Chapter 011 - So one needs to factor in economics when studying metaphysics? (2)
Tan Muxing got curious, “Capricorn? He Shichen is a Capricorn?”
“Not his sun sigh but a few of the stars fell into Capricorn so he has a lot of Capricorn traits,” said Chu Qianli.
Tan Muxing, “A few stars?”
“I am referring to his star chart.” Out of habit, Chu Qianli asked, “Can you tell me your birth date, time, and location?”
Tan Muxing looked at her, at loss. He wasn’t good at turning people down so he proceeded to provide her with his information docilely.
Chu Qianli put together his chart in her head roughly and she was a little surprised. She then pulled over a piece of paper and drafted it out. She looked up at him, amazed, and exclaimed, “You are a character. Same as He Shichen!”
He Shichen was the male lead of the novel so he had a very unique star chart. He was obviously no ordinary person.
Nevertheless, Tan Muxing’s star chart was every bit as impressive as his.
Tan Muxing, who resembled a silly looking polar bear in appearance, waved his hands in a panic and quickly said, “Impossible! I am far from being like him!”
He Shichen was the top in everything that he did and Tan Muxing was not even well-liked. The two couldn’t not even be compared with each other.
“Having a star chart that was good in all ways can also make one weak. You just haven’t discovered your strength yet is all,” said Chu Qianli slowly. “What I am about to say next is not a lecture. It’s just a small advice from an astrologist. Self-confidence will be your first step toward maturity.”
There were not a lot of bumps in Tan Muxing’s star chart but that did not mean he could sail though life without running into any humps. Having bountiful advantages in life could make one indulge. Many a times, the breakthroughs in life happen during harsh situations. One’s potential could be brought out through pain and suffering.
Chu Qianli’s serious manner that was the polar opposite of how she was all morning surprised Tan Muxing.
Tan Muxing wanted to continue to explain himself but, hearing the part where she said he needed to have more confident in himself, he said in a low voice, “I hope you are right then.”
Chu Qianli was pleased, “Good. Should we go get lunch?”
Tan Muxing, “Oh? You want to go with me? Don’t you want to make some other friends?”
Chu Qianli stood up relaxingly. “The stars said perhaps the two of us could be friends.”
Tan Muxing had mixed feelings toward that. He asked weakly, “So you listen to the stars on everything?”
He seemed to have her way of thinking figured out. She always made her decisions based on the stars and she was also friendly toward him because of the stars.
Chu Qianli gave him a sideway glance and said, “Have some confidence in yourself. The stars only provide guidance and let me know who I will be compatible with. The actual relationship still needs to be maintained by both parties.
“The stars can help but one must help oneself; otherwise, it won’t matter what the stars are saying.”
Chu Qianli added slowly, “But I am lazy in nature. You will need to do most of the maintaining of our friendship. I am just going to make an effort symbolically.”
Tan Muxing, “?”
Tan Muxing, “You sound like a swindler or a scam artist.”
Chu Qianli, “Have some confidence in yourself. You can drop the ‘like’.”
Tan Muxing, “……”
Inside the gorgeously decorated cafeteria, Tan Muxing brought Chu Qianli over for her first meal at this school. He told her which ones are their specialties and brought over utensils for her and stood in line with her. The entire time his voice was soft and he was very attentive.
Chu Qianli couldn't help but commented, “You have the warmth of a mother.”
Tan Muxing was taken aback a little. He eyes dimmed. Then, seeing that she didn’t mean anything by that, he summoned up enough courage and said, “I don’t really like that comparison.”
Chu Qianli was a little shocked. “Why not?”
“Because……” Tan Muxing hesitated for a little before he told her the truth. His voice so soft it was barely audible. “Because I like arts and crafts and the boys in class said that I am like a girl.”
Wang Zheng and the others always mocked him for being too feminine. As such, he found certain comparisons a little sensitive.
