“Umm, so, your choreography right now only has all of you moving identically to one another, so if we have each of you diversify your moves a bit, it will result in a more dramatic and lively dance overall… or something like that.”

The following day, Sunday.

As per Eldora’s notes, I began instructing Shiorin and the others on their dancing.

Hasumi had to help out at her store and Rinka had to take another make-up class, so it was just me today.

I explained to Shiorin and the others that Eldora was “a dance instructor I was acquainted with”.

In reality, this “dance instructor I was acquainted with” was going to hold a concert tomorrow that was going to completely fill up America’s largest theater.

“I-Is that really okay? I mean, just matching each other’s moves is already hard enough for us…”

Mihorin anxiously asked.

“Don’t worry, it won’t be difficult. Eld―The dance instructor has watched you girls dance and apparently each of you have your own tendencies and habits when it comes to dancing, so if you use those tendencies to your advantage and combine them together cleverly, your dancing will improve drastically… Apparently.”

I then read the memo that I had on hand out loud.

“Akarin tends to be a bit swift in her movements, but is very sharp and precise overall, especially in her turns. Mihorin on the other hand is a bit slower, but each of her movements carries beauty and elegance, particularly her hand gestures all the way down to the way her fingers move. Lastly, Shiorin watches the other two girls’ movements closely and maintains a tempo right in the middle, giving the dance an overall sense of stability.”

Shiorin and the other girls exclaimed in admiration. “Oooh~!”

No, for real though. This guy’s incredible.

He only watched the video one time.

“It takes time to correct habits and overcome weaknesses, and more importantly, it’s not fun to do. That’s why I’ve devised a dance routine that incorporates your strengths and weaknesses.”

I kinda sound pompous here, don’t I? I thought as I continued reading out the notes Eldora had written for me.

“If you look at it from a different perspective, your weaknesses can be said to be your strengths instead. That is called “originality”. Show this “originality” to the audience and use it to excite them―”

As soon as I read that part, I crushed the paper in my hands.

Isn’t this what I said to Eldora a long time ago?!

That little… He’s using my dark past…

Back then, I’d gotten too carried away because I had just started gaining popularity…!

I saw that Eldora looked depressed, so I acted all self-important and pompous by treating him to dinner and saying these words to him, but logically speaking, I was actually younger than him; plus, what on earth was I saying to a future world-famous dancer?

Afterwards, he told me, “I will make use of this ‘originality’ of mine!” A few days later, he left his group… Could it be that Eldora leaving his group and becoming independent was caused by my high-handed words…?

“Turning weaknesses into strengths… So that’s ‘originality’. Wow, I’ve never thought about it like that before!”

“This instructor is really considerate and thoughtful about us!”

“I’ve only ever heard others tell me to “fix” my mistakes, so hearing this makes me feel much better!”

And so, Shiorin and the other girls smiled brightly as they continued pouring salt into my wounds.

Sorry, those are actually words from my chuunibyou years that I’m repeating now…
