On the path of the school, tall trees cast their shade from above, while the lush grass covered it from below. Sparrows chirped, there nests built in the branches above, some even hatched their young in the air-conditioning holes of library. From time to time, on the teachers' car parked below those towering branches were lumps of shit, a fitting signifier of this trip.
Xiaoya: "Then... that means Mo Yichen came to class three for me?"
Looking at the closed door of the library, Xiaoya told Mo Yichen: "On the first day of school, the library is only opened for half the day."
Lu Xiaobei now rested her hand on Xiaoya's shoulder, saying, "I told you before to not go rushing to buy a new one. I had no idea you were in such a hurry."
"She knows." Mo Yichen then added, "Actually, my old homeroom teacher called my house yesterday. She told me that my results in the finals don't matter, since students with a strong foundation will usually have an easier time performing well in the large-scale exams. She really hoped I would've entered the AP classes, but all the power to decide who gets in was with the headmaster. So if my family wanted to know the results in advance, they would have to go to the headmaster's office."
After helping Xiaoya enter, Mo Yichen then added, "I was once in here when the library closed before and even ran into an administrator who suddenly came back for some of their things. But all she did was tell me if I wanted to borrow any books she'd help me find them."
Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."

But Mo Yichen took Xiaoya to the back of the library, opening a window, saying, "Here." Then turned around, crawling in.
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
LuXiaobei recalled Xiaoya's results slip, saying: "There's not actually any relationship between exam results and mobile phone usage."
In response, Xiaoya simply shook her head, allowing Mo Yichen to continue.
Lu Xiaobei then asked, "How did you know when my birthday is?"
Lu Xiaobei then asked, "How did you know when my birthday is?"
"Oh." Xiaoya laughed before taking out a small box from her backpack, handing it to Lu Xiaobei, "Captain, I bought a new phone for you."
Xiaoya was shocked, asking: "A boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"
Standing outside the library window, Xiaoya stammered, "Is... is this okay?"

Mo Yichen: "It's fine. The reading room is locked and we'll only be staying in the study room, there's nothing valuable in there."
"She knows." Mo Yichen then added, "Actually, my old homeroom teacher called my house yesterday. Xiaoya: "Then... that means Mo Yichen came to class three for me?"
Xiaoya: "Then why are you..."
Lu Xiaobei raised her brows before she said, "Didn't I ask you to wait a while before you buy one again?"
Xiang Yi's eyes seemed to have curved into the shape of a crescent moon while she said, "Xiaoya, Yichen."
Mo Yichen: "It's fine. The reading room is locked and we'll only be staying in the study room, there's nothing valuable in there."
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
After helping Xiaoya enter, Mo Yichen then added, "I was once in here when the library closed before and even ran into an administrator who suddenly came back for some of their things. But all she did was tell me if I wanted to borrow any books she'd help me find them."
Xiaoya: "Cases where phones have gotten pick pocketed are practically impossible to end with them being retrieved. My dad lost several of his already. You have any idea how many got replaced while he kept waiting and waiting."
Xiaoya wasn't that close to Xiang Yi. All she knew was the other girl's mother worked for some company and that job was quite an important one. Although her family wasn't practically a money printing machine like Lu Xiaobei's, they were still more well-off than the average person's.
Xiaoya waved then off, then walked over to Lu Xiaobei, calling out to her once more, "Captain? How was your first mock examination?"
"I saw it before on the school forum. There's all kinds of information about you there, and your birthday so happened to be on April Fool's Day. It left a deep impression on me so I memorized it," Xiaoya replied.
Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
In response, Xiaoya simply shook her head, allowing Mo Yichen to continue.
Mo Yichen: "It's because I didn't know anyone in the other classes. But... this ought to be Captain's..."
Xiaoya: "Is the window at the back of the library open all year round?"
Ding Dong Dang Dong
"So when is your birthday?" Lu Xiaobei then asked.
Lu Xiaobei: "Why would I do something like that?"
That phone was the only thing she could bear giving to Lu Xiaobei without diminishing the other girl's class.

Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."
"The advanced class seems to have a fixed amount of places using the 'sponsorship fee' so it shouldn't affect the thirty-five pre-exam students. Because Wang Jianjun from our class said he was sure to enter the advance class last semester before exams. But after correcting the answers he got super mad, making it look like he got more than a few answers wrong. After that, he still got in." Xiaoya then added, "Other people were saying he bought his way in, but I didn't believe them. Seeing how he got in now, I guess it could be true. But it really would be weird to borrow Xiang Yi's money."
"Yes, and no. The school only has two administrators at the library, and it's rare for them to be on duty at the same time. So when it's time to close, they just gave a quick look around then leave. I got locked in her a few times when I wasn't paying attention and would just crawl through the window back here to get out," Mo Yichen explained, adding, "Every time I'm here, I'd close the window but not lock it. This way, as long as no one checks it, it'll be left unlocked."
"I saw it before on the school forum. There's all kinds of information about you there, and your birthday so happened to be on April Fool's Day. It left a deep impression on me so I memorized it," Xiaoya replied.
To which Mo Yichen mumbled: "I'd be nice if (she) thought so too."
Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."
"Yeah." Xiaoya then thought a bit before adding, "Captain, your birthday is in early April, right? So how about I just give this phone to you as a birthday gift? I even made sure to buy a new model." Although Xiaoya not too long ago thought that Mo Yichen borrowing money from Xiang Yi wasn't such a good thing, and Lu Xiaobei wasn't in any need when it came to getting a phone. She did, however, greatly cherish Lu Xiaobei as a friend, and wanted to nothing but the very best for her.

Xiaoya: "What?"
Mo Yichen nodded.
Hearing this, Xiaoya chuckled, saying: "Then this is Mo Yichen's secret base."
Xiaoya: "Is the window at the back of the library open all year round?"
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Xiaoya: "Then... that means Mo Yichen came to class three for me?"
Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
Mo Yichen the sent me a message, "Captain and Xiang Yi are coming in a little while."
In a daze by the act, Xiaoya then asked: "Yichen, isn't that the paper the class monitor just gave you?"
Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. Whether my parents pay the money for me or not is there business, and me telling them about it or not, is my own." Mo Yichen continued, "After I told my father, he said he would think about it. He kept thinking about it last night too, and also didn't give a reply."
"Okay." Xiaoya then asked, "Does Captain know you and I are here together?"
Considering it to be the first gift Xiaoya had spent money to buy for her, Lu Xiaobei replied, "Then I'll accept it." But, actually, Xiaoya had bought a gift for her prior, it was a small change purse. However, it was given as a free gift when Xiaoya had bought a little teddy bear, so Lu Xiaobei had chosen to not count it.
Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
Mo Yichen nodded.

Xiaoya: "So why did you throw it away? Also, why did you say you're barely on QQ? I always see you online."
Mo Yichen continued, "I didn't think of that either back then, it was Xiang Yi who explained it to me when I told her. She also helped me ask Captain about it. After Captain asked around, for someone in my position, about ten-thousand would be enough."
In a daze by the act, Xiaoya then asked: "Yichen, isn't that the paper the class monitor just gave you?"
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."
Xiaoya: "No way. My mom won't let me play on phones because she said it'll affect my studies."
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
"Oh..." Xiaoya sighed. "I never even thought of that."
Mo Yichen kept her silence for a while longer before replying: "(She) looks gentle and easy to get along with on the outside, but (she) actually has a very strong desire to control. So I don't want to get into arguments with (her) because of insignificant people."
"Cough. Cough." However, such worldly matters aren't often perfect, as those glorious moments also possesses creatures in which discord may appear.
Xiaoya: "Why?"
"Oh." Xiaoya laughed before taking out a small box from her backpack, handing it to Lu Xiaobei, "Captain, I bought a new phone for you."
Mo Yichen: "If I go to the advance class, someone else will have to lose their place. It'd be too unfair to do that to someone else. Besides that, I don't want to use Xiang Yi's money."
Lu Xiaobei: "Keep it for yourself. I'd be more convenient for you to contact me and your classmates."
Xiaoya was shocked, asking: "A boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"
Xiaoya: "Then why are you..."
Standing outside the library window, Xiaoya stammered, "Is... is this okay?"
Xiaoya was shocked, asking: "A boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"
Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."

Xiaoya waved then off, then walked over to Lu Xiaobei, calling out to her once more, "Captain? How was your first mock examination?"
Xiaoya was shocked, asking: "A boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"
Suspicious, Xiaoya stared at the phone in Lu Xiaobei's hand. "Is that real or fake? You didn't just buy back a new one, did you?" For Xiaoya, this situation went against common sense.
Xiaoya: "So have you told your parents about it then?" Xiaoya thought about if she had the chance to get into the advanced classes for ten-thousand yuan, her mother would pay it upfront without saying another word.
Mo Yichen: "To the contrary, Xiang Yi said she could lend me the money."
Mo Yichen didn't admit to it, but she didn't deny it either.
But Xiaoya replied, "There's no need for that. All I want is to do my very best to treat you kindly, Captain."
The crisp spring air carried a chill, the orange rays from beyond brought with them warmth. On the form of those two girls locked in an embrace, was sprinkled not just beauty but warmth.
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."
Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."
Beside her was Lu Xiaobei, who had yet to say a word. Even when Xiaoya called out to greet her, all she did was send the other a quick glance. Xiang Yi took hold of Yichen's hand, saying, "Captain, Xiaoya, I reserved a room at a hotel for me and Yichen, so we'll be leaving first."
Xiaoya took her silence as an admission though, saying: "But that's not weird at all. I mean, you're really pretty, so of course there'd be people pursuing you. But... the class monitor is a girl, so why would he care?"
Xiaoya: "What?"
"If I take it back, my mother will definitely return it. Plus, she doesn't know I bought an apple one since she only gave me two-thousand (295 USD). I made up the rest with my new year's gift money." Xiaoya then continued, "I won't have the time to return it myself after school, so I have to explain it to her which would be such a pain."
Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."
"So when is your birthday?" Lu Xiaobei then asked.

Xiaoya: "Is the window at the back of the library open all year round?"
Lu Xiaobei: "Is it really a gift for me? You should've just bought something this expensive for yourself. Won't you regret it after you go home?"
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Xiaoya took her silence as an admission though, saying: "But that's not weird at all. I mean, you're really pretty, so of course there'd be people pursuing you. But... the class monitor is a girl, so why would he care?"

In response, Xiaoya simply shook her head, allowing Mo Yichen to continue.
Xiaoya nodded, "It really is a gift." Then while pretending to be a bastion of generosity she added, "Besides, it'd be useless for me to keep it. If I'm carrying around the newest model of an iPhone in my pocket, I couldn't risk taking the bus any more because I'd be too scared I'd get pick pocketed again."
To which Mo Yichen mumbled: "I'd be nice if (she) thought so too."
Xiaoya: "Then why are you..."
Lu Xiaobei raised her brows before she said, "Didn't I ask you to wait a while before you buy one again?"
Mo Yichen closed the book then placed it back in her bag. "Captain asked me if there were any regular class I'd like to get in if I didn't make it into the advanced class. Captain said you were in class three and was it possible it could be arranged for me."
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. Whether my parents pay the money for me or not is there business, and me telling them about it or not, is my own." Mo Yichen continued, "After I told my father, he said he would think about it. Resting her bag on the table, Lu Xiaobei replying simply, "Fine. You came looking for me so is there something wrong?"
"I don't know, I just thought so." Xiaoya then added, "But what are we going to do now? Isn't this phone now an extra?"
Xiaoya: "What?"
Wearing an unfathomable expression, Mo Yichen asked instead, "You heard what the homeroom teacher said, right? Do you understand what they meant?"
Mo Yichen stared at the book in her hand, a faint smile resembling the melting of ice and snow appearing on her face, "In any case, (she) is still the person I hold most dear."
But Mo Yichen took Xiaoya to the back of the library, opening a window, saying, "Here." Then turned around, crawling in.
"Cough. Cough." However, such worldly matters aren't often perfect, as those glorious moments also possesses creatures in which discord may appear.

"My final exam scores weren't ideal so I couldn't enter the advanced classes. But my teacher had high hopes for me, so they said if my parents gave the principal a 'sponsorship fee' I could get into the advanced classes."
The school bell rung once more, and not long after, the once peaceful school-yard was soon filled with noise. From the treading steps, to the joy-filled laughter, both were as boisterous as they were filled with life.
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."
Mo Yichen closed the book then placed it back in her bag. "Captain asked me if there were any regular class I'd like to get in if I didn't make it into the advanced class. Captain said you were in class three and was it possible it could be arranged for me."
Mo Yichen: "Since Captain was the one who asked aout about it, it must be the real price."
The crisp spring air carried a chill, the orange rays from beyond brought with them warmth. On the form of those two girls locked in an embrace, was sprinkled not just beauty but warmth.

Xiaoya: "It's at the end of July, and too early. You should be getting the your acceptance letter for university around that time too, Captain."
Li Xiaobei: ...
"Yeah." Xiaoya then thought a bit before adding, "Captain, your birthday is in early April, right? So how about I just give this phone to you as a birthday gift? I even made sure to buy a new model." Mo Yichen nodded.

Second Update
Xiaoya: "Is the window at the back of the library open all year round?"
Looking at the closed door of the library, Xiaoya told Mo Yichen: "On the first day of school, the library is only opened for half the day."

Wearing an unfathomable expression, Mo Yichen asked instead, "You heard what the homeroom teacher said, right? Do you understand what they meant?"
"That's not expensive." The coastal town in the south where Xiaoya's high school is located has a comparatively developed economy and that average income per capita there has recently reached five-thousand. Despite ten-thousand being no small sum, and about worth three months rent for a small house, when it's compared to the future of one's daughter, the price isn't actually that high.
Xiaoya: "Oh..." It was another person's family matter, so Xiaoya couldn't comment on it that much. However, she did feel it was too pitiful.
Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."
Lu Xiaobei slowly pulled out a phone from her pocket, saying, "Actually, the police were very efficient in their handling of the case. The moment the phone was pawned off, they tracked it down."

Mo Yichen: "Since Captain was the one who asked aout about it, it must be the real price."
"I don't know, I just thought so." Xiaoya then added, "But what are we going to do now? Isn't this phone now an extra?"
Mo Yichen nodded.
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. LuXiaobei recalled Xiaoya's results slip, saying: "There's not actually any relationship between exam results and mobile phone usage."
Lu Xiaobei raised her brows before she said, "Didn't I ask you to wait a while before you buy one again?"
Xiaoya: "So have you told your parents about it then?" Xiaoya thought about if she had the chance to get into the advanced classes for ten-thousand yuan, her mother would pay it upfront without saying another word.
Xiaoya: "So have you told your parents about it then?" Xiaoya thought about if she had the chance to get into the advanced classes for ten-thousand yuan, her mother would pay it upfront without saying another word.
Resting her bag on the table, Lu Xiaobei replying simply, "Fine. You came looking for me so is there something wrong?"
Xiang Yi's eyes seemed to have curved into the shape of a crescent moon while she said, "Xiaoya, Yichen."
Xiaoya wasn't that close to Xiang Yi. All she knew was the other girl's mother worked for some company and that job was quite an important one. Although her family wasn't practically a money printing machine like Lu Xiaobei's, they were still more well-off than the average person's.
"Okay." Xiaoya then asked, "Does Captain know you and I are here together?"
Xiang Yi's eyes seemed to have curved into the shape of a crescent moon while she said, "Xiaoya, Yichen."
But Mo Yichen took Xiaoya to the back of the library, opening a window, saying, "Here." Then turned around, crawling in.
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. Whether my parents pay the money for me or not is there business, and me telling them about it or not, is my own." Mo Yichen continued, "After I told my father, he said he would think about it. Xiaoya: "So... did your family go there to ask?"
"Oh..." Xiaoya sighed. "I never even thought of that."
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. Whether my parents pay the money for me or not is there business, and me telling them about it or not, is my own." Mo Yichen continued, "After I told my father, he said he would think about it. Lu Xiaobei: "So... this was bought mostly with your own money?"
Xiaoya waved then off, then walked over to Lu Xiaobei, calling out to her once more, "Captain? How was your first mock examination?"
LuXiaobei recalled Xiaoya's results slip, saying: "There's not actually any relationship between exam results and mobile phone usage."
Xiaoya: "Oh..." It was another person's family matter, so Xiaoya couldn't comment on it that much. However, she did feel it was too pitiful.
Xiaoya: "No way. My mom won't let me play on phones because she said it'll affect my studies."
Mo Yichen: "To the contrary, Xiang Yi said she could lend me the money."
Li Xiaobei: ...
Xiaoya: "Then why are you..."
To which Mo Yichen mumbled: "I'd be nice if (she) thought so too."
Suspicious, Xiaoya stared at the phone in Lu Xiaobei's hand. "Is that real or fake? You didn't just buy back a new one, did you?" For Xiaoya, this situation went against common sense.
Mo Yichen: "If I go to the advance class, someone else will have to lose their place. It'd be too unfair to do that to someone else. Besides that, I don't want to use Xiang Yi's money."

iana: Xiaoya really knows how to say things that get's our Captain's heart churning more than the high seas.[] About Mo Yichen and Xiang Yi... all I'm going to say is: with a taste of your lips, I'm on a ride | you're toxic, I'm slippin' under~
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."

"My final exam scores weren't ideal so I couldn't enter the advanced classes. But my teacher had high hopes for me, so they said if my parents gave the principal a 'sponsorship fee' I could get into the advanced classes."

That phone was the only thing she could bear giving to Lu Xiaobei without diminishing the other girl's class.
Xiaoya: "It's at the end of July, and too early. You should be getting the your acceptance letter for university around that time too, Captain."
Xiaoya: "Then why are you..."
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
Xiaoya: "It really is the original one!"
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Xiaoya: "So... did your family go there to ask?"
Mo Yichen closed the book then placed it back in her bag. "Captain asked me if there were any regular class I'd like to get in if I didn't make it into the advanced class. Captain said you were in class three and was it possible it could be arranged for me."
In response, Xiaoya simply shook her head, allowing Mo Yichen to continue.
Xiaoya: "Then... that means Mo Yichen came to class three for me?"
Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
Mo Yichen: "It's because I didn't know anyone in the other classes. But... this ought to be Captain's..."

Wearing an unfathomable expression, Mo Yichen asked instead, "You heard what the homeroom teacher said, right? Do you understand what they meant?"
"I saw it before on the school forum. There's all kinds of information about you there, and your birthday so happened to be on April Fool's Day. It left a deep impression on me so I memorized it," Xiaoya replied.
"Wow! Mo Yichen is really nice." Xiaoya threw herself straight at the other girl, giving her a bear hug, holding her as she added, "I like you so freaking much!"
Resting her bag on the table, Lu Xiaobei replying simply, "Fine. You came looking for me so is there something wrong?"
Lu Xiaobei slowly pulled out a phone from her pocket, saying, "Actually, the police were very efficient in their handling of the case. The moment the phone was pawned off, they tracked it down."

