The aftermath

“There, there, Shiina-chan… There’s nothing for you to be afraid about anymore.”

“R-R-Rinka-sama… If you touch me, you’ll get infected with my gloominess and introvertedness…!”

“Umm, the whole misunderstanding has been cleared up, right…?”

In the infirmary, Rinka was tightly embracing Shiina.

Shiina was flustered and her eyes were swimming about at the fact that she was so close to Rinka, a girl from the top of the school caste.

Thankfully, the misunderstanding was somehow cleared up, and I was found not guilty.

Also, Shiina, don’t get fooled by her.

“Uhehehe… Shiina-chan, you’re so tiny and cute… I just want to take you home with me…”

Rinka’s blatantly putting her ulterior motives on display as she’s hugging you, though you may not even realize this.

However, despite being nervous, Shiina also seemed to be overjoyed, so I guess I shouldn’t mention it.

“So, I guess you weren’t that badly injured, right Ritsuki? But to think the girl who hit that smash straight towards your face isn’t even bothering to check on you…”

“Well, I’m sure she’ll at least apologize to him once he returns to the classroom… right?”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she prostrates herself before Suda-kun. I’m sure you like having girls prostrate themselves before you, right Suda-kun? That’s why Rinka-san, you’re better off not taking an interest in him―”

“Hey, stop trying to make me look like some sort of despicable boy.”

For some reason, Shiina started trying to spread false information about me.

I guess she really does hate me, after all.

“Wow Ritsuki, I didn’t know you were that low of a person. I’ll prostrate myself for you, so don’t go forcing other girls to do so, okay…?”

“You believe her?! Do I really come across as that sort of person?!”

Despite the two of them having contrasting personalities, they seemed to be in perfect harmony when it came to making fun of me.

Rinka was a really good person on the inside, and she was certainly reliable, so I’d love to entrust her with Shiina.

In fact, she doesn’t even have friends in the first place, so please be her friend, Rinka.

Perhaps it was the nature of those who had little sisters, but these sorts of doting thoughts began to grow within me.

“But if I really had to, I’d rather prostrate myself to Shiina-chan… Ahh, I really want Shiina-chan to step on me~.”

“Huh? W-Why…?”

“Shiina, if you plan on becoming her friend then I suggest ignoring what she just said. Just think of it as her asking you for a massage or something.”

I just can’t hand my daughter over to this girl.

Rinka just loses herself whenever she sees a cute girl.

Well, that being said, Shiina seems to be somewhat of a sadist… Perhaps the two of them make a perfect match…?

Will the two of them be able to overcome the differences in their school and personal lives…?

Damn, I really want to read this kind of plot in a book!

While suppressing my inner twisted desire for yuri, I decided to leave them and return to the classroom since my nose had stopped bleeding.

~~~
“Ah, Kitarou, I’m sorry about what happened! My arm slipped, you know~?”
“No, that’s not how things work. Don’t be a monster.”
“Pfft, the heck? Haha, you’re so funny when you talk!”
I retorted at the girl who hit me with the shuttlecock, Minagawa, before heading back to my seat.
When I returned to my seat, I found a strange note protruding from the inside of my desk.
I had a bit of a bad premonition as I opened the message.
“Hey, pal! You should tell me how Shiina-san’s chest felt later!”
“From your dear friend, Kaminogi.”
I looked over at Kaminogi and he looked at me and stuck his thumb up in the air with a big smile on his face.
Hah, I guess I’ve got no other choice…
It’s definitely not because I was overjoyed to be called a “friend” or anything like that, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to share a bit of my joy.
“I’m really sorry, Kitarou. As her partner, I should have told Mina not to aim for Shiina-san, but―wait a second. What’s with that note?”
Enami, who was paired with Minagawa during the PE class earlier, unexpectedly spoke to me from behind.
Then, she caught sight of the note I was holding, along with the utterly creepy message inside it.
(…Sorry, Kaminogi.)
Kaminogi gave a thumbs up as he kept smiling, but his face was quickly turning pale.
Kaminogi… be strong and persevere…!
Enami-san stayed silent, but afterwards, I couldn’t help but notice that she would look at Kaminogi as if he were trash.
◇◇◇
“―So, Suda! How was it?!”
“Oi, Kaminogi. Enami-san’s still glaring at you… You should at least wait a bit―”
“You fool! Your memories will fade away as time passes! It’s all about freshness! Freshness!”
As expected of the mentality monster.
Also, I was quite happy at the fact that this guy didn’t call me Kitarou.
Author’s notes:
