managed to pass the time quite happily.

Ever since Chloe recovered, Daniel had been playing even more wildly.

He had stayed in Vampire territory for who knows how long, neglecting his duties to his own Werewolf Race.

For instance, during one of their card games, a subordinate from the Werewolf Race sent a video call:

"Your Majesty, you haven't returned to our territory to handle affairs for exactly seven days!"

Daniel, holding his cards, replied carelessly:

"What's the point of the professional political team I hired for three million if they can't handle things? They're already earning such a huge salary, and they still need me to go back and help? Dream on!"

With that, Daniel played his last card:

"Royal Flush! Hahahahaha!"

The Werewolf subordinate on the other end: "..."

Chloe, feeling a bit guilty for causing Daniel to neglect his duties by playing cards with her, said:

"Maybe you should go back for now, at least make an appearance. You are the newly appointed Werewolf King after all."

Daniel pouted: "What, are you starting to dislike me now?"

Chloe: "...?"

She replied irritably: "Yeah, yeah, yeah, so you'd better leave my sight right now, immediately."

Daniel immediately stormed off in a huff.

About three weeks later, Chloe finally announced her complete discharge from the hospital.

The first thing she did was rush to The No.1 Military Academy to visit her "son" and "daughter".

After having a good scuffle with them, Chloe put them through some hellish training.

Little Three stood at the side, proudly watching these Vampire students. Its numerous beady eyes stared intently, occasionally facing the deliberate glares from the students.

"Then I'll assign a few troops from the Vampires to you, at your disposal."

Before Katherine could refuse, Chloe showed off the Life Heart pendant on her neck, grinning:

"Consider it a thank-you gift for giving me this treasure."

Katherine: "..."

After a long while, she sighed helplessly: "Alright."

Chloe gave Katherine the tiger tally for commanding troops, personally selecting several elite units to give her, letting her take these back to the Elf Race.

After Katherine left, Chloe understood.

The continent was likely about to undergo a major change.

Chloe, who had lent out troops without prior approval, belatedly realized something wasn't quite right. So she climbed from the bottom floor of the mansion to the third floor in one swift motion.

She vaulted over the railing, landing silently.

Chloe opened the office door, about to confess all her actions with a guilty conscience, when she saw an unexpected figure in the office.

— Anderson.

She blinked, closed the door, and openly walked from the entrance to Xavier's side. She started munching on sunflower seeds while staring at Anderson below.

Xavier: "..."

He patted Chloe's hand: "You're quite at ease, aren't you?"

Chloe grinned at him carelessly, then continued eating sunflower seeds.

Seeing that she was quietly behaving herself, Xavier stopped paying attention to her and looked at Anderson opposite him:

"Are you sure you want to nationalize this trading association?"

Anderson lowered his eyes: "Yes."

Chloe's seed-cracking slowed down, her face puzzled:

"What trading association?"

She thought for a moment, then exclaimed in shock: "It couldn't be Mosby!"

Xavier nodded slightly:

"Have you thought it through?"

"If nationalized, the profits the Mosby Trading Association brings to the race will be immeasurable, but at the same time, you will lose some control over the association. Can you accept that?"

Anderson replied neither humbly nor arrogantly: "I can."

"Your conditions."

Xavier didn't believe in free lunches.

Precisely because he understood the value of the Mosby Trading Association, he would be more cautious in deciding on this matter.

Hearing this, Anderson raised his head, but he wasn't looking at Xavier, but at Chloe:

"This lowly one hopes that the Ancestor Lord can bless the union between myself and the young miss."

Instantly, a deathly silence fell over the office.

Chloe choked on a sunflower seed, coughing for quite a while.

Whew, this was truly unexpected.