The crisp spring air carried a chill, the orange rays from beyond brought with them warmth. On the form of those two girls locked in an embrace, was sprinkled not just beauty but warmth.
"Wow! Mo Yichen is really nice." Xiaoya threw herself straight at the other girl, giving her a bear hug, holding her as she added, "I like you so freaking much!"
Mo Yichen continued, "I didn't think of that either back then, it was Xiang Yi who explained it to me when I told her. She also helped me ask Captain about it. After Captain asked around, for someone in my position, about ten-thousand would be enough."
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
"Cough. Cough." However, such worldly matters aren't often perfect, as those glorious moments also possesses creatures in which discord may appear.
After helping Xiaoya enter, Mo Yichen then added, "I was once in here when the library closed before and even ran into an administrator who suddenly came back for some of their things. But all she did was tell me if I wanted to borrow any books she'd help me find them."
Xiaoya: "What?"
Suspicious, Xiaoya stared at the phone in Lu Xiaobei's hand. "Is that real or fake? You didn't just buy back a new one, did you?" For Xiaoya, this situation went against common sense.
Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."
Hearing this, Xiaoya chuckled, saying: "Then this is Mo Yichen's secret base."
Xiaoya: "Oh..." It was another person's family matter, so Xiaoya couldn't comment on it that much. However, she did feel it was too pitiful.
Lu Xiaobei: "So... this was bought mostly with your own money?"
Mo Yichen nodded.
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."
Xiang Yi's eyes seemed to have curved into the shape of a crescent moon while she said, "Xiaoya, Yichen."
Lu Xiaobei: "Is it really a gift for me? You should've just bought something this expensive for yourself. Won't you regret it after you go home?"
But Mo Yichen took Xiaoya to the back of the library, opening a window, saying, "Here." Then turned around, crawling in.

Xiaoya took her silence as an admission though, saying: "But that's not weird at all. I mean, you're really pretty, so of course there'd be people pursuing you. But... the class monitor is a girl, so why would he care?"
Mo Yichen didn't admit to it, but she didn't deny it either.
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."

Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."

Resting her bag on the table, Lu Xiaobei replying simply, "Fine. You came looking for me so is there something wrong?"
Mo Yichen: "It's fine. The reading room is locked and we'll only be staying in the study room, there's nothing valuable in there."
Xiaoya: "No way. My mom won't let me play on phones because she said it'll affect my studies."
"I didn't want to tell them anything in the beginning, but Xiang Yi talked me into it. Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."
"Oh." Xiaoya laughed before taking out a small box from her backpack, handing it to Lu Xiaobei, "Captain, I bought a new phone for you."
Mo Yichen nodded.
Lu Xiaobei raised her brows before she said, "Didn't I ask you to wait a while before you buy one again?"
Xiaoya took the phone in Lu Xiaobei's hand, inspecting it. The phone having a small dent on its upper right corner. This was cause by her once when she was lying in bed and it fell by accident and had broke.
Xiaoya: "Cases where phones have gotten pick pocketed are practically impossible to end with them being retrieved. My dad lost several of his already. You have any idea how many got replaced while he kept waiting and waiting."
Mo Yichen closed the book then placed it back in her bag. "Captain asked me if there were any regular class I'd like to get in if I didn't make it into the advanced class. Captain said you were in class three and was it possible it could be arranged for me."

Mo Yichen: "My (girl)friendT/n: Yichen never specified the gender, and she/he uses the same sounded word. gets very jealous, so I have take (her) feelings into consideration."
Mo Yichen stared at the book in her hand, a faint smile resembling the melting of ice and snow appearing on her face, "In any case, (she) is still the person I hold most dear."
Lu Xiaobei: "Keep it for yourself. I'd be more convenient for you to contact me and your classmates."
Lu Xiaobei slowly pulled out a phone from her pocket, saying, "Actually, the police were very efficient in their handling of the case. The moment the phone was pawned off, they tracked it down."

Lu Xiaobei: "Why would I do something like that?"

Lu Xiaobei: "So... this was bought mostly with your own money?"
"So when is your birthday?" Lu Xiaobei then asked.
Mo Yichen: "Since Captain was the one who asked aout about it, it must be the real price."

Mo Yichen kept her silence for a while longer before replying: "(She) looks gentle and easy to get along with on the outside, but (she) actually has a very strong desire to control. So I don't want to get into arguments with (her) because of insignificant people."

LuXiaobei recalled Xiaoya's results slip, saying: "There's not actually any relationship between exam results and mobile phone usage."
Xiaoya: "So... did your family go there to ask?"
Xiaoya: "Cases where phones have gotten pick pocketed are practically impossible to end with them being retrieved. My dad lost several of his already. You have any idea how many got replaced while he kept waiting and waiting."
Grasping Xiaoya'a arms, Mo Yichen retreated a few steps. "Xiang Yi, Captain, you guys are here."
Xiaoya: "Oh..." It was another person's family matter, so Xiaoya couldn't comment on it that much. However, she did feel it was too pitiful.
Lu Xiaobei: "Keep it for yourself. I'd be more convenient for you to contact me and your classmates."
Lu Xiaobei then asked, "How did you know when my birthday is?"
"Wow! Mo Yichen is really nice." Xiaoya threw herself straight at the other girl, giving her a bear hug, holding her as she added, "I like you so freaking much!"
"I saw it before on the school forum. There's all kinds of information about you there, and your birthday so happened to be on April Fool's Day. It left a deep impression on me so I memorized it," Xiaoya replied.
"So when is your birthday?" Lu Xiaobei then asked.
The school bell rung once more, and not long after, the once peaceful school-yard was soon filled with noise. From the treading steps, to the joy-filled laughter, both were as boisterous as they were filled with life.
Li Xiaobei: ...
"So when is your birthday?" Lu Xiaobei then asked.
Mo Yichen: "Since Captain was the one who asked aout about it, it must be the real price."
Xiaoya: "It's at the end of July, and too early. You should be getting the your acceptance letter for university around that time too, Captain."
Xiaoya: "So why did you throw it away? Also, why did you say you're barely on QQ? I always see you online."
Looking at the closed door of the library, Xiaoya told Mo Yichen: "On the first day of school, the library is only opened for half the day."
Mo Yichen: "Because I won't be adding her."
LuXiaobei recalled Xiaoya's results slip, saying: "There's not actually any relationship between exam results and mobile phone usage."
To which Mo Yichen mumbled: "I'd be nice if (she) thought so too."
"I saw it before on the school forum. There's all kinds of information about you there, and your birthday so happened to be on April Fool's Day. It left a deep impression on me so I memorized it," Xiaoya replied.
As if deep in thought, Lu Xiaobei nodded then said: "When that time comes I'll give you something better."
Mo Yichen stared at the book in her hand, a faint smile resembling the melting of ice and snow appearing on her face, "In any case, (she) is still the person I hold most dear."
Second Update
Lu Xiaobei then asked, "How did you know when my birthday is?"
Xiaoya was shocked, asking: "A boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Xiaoya: "So why did you throw it away? Also, why did you say you're barely on QQ? I always see you online."
But Xiaoya replied, "There's no need for that. All I want is to do my very best to treat you kindly, Captain."
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Xiaoya: "No way. My mom won't let me play on phones because she said it'll affect my studies."
In a daze by the act, Xiaoya then asked: "Yichen, isn't that the paper the class monitor just gave you?"
Xiaoya: "If I was your boyfriend, I would cherish you dearly. Yichen is really nice, super gentle, and so considerate."
Frowning, Xiaoya to the other girl explained, "I was scared you would buy a second-hand one to fool me."
Xiaoya waved then off, then walked over to Lu Xiaobei, calling out to her once more, "Captain? How was your first mock examination?"
Mo Yichen: "I guess so." As she then pulled out a chair and sat down before casually tossing a piece of paper into the waste basket.
The crisp spring air carried a chill, the orange rays from beyond brought with them warmth. On the form of those two girls locked in an embrace, was sprinkled not just beauty but warmth.
That phone was the only thing she could bear giving to Lu Xiaobei without diminishing the other girl's class.
